“Perfect Condo! Spacious, Clean, Great Views & Short walk to beaches”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2017

This was a perfect condo for my wife and I! Spacious, Clean, Great Views & Short walk to beaches. We stayed here for 5 nights in mid April and loved it! Our friends stayed in a big beachfront resort in Cabo and we all spent time at both places and we all preferred this area of Costa Azul. The condo was very clean, nice spacious kitchen with an island, bedroom, outdoor patio with seating, and living room with dining table. It had tv and an air conditioning as well, but we didn't use either because there weer so many great things to do! My friend and I surf so we were so excited to be able to walk over to Costa Azul Surf Shop, get boards, and walk down to surf that was really good. And, the beaches were wonderful! At San Jose Del Cabo, where this condo is, the beaches are wide and you can walk or run for miles! Where our friends were, by the marina in Cabo, about a 20 minute drive or 40 minute public bus ride ($2.50 each way), the beaches were narrow. For swimming in the ocean, you want to go by where the surfing beaches. The neighbors were nice and the property manager made everything very easy for us. Wifi worked well & we also enjoyed relaxing by the pool after hitting the beach, and blending up some great daquiris and margaritas!

“most relaxing vacation”

Super comfortable condo with everything we needed, decorated in a nice Mexican flavor, with a million dollar view of the ocean. After a few days, we felt like at home. Within a walking distance to the Mega store, restaurants, down the hill to the bus stop to take us to San Jose or San Lucas, across the street from the beach where you could walk for ever or almost... It was our third visit to Los Cabos and we loved the condo life (in hotels before). In fact, I am going back to Costa azul with my sister in March, in the condo next door from where we were in December. The only not so perfect thing is a little bit of noise from the road down the hill but we got used to it. Los Cabos is a very safe place with very pleasant people and we will go back again for sure. We love it. And, there is a lot of things to do!

“"A View from the Hill"”

Cozy one bedroom condominium atop a cactus-filled hillside - a must stay for a relaxing vacation. Perfect for those wanting to experience a home away from home atmosphere in a quiet small condo community. Be prepared to walk the steep driveway or rent a car to make your commute to the grocery store and the quaint townsite easier. Either way, the beach is only 5 minutes away and it is stunning! Quiet, clean and you can walk for hours... The property had all the basics and was easy to settle into for a week. The bed was small but comfortable; the condo had a full satellite package and wi-fi for your convenience. The road noise was unexpected, but you get used to it after a few days. The people who own and reside part-time on the property are second to none; always willing to help and so welcoming. Communication and coordination of services from Ms. Shona and the property owner were outstanding. We couldn't ask for two kinder people to liase with long-distance and while visiting!

Response from the owner Thank you Tired Teacher for your kind words. We all look forward to seeing you again! Take care. Shona

“for those who really want a healing sojourn!”

hola fellow travelers. i had a most lovely time at costa azul, #6. i am a solo lady who doesn't rent a car, usually, and had no prob. dealing with the location. mind you, i am from san francisco and walk a lot, but the only hill is the incline to your lovely quiet, quiet abode that overlooks one of the most gorgeous body of water i have seen. here are some points: the pad is simple, clean, well equipped and easy. it isn't fancy, hyper modern or uptight. it is, done in mexican style with very comfortable, for me, furniture. mind you, i am one of these folk who actually hang out where they stay. the bed is superb. the sweet pool very nice. i left the sliders open all day and night and let the cortez air put me to sleep and keep me 'clean'. the neighbors are gracious and very, very helpful. the local surfers where sweet. zippers on the beach is comfortable and friendly. it s all about drinks, Big Tony the owner is a gem, and comfortable chill; the food is standard stick to the ribs affair. no expectations and no reason not to have a snackie there either. if you want an amazing meal and vibe, go to 7 seas at cabosurf hotel; a right at the bottom of the drive way, a quarter (15min) walk down hwy 1. cross under the overpass to beach side and walk against traffic. it sounds wild , but it is normal and easy. just stay to the left. or you can take a bus. again. take alittle risk. the beach there and, around the corner to the right at low tide are over the top gorgeous, and easy to swim most of the time. lastly, i travel here to chilll out, trader dicks is to the left of the drive way, a 5 min walk. you get used to crossing the crazy hwy 1. there you can get good vino, and cerveza. the resturant next door is good! and head back. again, if you want to really get down and be local you can do it here. come with and open heart, good easy shoes, not alot of techno jazz and let the surf, the air, the flora and fauna, and the most adorable pad love you up! revzoe inman

Response from the owner Thank you Zoe for the helpful tips! Have a great summer and remember us when you wish for another respite! Take care Shona

“Leaving was very difficult.”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2013

We were so at home and comfortable. We had all the amenities of home and then some. The view was awesome, we were close to our favorite store, Mega, the beach, the pool was right below, the people there were fun and friendly, the TV was terrific as we had incredible music channels, French and all the us stations we wanted. I would love to own this place! I could stay forever.

Response from the owner We thank you for your review and look forward to seeing you again. Perhaps you will come again and not leave ..... like so many of us!! Regards, Shona in sunny San Jose del Cabo

“Clean, quiet and awesome views!!!”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2013

We really enjoyed our stay here. Shona, the property manager had the condo spotless for us. We had a welcome bottle of wine waiting for us as were some refreshments in the fridge. My wife and I really loved having breakfast out on the deck watching the whales and stingrays playing in the water. The beach is amazing and Uncrowded as you can see by the picture I took. Bus service right outside the complex, can take us either to el centro in San Jose del Cabo or will deliver us right to the center of Cabo San Lucas, all for 20 pesos. There are some great restaurants within walking distance. Zippers on the beach is a great place for lunch! The complex has only 16 units and we met a couple of the owners and they were very friendly. This is not a party condo, it is a nice quiet place to stay for couples or single people to enjoy. We loved it!!!

Response from the owner Thank you for your review and pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again in sunny San Jose del Cabo!
