Imagine….wandering through the forest and stumbling upon a hidden gem…eagles soaring, fish jumping, children swimming in a warm oceanfront pool, families laughing, and a couple enjoying the tranquillity of a canoe ride to a private island where they can pretend their footprints in the sand are the first ever… Where are you? You are at The Inn of the Sea Resort on Vancouver Island. The resort is spectacularly situated overlooking the Strait of Georgia in the picturesque area of Yellow Point, British Columbia. Just a 20 minute drive south of Nanaimo and only 90 minutes north of Victoria, you have arrived in paradise. Nature at your door with breathtaking ocean views.

Upon arrival, choose from a stroll on the sandstone beach, a vigorous game of tennis followed by a refreshing swim in the ocean-side pool, or a walk in the nearby park. Ease your muscles with a dip in the hot tub. Located just a few minutes away is the Mahle House gourmet restaurant, renowned for its award-winning wine list. If a simpler fare is your taste, the local Crow and Gate Pub is a favourite for its traditional British dishes and casual ambience.

This is a wonderful place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate!

Our beautiful condo is in the resort and we encourage you to take advantage of all the amenities listed above as part of the resort. Our unit is fully equipped to make your vacation easy and complete. The kitchen features a microwave, stove with large oven, a large refrigerator, stainless steel double sink, dishwasher,

toaster oven, and much more. All the pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen utensils you can think of are supplied, including a blender for those important summer refreshments. Even a barbeque is located on the deck just off the kitchen. The main floor bedroom has twin beds that can be combined into a king, a ceiling fan, split A/C, closet, and TV/DVD. Also on the main floor is a full bathroom (also with TV/VCR). All towels and linens are supplied, including beach towels for the pool. The living room has large panoramic windows the length of the wall to take full advantage of the view of the ocean, islands, and distant mountains. For the cooler spring and fall evenings, there is a large fireplace as well as a surround sound system, satellite and cable TV, CD/DVD/VCR players, large comfortable couches and a chair with ottoman. The deck off the living room has a table and chairs for outdoor entertaining on the warmer summer evenings, as well as a lounge for more private sunbathing.

Downstairs on the entrance level is the master bedroom with a Queen size bed. The room has its own small deck with a chair and table-perfect for that quiet morning coffee. There is a large closet, A/C, ceiling fan, and TV/VCR/DVD. This room also has an ensuite bathroom (with another TV/VCR!) with full tub and shower.

The unit has a washer/dryer on the main floor, lots of cupboard and closet space, and toys for the kids. Also included are tennis racquets and balls, games, books, a computer with Internet access, a fax machine, and a video selection of over 250 movies for those occasional rainy days.

“Back to Nature”

Peggy has a lovely condo with everything in it you could need. Beds are great, lovely modern bathrooms, and a great kitchen! The view is incredible. Close enough to Nanaimo to be convenient but far enough out you are surrounded by trees and nature. We have stayed here often. Love the new renos Peggy!!

This one-bedroom condo overlooks Stuart Strait for lovely water views. There are many walking trails in the area and it is close to major centres. Victoria and even Campbell River are easy day trips from this central location. I stayed for 9 weeks and lacked nothing. The condo itself is tastefully decorated and has about everything you could ask for (although a few more hangers would be nice). Even a bookcase with many of my favourite authors and lots of Dvds. It is modern, well stocked and the owner is always accessible to answer questions. Mine was a winter vacation so I didn't sample the pool or hot tub on site. Definitely a place I would return to. This property has the option of a second bedroom and bath.

The condo was fully stocked. There were games for kids as well as small rabbits running around the grounds. The view of the Ocean was superb. There was nothing left to want for. The decor was was tasteful and very comfortable. I would and have recommended this property to others. The location was amazing. A real jewel tucked away.

This was a great condo for our family. The washer and dryer were a huge plus since we had our 2 year old with us. Our view of the sunset on nights the weather cooperated was great. The crab trap was great as it allowed us to catch enough crab with our 3 day license for a great dinner. We found some great places to eat and some fun activities in Nanaimo on rainy days. Transfer Beach in Ladysmith was great on nice days. Would definitely recommend to friends and family

This truly was a home away from home. The suite was beautiful and had an amazing view of the water. There was lot's for us to do, walking around the grounds, onto the beach, playing games. We loved every minute of our vacation and we were sad to see it end. We will be back next year and we know where we will be staying. Thank you for everything.

Inn of The Sea is an oasis for a peaceful and relaxing time on Vancouver Island. So accessible to many attractions on the east side of the island - we had an amazing stay. The condo was impeccably appointed to meet all of our needs and a breathtaking view to boot!

We had a wonderful time at Peggy Yelland's condo at Inn of the Sea on the eastern shore of Vancouver Island! The unit is very well appointed and comfortable with a great ocean view from the living room and decks and a lot of flexibility to add bedrooms depending the number in your party. The pool area is perfectly sited over the beach with great views and it was fun to walk along the water looking at crabs, sea stars and jelly fish! Peggy was very accommodating and easy to work with-we highly recommend her!

We had the best family vacation ever at the Inn of the Sea Resort on Vancouver Island, when we stayed for 2 weeks this past august. The rental unit we booked(upper and lower levels) was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The photos you see on the Yelland's website portray the unit perfectly. It contained everything we needed for our family of 5 (which include our daughters who are 9, 7 and 2). It was stocked with things such as tennis rackets, beach towels, Dvds, books, barbeque, toys for our toddler, games and puzzles for the family, and everything we needed to cook with. We loved the fact that we were able to do laundry right in our suite while a lot of other tenants had to use communal laundry facilities. The air conditioning unit was also a treat on the hot days. Our family used the pool every day we were there, even the rainy days. It was a perfect temperature (heated) and although quite often busy, we were always able to get a lounge chair within minutes of arrival. We also used the tennis courts and playground frequently and we were very happy with them. As far as location goes, it is at least 15 minutes to the city of Nanaimo, so keep that in mind if you are looking for more entertainment in a city. We originally chose this place as we wanted to travel around a bit. We loved that it was easy to get to Victoria (which we visited for a day), Nanaimo, and Ladysmith. We also headed north of Nanaimo to the Parksville area. At the end of the travel days it was nice to come back to a quiet resort. The unit is an end unit in the back and it is extremely quiet, which we loved. Peggy and Doug were available when we needed to contact them for one issue and very approachable and easy to work with when booking. Perfect location + perfect rental = perfect vacation!

Our stay at the Inn of the Sea was fabulous. The suite is very beautiful, comfortable, and feels very much like home with everything anyone may need. The area is peaceful and gorgeous - exactly what we needed.

How do damage deposits work?
