We stayed in Ginny's room, 1306 at the Hanalei Bay Resort for a week. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. The location was convenient to the front desk and pool/hot tub at the resort. The beach was just a 5 minute walk away and the views were stunning, especially at sunset. The room had all of the amentieis you would need when vacationing. There was a coffee maker, hot plates, dishes, blender, mini fridge, ect. The grounds at the resort are well kept and it's location on the island is perfect. We will definitely be back!
“Amazing View, Lovely Studio”
My husband and I rented from Ginny's condo for 5 days in September, an ideal time to visit. The condo was well supplied and the bed and bedding ultra comfy and high end. It's worth walking up a few extra steps to the top floor for the amazing view and vaulted ceilings. Great A/C and ceiling fan which can be controlled by remote when they are needed. The unit is one of the most conveniently located. Close to parking and laundry room, close to reception and close to the beautiful main swimming pool. We would have coffee on the lanai daily and often saw spot red-crested cardinals. Lovely stay, all the way around. Ginny is very easy to communicate with and very responsive.
“Awesome condo with a great view”
We really enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean, comfortable and had a lot of great touches. The view from the room is incredible! The king size bed was very comfortable and I love the vaulted ceiling. I would definitely recommend staying in #1306!
“A Slice of Paradise”
This place exceeded our expectations! The view is incredible, being by the parking lot is very helpful so you do not need a golf cart to get belongings and groceries to condo. It was not too big and not too small for us, just right. The grounds are wonderful, pool amazing. Has good beach and a trail that leads left over the the pier where river comes in and many surf. The kitchen had plenty to cook with, outfitted well. You can rent boogie boards and snorkeling stuff. The concierges service is wonderful! The island is small so nothing is far away. Eat at the Dolphin in Hannalei Bay and Kauai Pasta in Kapa. We loved Kauai and this was an excellent place which had the resort amenities at a reasonable price!
“Superlatives best describe the view”
1. Greeting! Personally welcomed by host, & shown the "ropes" of the Resort, even at 9 p.m. after our long flight from the mainland. Flowers in our freshly cleaned room, added to the Kaua'i feeling. 2. Location! The Resort is close-by the "best" golf course, a lovely walk to Hanalei Bay, & and a short drive to excellent locals-type restaurants, or to a premium Hotel Restaurant. The Flat is up a really easy two flights of stairs, adjacent to the car-park area; and the Flat's Lanai offers a charming and varying view of the Pool areas and the magnificent surrounding mountains. 3. Opportunities! This side of Kaua'i has several towns, dozens of beaches, golf courses, tennis courts, a calm and wide river, and many scenic overlooks. We selected some breakfast foods from the nearby well-stocked grocery, and also elected to dine at several locations on the Island. 4. Character! Staff at the resort was amiable; and well expressed the aloha spirit! Even folks whom we asked for special driving directions were oh so friendly and warm. The Resort itself, has that old-fashioned tropical paradise nature, which is very appealing and lovely. The furnishings in our room were light, colorful, cheerful and quite sufficient for any ideas which arose. And! and King size bed, too! 5. Everyday aloha! The word we commonly use comes from two Hawaiian words and means something like "facing" or "being in" the breath. As if each moment is of true and lasting depth and beauty. This vacation place revealed a peaceful week of "living in the breath"
“Great Condo, fabulous vacation!”
Hi Ginny, We had the best vacation in Kauai a few weeks ago! We loved staying in Princeville, and your condo (1306) was perfect for us! It was lovely, extremely comfortable, and well appointed- everything we needed! Oh- and what an awesome view!! We had breakfast and coffee out on the lanai every morning. Can't beat it! We loved that it was so close to the pool and the parking lot. It was really nice to return back to the resort after a day of hiking or site seeing and not have trek across the whole resort to our condo. We also loved that we could just walk (or hitch a golf card ride!) to the beach- it doesn't seem like there are many resorts in Princeville with beach access, so that was a real plus. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in the Princeville area, and we would highly recommend the Princeville area to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Kauai! :) Hope to return soon!
“A Wonderful First Time in Kauai and HBR!”
My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our first time in Kauai (and Hawaii) and staying at HBR first helped create that magical experience. I must point out that I really appreciated their taste in furniture - not cheesy at all but very classy, very beachy and most of all, comfortable. While initially, I wanted to stray away from resorts and have an off the beaten path experience all the way - I ended up appreciating what Hanalei Bay Resort had to offer: free golf cart rides down to the beach and back, the nice saltwater pool that we could dip in after a day of adventure, and the free cups of coffee at the lobby which I had easy access to thanks to the close proximity of the unit. Having these little luxuries after a day of hiking and other off the beaten path activities was icing to the cake. The beauty of the north shore is unbelievable, and to have a piece of that beauty from the lanai every morning is priceless and breathtaking. Morning coffee while looking at the bay and the mountains was unreal and unforgettable. We moved to the South Shore for the last leg of the trip and checked in at the Grand Hyatt with an ocean view room. As grateful as I am to be able to experience the wonderful Hyatt, it was that majestic view of the mountain and Hanalei Bay at the lanai of #1306 that best sums up our trip to Kauai.
A great place to stay in Princeville. Lovely staff and great location make for a relaxing holiday feel straight up. This apartment has all you require to help your trip with a kitchenette and fridge and large bathroom. The view is stunning from the balcony and from the whole room. Easy driving down to nearby Hanalai Bay. Highly recommended.
“Relaxation and adventure!”
This condo was excellent! The view from the patio, and even straight from the bed, is world class. The beautiful gardens and landscaping at Hanalei Bay Resort were tropical perfection. Tons of beautiful flowers and birds right outside your window. The pool is gorgeous, but I preferred going down to the beach. There is great snorkeling down at the beach, and snagging a delicious cocktail at the St. Regis is so fun. Seriously, their cocktails are amazing, pricey, but amazing. Staying here was so very comfortable and easy. The kitchenette had all the necessary items and appliances. The bed was so comfortable! The condo owners clearly know how to hit the beach, as the closets were stocked with 2 beach chairs, cooler, beach umbrella sand toys for kids. So thoughtful. It was my first trip to Princeville. I loved how close we were to all kinds of adventurous activities, beautiful beaches and conveniences. I walked to Queens Bath. Hideaways beach is also walkable. We did the Princeville Ranch zip lining and had a blast. We were a short drive from the epic beaches on the other side of Hanalei, and the Kalulau trail. Eating in Hanalei was awesome. I wish I would have been able to eat more meals each day so that I could have checked out more places. Even with all the great options of things to do, there was one day on our trip when it poured down rain. I took advantage of the lanai, and lounged all day reading and enjoying the view. So in summary, it was a beautiful, comfortable, convenient, perfectly located condo. I can't wait to come back!
“An awesome Condo in Princeville - A room with a view!”
My boyfriend and I arrived in Kauai on March 1st. It was both of our first trip to Hawaii and we did not know what to expect. We were greeted by very friendly staff and an easy check in. The condo was spacious with a lovely vaulted ceiling and a great bed!! The bathroom was very spacious for two. The big surprise came the next morning when we awoke to a gorgeous view outside of our lanai! We could see the pool and just beyond - Hanalei Bay. Gorgeous!!! And a great spot for morning coffee. We loved the location of the condo as it is in the middle of the North Shore attractions. We would defiantly recommend the condo to others. A great pool and hot tub, and a short walk to the beach :)
