“Excellent Condo with all you need”

I just leased this condo one day before I flied to Honolulu. Zaneta responced very quickly and provided all information as detailed as possible. This condo is much better my expection. There are all you need, including body board, shore chair, enough towel, shore umbrella and so on. Everthing is clean. And its view is very nice. I abslutely will recommend this condo my friends.

We stayed in this Unit for 2 weeks with a 2 year old toddler. Location: West end of Waikiki. Unit: Faces north on the 9th floor. The view is great to enjoy on the lanai. It is located at the corner of ala Wai Blvd and McCully (at the the intersection). This is a busy location. The windows in the Unit are glass shutters that can be opened like horizontal blinds through the bedroom and the living room. The noise level, when one is not used to it, is high. There is no air conditioning in the Unit so we had to keep the windows opened to get the breeze in through the Unit. The first few nights we couldn't sleep as the traffic noise was too loud. We had to shut the shutter windows and reply on a fan (which we ended up buying) to keep the Unit cool. If you are used to constant traffic noise without any window barriers, it would not be an issue. The fact that there is no air conditioning in the Unit made it hot and humid all day long. But, it is why we came to Hawaii - to enjoy the sun! The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to cook etc throughout our stay. The building management supplied the Unit with coackroach bait as we noticed roaches in the kitchen. The living room has a nice sofa bed and a flat screen tv and dvd player. There is no phone in the Unit at all. The Wifi internet didn't work when we got in. The owner was very prompt and curteous to get it fixed; however, we had to use our own cell phone to communicate with the owners and cable company on our own dime. Unfortunately for us, Canadian cell phones charge a lot for roaming but we were glad to have internet access fixed quickly. There is no maid service through out the stay, but there are washers and dryers in the building. Overall, the Unit is very well renovated. Despite the nicely appointed inside, the noise level alone would deter us from returning to the building (as all Units seemed to have the same shutters).

Response from the owner Hello, this is the owner responding to the above review. Thank you for the "Great but loud location" review. Our condo is located in Waikiki, Oahu's busiest city next to the ocean, so it is to be expected to have car and foot traffic as you would expect in any major metropolitan city. If you absolutely do not want to hear anything, then I would suggest staying on the North Shore of Oahu where you can have complete quietness all day long. Our AC Unit in the condo is central AC, and has been working since we have owned this unit. We had found that the electrical panel had been switched off for some reason, so the problem was fixed immediately, easy solution. If in the future you cannot operate someone else's AC unit, it would be first wise to contact the owners to let them know that the AC is not working, rather than post on the internet that there is no AC. This is not true as the AC works, and has always worked perfectly. Fortunately with living in a condominium that fronts the water, the views can be spectacular day and night, however, the occasional bug may fly inside the unit if you leave the sliding glass patio door open, as you would expect in any home or apartment. As a preventative measure, we have the unit inspected and treated for all types of bugs to keep the unit free of any critters. If you stay in our condominium, we don't provide daily maid service as a hotel would, however, we do have maid service available as an additional charge, please arrange this with us when you are inquiring about our condo. In all, I think having our condominium completely renovated from floor to ceiling six months ago means that everything is completely new and fully functional. As I had stated earlier, if for any unknown reason something isn't working or you can't find something, we have always been extremely prompt to remedy all problems. We have pride of ownership in our condo and you can easily see and feel it in the unit!
