“Birthday Celebrations”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2015

We had a lovely 5 night stay in the Balinese Beach House enjoyed the pool and beautiful view the most. The Saturday night we had a BBQ out on the back Deck with extended family which was great. Even though the house isn't set up for small children we managed quite well with 3 little ones at times, the little reading nook was very sweet. Wifi great as my son had to catch up with clients overseas. The walk through the National Park to the beach is great, even I managed the shorter walk. Thanks Rae for a wonderful holiday. The only suggestion I'd have would be more fans in the kitchen area or airconditioning upstairs as gets very warm. Best Wishes

Response from the owner We always love reading that the Balinese has been a great space for extended family - and it really is 'experienced' in providing great birthday celebrations - particularly those decade celebrations. Thank you for your helpful suggestion to add more fans to the upstairs area - 3 more now added. Being 'subtropicals' it is easy to forget that guests from cooler parts can feel quite warm in our climate. With so many fans now in place the 8 sets of French doors opening up the living pavilion to the decks on all sides allow the sea breezes to circulate so well.

“Relaxing”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2014

The house had plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. Almost everything you would need is already in the house. The views from the verandahs were gorgeous and you can easily watch the ocean from the house. The process was very easy to secure a booking and the owner is very responsive to your needs. We would highly recommend to anyone needing a holiday rental.

Response from the owner When guests travel from overseas to stay we always are hoping that their holiday will be special. So pleased your stay was so comfortable and that the Balinese gave you a great space to enjoy meeting up with family. Thank you for being such gracious guests and sharing your experience.

“Relaxing and Luxurious”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2014

It was very welcoming at the Balinese beach house, nothing was forgotten especially in the kitchen and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing ambiance of the furniture, luxurious bedding, modern bathrooms and gorgeous ocean views on the great deck. We ate well, slept well and lived very well, enjoyed beach walks and each other's company with many nooks to lounge around. An amazing experience.

Response from the owner It was great to read that your holiday was so good and that the Balinese kitchen worked well for you too. Thank you so much for sharing. We do try to ensure that if guests want to be serious cooks they will find in the kitchen what they need to create. And lovely to know that you slept so comfortably and enjoyed just being at the house. A combination of the sea air and our 'secret recipe' to ensure once through those golden entry Bali doors it's impossible not to succumb completely to relaxation. Which makes for a great vacation!

“Amazing winter escape in very private, peaceful location with beautiful ocean views”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2014

We knew from the website to expect something special at the Balinese as we have stayed previously at Rae's other property BEACH HOUSE NOOSA. We suspected we were in for a treat but nothing quite prepared us for the relaxing, beautiful atmosphere of the Balinese with its antique furniture, hand woven rugs and beautiful hanging lamps. It felt like we had woken up in Bali. We loved the spaciousness, the expansive ocean views all the way down the coast, the amazing alfresco BBQ deck shaded by Pandanus. Even though it was midwinter the sun was shining throughout our stay and we spent time relaxing around the pool on the sun lounges in the lovely tropical garden surrounds. This vacation has made great memories for our family and everyone is looking forward to our next stay!

Response from the owner Thank you for sharing your experience at the Balinese. We always love knowing that our guests have had a great stay and enjoyed the special atmosphere of the house. And so happy to know that you are going to join our returning guests - we look forward to your next stay!

“Blissful retreat - a real "holiday haven"”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2013

We came to Noosa with the intention of totally relaxing for 5 days and the Balinese Beach House proved to be the perfect place to do that. Even my husband, who finds it very hard to switch off and admitted beforehand that he wasn't really sure he'd cope with 5 days of "nothing", allowed the house to work its magic on him. The house is beautifully decorated with trinkets all around. The layout on the main living floor really works, with day beds and couches aplenty giving you a totally private space to chill even if there are other people around. The kitchen is well equipped with a huge fridge and full stove. The little eating area outside the kitchen is a lovely spot to eat breakfast - mind you sitting on the wraparound balcony clutching a coffee is also a great way to start the day. The house really light and airy, you can open all the doors to the balcony and this really does bring the breeze into the house and keep it cool. We were lucky enough to be blessed with very warm temperatures and the house stayed lovely and cool. Air con in the bedrooms helps at night. There was plenty of storage in the bedrooms and bathrooms, and there is a washing machine and lines outside. Also really good is that all Tv's have Foxtel and the wifi works throughout the house. The pool is a great addition and I took full advantage of the loungers and also the little day bed. Bliss! The owner, Rae, is delightful and does everything she can to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Thanks for everything Rae! The suburb of Sunshine Beach is lovely and has some good cafes and restaurants, and we went to Hastings Street one night which is a short drive away. I am so glad we found this tranquil haven and if we come to Noosa again we will definitely stay here again.

Response from the owner Thank you for sharing such a comprehensive review of the Balinese. I responded privately to you at the time but should have done so online. So thank you again and 12 months later I am sharing that the Balinese now has all new bathrooms, a collection of antique Dutch / Indonesian hanging lamps in the living pavilion and a wonderful new water feature in the garden. And one of the bedrooms has been completely made over with beautiful carved cupboards for clothing instead of builtins. Lots of other subtle changes too I imagine as it is always a work in progress. The Balinese just gets more exotic!

“A Peaceful restoring retreat”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

The Balinese Beach House was as described, and exactly what we needed for our little escape. The house has a tranquility about it and you immediately feel right at home. I don't believe I have ever been to a vacation rental as thoroughly prepared and loved by the owner as this one, everything we needed was available with attention to detail and care shown through out. Did not want to leave. While lounging on the day bed upstairs I spotted a humpback whale frolicking in the waters, a real highlight for all of us. Thank you Rae for making this delightful house available for others to enjoy.

Response from the owner What a treat to see a humpback from the house when you least expected it! We always want our guests to experience this sight - nature at its best! The season runs from June to November so the whales are still travelling north now, but after calving watching the family groups pass by enroute to the Arctic is rather special. And thank you Bianca for 'loving' the Balinese just like we do...

“Completely relaxing and comfortable stay in Noosa”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2013

As a teenager, I stayed with my family at the Balinese Beach House for a week on holidays. The house was really nicely decorated, and the grand amount of day beds and couches to lay on was really nice, there was always somewhere pleasant to rest! The house was really big, light and airy, and even in the middle of winter it was warm, with heaters available if needed. The bedrooms had big and comfortable beds and good storage areas for a longer stay. The bathroom was also really nice, and the shelves were very convenient. The bathroom on the middle floor was in a very appropriate place, so you didn't have to rush down. The TV in the lounge room had Foxtel and the wi-fi worked in all corners of the house (a must have for a teenager!). The TV also had a blu-ray player so you could bring your own or go down to the local video rental. The Ipod dock was also a great addition, so if you wanted to play your music during meals or to just chill out to. I was sad that because of the rain and cooler temperatures we were not able to use the pool! In total, the house was very pleasant and easy to stay in, it was a great place to stay in the whole day relaxing, or even if you spent the whole day out. It was really well equipped for a teenager on holidays! I definitely would recommend the house, it was really great to stay at, I felt right at home!

Response from the owner Thank you Milla for taking the time to review your stay. To have a teenager's experience and enjoyment of holidaying at the Balinese is a first and helps us focus on what our younger guests look for on their holiday 'wish list'. And so pleased you enjoyed the Foxtel, WiFi, blu-ray, and Ipod dock and felt so 'at home'!

“Great relaxing family beachside holiday.”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2013

We spent a lovely 6 days in Rae's picturesque beach house. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the personal touch Rae, thank you. All in all a great location with a young family, easy access to the beach and a very short drive to Hastings street. Everyone was catered for including the kids and although the wrong time of year for the pool, the views on the relaxing deck more than made up for it. The facilities are overall very good and a very clean house. We would definitely recommend the house to anyone wanting either a long or short break away from the rat race.

Response from the owner I really do get so much pleasure from knowing the Balinese is being 'loved' by other families too. It keeps me wanting to think of new ways to make the house more fun to stay! Thank you so much for your feedback Kerri.

“Superb Weekender”

We were in Noosa for the International Food and Wine Show as presenters. We arrived in Noosa at 7pm and met the security guard at Richardson and Wrench in Hastings Street to get key's. The Balinese Beach house is located at Sunshine Beach with views of the ocean. Comfortably sleeps 6 people with 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Good cooking amenities + bbq and foxtel for the Rugby. 5-10 minutes walk and you are on-the-beach or the Sunshine Beach Surf Club or for that matter XO Restaurant and Cellars. Highly recommended.

Response from the owner Great knowing you enjoyed the Balinese again this year for the International Food and Wine Festival. We do appreciate you sharing your experience online Kris, and look forward to you staying again next year!

“Just Perfect !!!”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2012

My family and I have been regular guests at the Balanese Beach House for several years. It's beauty, tranquilty and ocean views are breath taking. Each year we have increased the time of our stay and still the time is to short. Christine, Stuart and Liesl+

Response from the owner One of the most pleasant things about sharing the Balinese is knowing how much you and your family and our other guests enjoy the house itself and appreciate its special atmosphere. We have recently added another beautiful handmade rug and an amazing Balinese painting that was sourced back in the 80's by a friend who said it really 'belongs' at the Balinese. And we have to agree!
