“Wonderful place to stay!! Great hospitality and great food!”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2012

My husband and I stayed 3 nights with May and loved every minute of it. She is a great cook and is generous with her baked goods and her breakfast are fabulous. As a guest, you have use of the kitchen, so I made picnic lunches and prepared dinner. The views from the house are awesome. There's also a TV room and free wifi. May is also a wealth of information on the area and other parts of the maritime provinces. I highly recommend May's B&B.;

“Comfortable, great food, most friendly inn keeper, great view!”

I was on a solo landscape painting trip and Moore's was located in the most beautiful coastal area of New Brunswick between St John and St Martins, very quiet, water view, deer in the yard. May is a great cook and makes full breakfasts to order every day. She is also an artist and has beautiful paintings of the area in her gallery in the Inn. She is super friendly and knows the area very well to help guide your visit.

“Amazing views and food”

The views are amazing and the hospitality was unbeatable! The rooms were clean and comfortable and every effort was made to have our entire family feel at home. We would definitely come back again!!!

“Awesome sunrise with total silence!”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2011

Arrived here very late in total darkness after long drive from acadia. Warm welcome by May. Unexpected early wake-up by breaking dawn, sat outside on porch in crispness of the morning, in pyjama's with cuppa tea and gazed at most awesome sunrise from the bay ... paradise on earth! May cooked us a delicious breakfast to conclude the experience, after which we sadly had to leave on our next leg to Halifax. Although we come from far away Holland this is one place we will definitely be coming back to ... and for more than one night this time! Thanks May, for a wonderful and unforgettable experience! “An unexpected gem!”

I first have to say that May Moore is the tops when it comes to warm and welcoming proprietors. My sister and I rented a cottage in Cape Breton and to break our drive from Maine to the island we decided to stay overnight in St. John. After reading unflattering reviews of other B&B;'s and inn's we settled on Moore's Specialties Tourist Home and Gallery. We arrived late, around 9pm, and after being shown to our rooms we were offered the most delicious homemade chocolate cake and tea. It was the best medicine after such a long drive. We were also presented with menus from which we customized our breakfast. In the morning, after what was the best night of sleep I had had in a very long time, we were served a generous breakfast and continued our drive to Cape Breton. The Tourist Home itself is just that; a place when travelers can hang their hats and set up shop. It has been in May's family for several generations, having been built by her great grandfather. Guests have use of the kitchen and a TV room. It is also very near a lovely beach and walking trails. In the warmer months there is even an ice cream shop! My sister and I truly felt fortunate to find this diamond in the rough. I'll be going back again and again.
