“Wonderful Stay in Loggos”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2014

Loggos is a beautiful town and Nikos Apartment was perfect for us. Right in the middle of everything but never at all noisy. Apartment is clean, has good air-conditioning and a lovely shared outdoor area where we sat and had local greek wine in the evenings! Also very well priced. Spyros and his mother Soula were very hospitable and friendly and certainly made our stay that little bit more special. We felt like we were a part of the community within hours. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

I and my family (my wife and 2 daughters 10 and 14 years old) spent 1 week at Nikos apartment in the small village of Logos. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Large enough and provided of air conditioning. Location is pretty central within the town but the place was not noisy. We appreciated the cleanliness and the courtesy of the owners, we loved the taverna just down the road and we remember with nostalgia the beautiful balcony with the pink bouganville shadowing us from the sun in the lazy afternoon. Logos is a hidden gem quite and colorful in the wonderful isle of Paxos, there are several beautiful beaches nearby often empty with turquoise see water. We loved our stay and the apartment was a great base to explore the area walking around or using the boat that was kindly available through the landlord. Thank you Spiros, Nikos and Soula for welcoming us and letting us feeling at home.

“In amongst it!”

Clean, basic flat in the centre of Loggos. Convenient for everything. As Loggos is quiet and pretty, this is a great location. Heaven for kids as it is very safe for them to explore and play around the village.

“Good central location in Loggos”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

We very much enjoyed our stay in the rear of the 2 apartments in Loggos, the smallest and quietest of the Paxos villages. The apartment was well equipped and served us well as a base from which to enjoy the locality, swimming from the several beaches in the area and enjoying the restaurants, cafés and bars in the village, from where one can walk up into the hills. Apart from the above, the village has a bakery, several supermarkets, some nice gift shops and a small art gallery. An added bonus was the annual autumn Paxos Music Festival, a series of classical music concerts which take place in the Old Schoolhouse in august/September. Our landlady was friendly and helpful and her family run Tolis' Grill, a restaurant that we ate well at on a number of occasions. We would recommend the apartment to those who would wish for a cheap yet comfortable stay on the island.

“Felt like home... in a wonderful little fishing village!”

We stayed in Nikos apartment with another couple of friends. The rooms were basic and tidy, small balcony but with a nice view on village everyday life. Spyros and his mum Soula were very kind and friendly. Very close to tavernas, cafès, shops and some lovely beaches. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday go to Loggos, it's the smallest and quieter place on Paxos. Also we recommend Pratigos Taverna, on the road to Gaios, it is a pleasant walk from Loggos, food, staff and view are extraordinary!

“Great location”

We had a fantastic time in Loggos. Agree with previous comments, apartment is cheap and cheerful, location is excellent and owners are wonderful. Would recommend for families.

“Right in the heart of the village, we felt like a local.”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2013

The apartment was perfectly located for being completely immersed in village life, the living area is a little small but in the height of the season who wants to spend much time inside anyway? The ceiling height gives the impression of space and the bedrooms were light and airy. We stayed in the front apartment which is definitely the better situated to watch the world go by. We were lucky that there was no one staying in the second apartment so we had the shared terrace to ourselves. It would be ideal for a family or friends travelling together though. The comment in the previous review is spot on though, the apartments are sandwiched between the owners living accommodation which is definitely a plus as Sula is lovely and very helpful, but you really can hear every cough and snore from above! We got used to it though and it wasn't any problem in the end. We loved our stay and the family are great, go to Grill Tolis, one of the son's taverna, but book first if you can!

“Between "average" and "very good"”

Reviewed 22 May 2012

Clean and nice ap. All necessary facilities are present, but no luxury stuff (TV, Internet etc.). Located at a road, which is - especially on weekends - busy and loud due to social life (playing children, pimped motobikes - Greek at its best!) However, this is the "price" you have to pay when booking in such a small and intimate village as Loggos is. If you cannot bear it, go to an ai-hotel... There is only one minus-point to mention: in the storey above the ap there are private rooms of the family and because of the wooden ceiling you here every step, every pushed-back chair, every cough. Maybe you use ear-plugs or have one or two ouzos more in the taverna. Taverna: never, never had better meals than in Loggos!!This is new "Greek Couisine" of young and ambitious cooks. To sum up: the aps are recommendable, the owners are prototypes of the famous Greek hospitality. The village is tiny, cosy, like out of a picture book. People, come to Greece. Don´t worry about any things you have heard or read. The islands are as beautiful, safe and friendly as ever!

Response from the owner Hi, sorry about the noise above the apt you have stayed! I hope this was not too much and thanks for the feedback, I will tell my dad who was clearing up some stuff there..I hope you will come again, next time, try my stone cottages by the beach. Thanks and see you soon, Spiros and family

“Central but quiet accommodation in an unspoiled village.”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2011

The apartment Loggos is everyone's idea of what an unspoiled Greek fishing village and harbour should look like. Don't go if you are looking for night clubs and beach parties but, if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday look no further. The apartment is well placed, set back in a quiet side street but only about 100 metres from the harbour and, at most, two or three minutes' walk from the tavernas and supermarkets (nowhere is really more than 3 minutes' walk away anyway - this includes the village beach). Two other beaches are five and ten minutes' walk away, one with a taverna set back amongst the olives, the other quiet and completely undeveloped.
