“Cosy Corner”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2017

Cosy Corner was great all round and very spacious for a one bedroom flat in Millport. I would recommend the flat and having a washing machine now made it even better. Jennifer couldn't have been more helpful.

Response from the owner Thank you, how kind of you! We would be delighted to welcome you back another time.

“Great flat”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2012

Very happy with the service, Jennifer gave good directions to the flat and it was very central to everything. Good sized living/dining room with bed settees, large double bedroom, well fitted kitchen and bathroom. The flat was extremely well equipped with everything you needed. Would be quite suitable for a family of four.

“Cosy, comfortable, quiet & peaceful!”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2012

Jen is a fantastic host! She was extremely accommodating and very welcoming! We met at the flat where she gave me the keys & a quick tour. I instantly felt at ease. After she left I discovered that she'd even left us a fresh litre of milk to settle us in, which was really nice of her. You couldn't ask for a better host really. The flat is great... very cosy & has everything you need. The living-room is a bit like a snug... the sofa is super comfy and the little heater is very effective at heating the room up. The kitchen is well equipped. I've stayed in places where you've had to bring your own salt, pepper, oil, washing-up liquid etc... as I recall however, it was equipped with all those things, which makes life a lot easier as those are the things you most often forget. The bedroom wash lovely. Huge big bed with a nice wooden frame. The bedroom was a bit cold, but we used the hot-water-bottle, which I prefer anyway as I don't sleep well when I'm too hot. The bathroom was clean and again, well equipped. The location of the flat was perfect. I imagine it would be perfect if you had small children as the area leading to the flat's secured with a gate. It also has a secured area behind the flat and there's a little garden table & chair, ideal for reading if there weather's nice. The neighbours are nice too! The beach is literally 30 seconds away and the shops are a 2 minute walk away (if that). It was lovely just walking up and down the sea front. Be sure to check out the toy shop... we must've spent at least an hour in there (and we don't have kids!). This little flat's really a home away from home. We're a couple in our 20s and it was perfect for a little romantic break. As a child however, I know I would've loved staying here too! The flat reminded me very much of places my parents took me to when I was young, and I always loved them! Highly recommended!

“excellent, very peaceful”

Reviewed 30 May 2012

The house at crawford street was very local to everything we need, been going to millport every year and now found the best place to stay. The flat had everything we needed inside and the bed was very comfy. The service was great, brilliant communication from Jen. Place was very peaceful excellent for a week break. Was very close to the park so we enjoyed long walks with my puppy, she enjoyed chasing the birds too. My mum and I found it very relaxing and we even got to watch the 3 seals playing in the water at the park at tea time. I have recommended the flat to a friend and she is going next week. Will be back again soon. Thank you.

“Millport Long Weekend”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2012

I stayed with a group of riends for a long weekend in the flat. We met Jennifer who was waiting for us in the flat at an agreed time. She gave us a guided tour of the flat and some additional advice for our stay. There is a book in the flat containing information on Millport and the island. The flat is well equipped and comfortable. It is located close to the centre of the town within easy reach of shops etc.

“Another relaxing holiday in Millport”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2011

Comfortable accommodation in a great location close to all amenities. Jen provided excellent prompt service and there was plenty information for any first timers to the island. Additional bonus was that the flat was pet friendly as the dog also loved it.

“A wet holiday but really enjoyable!”

Reviewed 16 May 2011

We booked Crawford Street with ease and received good communication from the owner, Jen. Jen met us at the flat and gave us a full run through of the flat and area. The Tea, coffee and milk that was left was a real bonus and welcome after a six hour drive. The flat is located in the heart of Millport but is on a quiet street. The accommodation had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Although the weather was not great we still managed to get out and about walking and cycling. Fintray Bay Tearooms was excellent, especially if you cycle anti-clockwise round the island you get there at the eight mile mark and can enjoy a full scottish breakfast to keep you going for the last 2 miles! We also ate out in the Indian restaurant (3 courses for £10.00) which served delicious indian cuisine. A late lunch/early Tea was had in the Royal George and again the food was excellent value for money. Largs also offered many places to eat which we did on one occassion in the afternoon. I would recommend driving to the ferry and leaving the car and crossing as a foot passenger if you decide to cross the water. We took our dog on holiday and he thoroughly enjoyed all the walks and beach runs. Not to be missed is walking down the sea front and watching the seals play very very close to the shore. All the locals were very welcoming and would take time to chat and ask how your stay was going. Many locals often recommended things to do as well. This holiday did everything we asked for; relaxing, no rushing, easy going, clean air(!) and stress free. What was welcoming was the limited phone signal I had with O2. A real bonus if you want a real break from the outside world! If you are looking for accommodation that is cheap but of a high standard then this is the place. Thank you to Jen for making the holiday very welcoming.

Response from the owner so glad you enjoyed your holiday in spite of the weather! Thanks for such a positive review- we hope to see you back again once the wee one is born!

“A great get away from it all break”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2011

This comfortable and clean flat is close enough to the shops and cafes, but far enough away that you don't get disturbed. Millport itself is a great place for a family with young children as they can spend hours in the rock pools, at the swing park or cycling round theisland. A great place to recharge the batterires. A special mention for the giant bed in the bedroom - I defy you not to have a great sleep!
