“Great time in Israel”

Reviewed 20 Jun 2012

We have stayed at the apartment in the first week of June and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. First of all, Nechama was so quick and efficient with answering all our queries, and her advice on various matters during our stay was great. Second, the apartment was lovely, cosy and with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, for me that is always important to have a proper sleep. It was lovely to find out that there was water, milk, tea and coffee on our arrival, so we did not need to rush to the shops straight away. Third, location was great, with lots of restaurants and bars, shops just around the corner, short walk to the beach and short walk to the main road with the buses to anywhere in Tel aviv. The area was quiet though and very safe. We were planning to rent a car, but it has fallen through in the last minute and we were glad that we did not have a car. Public transport was excellent, there were frequent buses to anywhere we wanted to go (to the bus station for a trip to Jerusalem and to the train station for a trip to the airport). The rest we have done by walking, Old Jaffa city, beach, etc. We definitely found that renting an apartment was far cheaper and better option that staying in the hotel.

“fun in the florentine”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2011

great apartment and in a perfect location in the Florentine. i've now stayed here twice when i've been in Tel aviv for work, all-in-all for ~6 weeks. both times Nechama was a fantastic host - she arranged cleanings of the apartment, provided local dining suggestions, and answered all my random email questions immediately. the apartment is cozy; has a functional, fully-outfitted kitchen with a rapid-heating rangetop (unlike the hotplate "kitchens" i saw posted in other Tel aviv apartments); arctic aC and decent heater, big TV + speedy wifi; and is, perhaps most importantly, *just* around the corner from laundry, a convenience store and fantastic restaurants+bars, but not too close so that it's too noisy. the location is also great for trips farther afield: i was working in Rehovot and so had to take trains daily from the HaHagana station (also for trains to/from the airport) - the walk to the station is easy or there are a few options for public transport. getting to Jafo or north Tel aviv is just as easy by walking, but there is also one of the new public rent-a-bike ("tel-o-fun") stands right around the corner. a perfect experience for my first trips to Israel, i'd love to stay here again on my next trip - thanks, Nechama! (note: the map on this site seems to be wrong - the apartment's in the area of Hertzl and Florentin streets in the Florentin district)
