We had a party of 5 going to Rome for my parents 40th anniversary. I was hesitant to rent an apartment, but it turned out to be the best decision. Even before arrival, the host, Filippo organized a taxi for our group. Once we got to the apartment, tired from the trip, he walked us through the amenities and provided an area map of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, etc. His recommendation of getting the bucatini alla amatriciana at Vecchia Roma was excellent. Best meal I had in Rome and the restaurant was a great place for atmosphere (probably wise to make reservations for anything larger than a party of 2 though). You are within 5 minutes to a Metro station - Vittoria Emmanuelle, a 15 minute walk to the Colloseum and Forum areas, and about a 30 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Panthenon or the Spanish steps. We pretty much alternated between walking and taking he Metro all week. As for the apartment, it was clean and adequate. For americans, the shower takes a bit of getting used to because of the shape of the tub and the apartment won't look as stylish as the pictures, but you'll have a working kitchen, clean living space, toilet paper and a central location to tour the city. also, the beds are comfortable. My personal recommendations in the area are Panella for breakfast/coffee and Vecchia Roma for dinner. We went to the market near the closeby Termini Station to get some fruit, cheese and olives to stock the fridge, but I recommend the open market in Testacchio instead. Overall a great trip and Filippo was an awesome host! I texted him the day prior to leaving and he arranged a taxi back to the airport. Very responsive and friendly!
“Spacy and cozy stay, good location, helpful owner!”
We stayed at apartment #508 at 44 Ferruccio from april 25 to May 3. We enjoyed staying in Rome in this apartment very much. We are very thankful to Filippo, the owner of the apartment. He provided us with all the necessary details for our happy staying: nearest supermarkets, restaurants, pizza and so on. He also ordered taxi for our departure. Thank you, Filippo! The apart is spacy, well eguipped and has a cozy balcony. It's conveniently located in a safe area and it's 10-15 minutes walk to Colosseo and 2 minutes walk to the nearest metro station Vittorio Emanuele. It took us minutes to get to any place of interest in Rome. It's also nice just to walk from the apartment to downtown, it takes time but it's worth it. We are missing Rome and our home in Rome!
“Appartement bien situé pour les visites de la ville”
Appartement lumineux, spacieux et confortable. Accueil très chaleureux. Cette appartement est dans un quartier calme, mais proche des commerces et du metro. Dommage pour les alarmes des voitures dans la nuit romaine!
The 5 of us really enjoyed the apartment! It was large by European standards with two baths! The host did a great job of sharing maps, suggestions for restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops. He also took the time to answer any questions we had about the apartment or area. He kindly arranged for our transportation to and from the airport too!
“Comfortable, convenient, and cordial!”
The owner of the apartment, Filippo, was great. He was there on our arrival. He toured us around the apartment explaining everything to us. He pointed out local restaurants, shops, markets, etc. on a map that he provided for us. He responded promptly to any questions we had during out stay. The apartment is spacious with 2 big bedrooms, and a third "sitting room" that could easily be made into a 3rd bedroom. The kitchen was functional and did everything we needed. The apartment is convenient to public transportation and on a quiet street.
“Very nice place”
Very nice big apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (it's so comfortable when there are many people in apartment). It's located near an undergroung station and not far from the center and Termini. I can recommend this place to families with children or friends. An apartment in Rome is more romantic, cosy and cheaper than any hotel.
“Very good and economy solution for family or friends”
It is an old appartment but it is also renovated in modern design. We were three couples and it was very comfortable. The living room can change to a third room. There is extra small office room with PC, printer and free internet. The appartment has everything you need. Very close to metro station and ten minutes walk from colosseo or Termini Station (central station. Very good solution if you don' t want to spend a lot of money for stay.
You cannot in any way go wrong with this apt. The owner was there to greet us when we got in and he is absolutly wonderful, he thought of everything. This apt is so much bigger than the pictures would lead you to believe. There is also a wonderful balcony off the computer room. There is absolutly nothing better than sitting on a balcony in the morning watching Rome wake up. The Metro is literally right around the corner and that made life so much easier for the six days we were there. The showers are narrow and I would recommend the one next to the pink room over the bathroom in the hallway. My husband and I were traveling with a friend through Italy and this apt was wonderful for keeping us all out of eachother's space.
