This was our 3rd stay at the Appalachian and it was perfect as always! The cabin is clean, quiet, and stocked with basic supplies. Robin is always a pleasure to work with!
“Super clean, well thought out, detailed, relaxed, set apart, and”
I love this place and booked a second set of days before I unpacked my bags on the first trip. Brought my wife (complete with the white-glove test) and she immediately fell in love with it too. I hope this place makes a million dollars and stays in business strictly because I want to keep bringing my wife/family back for many years to come. I felt like every detail was thought of every care was taken to make sure we were comfortable and didn't have to lift a finger. I have stayed all over the country under every type of roof imaginable and this cabin is by far the top of the list for us as far as a total package. Very pleased.
“Wonderful place to stay”
Robin was a great host, she had a lemon pound cake awaiting our arrival, and the cabin was decorated for Christmas. The cabin was very roomy, oversized fireplace with furnished wood was nice. Large tub in the master bath, and the hot tub outside was nice. If you like quiet this is a great place.
“The perfect get-a-way!”
This is our 2nd year at the "Appalachian" and we have already booked our 3rd week visit for Sept. 2013. Love the privacy of the cabin and location on the "quiet side of the mountain". For those that want more action, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg are just a short drive away. We spend our days hiking the Smoky Mountains and then retreat to the beautiful and tastily furnished cabin. The highlight for us is to soak our tired muscles in the private outdoor jacuzzi. We also enjoy the free WiFi to keep in touch with our family. We can't think of an additional amenity that should be added...this cabin has it all!!
“Amazing mountain retreat with all the modern comforts.”
We have satyed in the appalachian for seven nights, with our two boys. The cabin is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and very well equipped. We even had a full size washer and dryer, plenty of games for the kids and Dvd's for both kids and adults. It is close to everything you might want to see in the Smokey Mountain National Park and area; but it is tucked away just enough that you can really enjoy your mountain getaway. Robin is great, and very responsive with whatever you need. It was truly our home away from home for a week. It was hard to leave, and we hope to return one day!
We rent a cabin every summer and this was the cleaniest and best equiped cabin we've ever had. Peace and tanquility surround you, yet you're close enough to get to cilivation.
Robin went out of her way to ensure we had the most awesome and relaxing experience during our stay. I could not of had a more positive experience. Tammie Wolf
“Relaxing in Townsend”
I found this cabin by searching on the internet. The website was very inviting and informative. Once reserving the cabin, I received our rental agreement very quickly and was given great details about the cabin. We told Robin that we would be arriving after dark...and guess what? She left the porch lights on for us! The cabin was very very clean and well decorated. The hot tub was in perfect condition as was the jacuzzi. After a 22 mile run in Cades Cove, these were welcome treats! The location of the cabin was only about 1 mile or so from the main road. The tall pines surrounding the cabin made you feel very secluded even though there was a cabin directly across the street. Since this cabin was not located in one of those large cabin communities, it was very private. We loved the location, the decor, the cleanliness and overall experience. We will certainly come back and will recommend to family and friends. Robin even called us on Saturday to make sure things were going well. Now that's service. The only complaint we had at all is that we had to leave!!!
“The best girls' get-away trip!”
Robin's cabins have always been top notch, but this one was by far my favorite. My BFF and I came to Townsend for a Girls' Weekend, and this was just what the doctor ordered! The cabin was stocked with chick flicks! We were able to relax in the living room and just watch movies and read. The hot tub and fireplace were perfect and really the cherry on top of the sundae! I live in the city and have become use to hearing city noises. I was in awe of only hearing silence and nature at this cabin. It was like no one else was around! The kitchen was stocked beautifully. We both love to cook and had every cooking utensil we needed! I can't say enough about Townsend, the appalachian Cabin or Robin!
“Absolutely wonderful, relaxing getaway!”
The cabin is beautiful and the location is breathtaking. It was very clean and nothing like the cookie-cutter cabins we previously stayed in in the Gatlinburg area. It was very private, well stocked with supplies and conveniently located. We enjoyed our visit so much that we have booked our next getaway to the cabin for October 2011.
