“Luxury in a stunning location!”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2013

We had a wonderful week at Casa Piloto, and have many happy memories of a special time with all the family together. The house is a real joy - huge but extremely comfortable and well-appointed, with plenty of space indoors and outdoors for us all to spend time together or apart. The pool played a huge part in our enjoyment of our stay - with our three year old grandson distraught when he had to get out occasionally to warm up in the sun! The location was brilliant for us - plenty of fantastic, interesting beaches within easy reach. The owners' guide to the region was an excellent resource, and led us to the roof of the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela - it really has to be done! Thank you Rupert and Maria, for creating such a beautiful 'home from home' and for the personal touches which really made a difference.

“Tranquility”

We loved our stay in Roos. The house was as advertised and in a fabulous location. Our daily dilema was deciding whether to go out exploring the coast and its restaurants, or to stay in and enjoy the house and its great pool area - so we always ended up doing a bit of both. Great place for a couple of families to share.

“Spacious, practical house in fabulous location”

A wonderful, big, spacious house in a stunning part of Galicia, only minutes from numerous beaches. It has a gorgeous salt water pool with stunning views; nature walks in the forests behind which the children loved. A really easy house to stay in - well equipped (including pool table, badminton court as well as cooking stuff etc). Everything worked and Rupert and Maria were a delight to deal with. Highly recommended.

“The perfect place to vacation.”

We had a wonderful visit to Galicia. We spent a week at the house and could have spent a month. The house is a beautiful place to spend time as it is very comfortable and very well equipped. It is very private, and the pool was refreshing. We also enjoyed hiking in the hills behind the house. There is so much to see in the area--Santiago, small fishing villages, and the wonderful beaches. The house is well located to all of this, and we were able to take many day trips without traveling too far. The little town that this house is in is quite interesting. The house sits above a church, and you get a sense of what it may be like to live there. It would have been perfect if the little town of Roo had a great restaurant. There are a couple that seemed okay but there is such delicious food in the area that we went to better places. Noia is a great local town where we found markets and great restaurants. The hosts, Rupert and Maria, had many suggestions both in person and in their wonderful travel guide. We would love to go back some day and recommend this area and this villa to anyone. We are a family of four and had ample room. You could easily accommodate a group twice our size. There are big open spaces where everyone can gather, but also tucked away places so everyone had privacy. If you are tempted at all by this area, you need to go. It is well worth it.

“Stunning house, location and weather and great family fun!!”

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful, unspoiled part of Spain which we visited for the first time in June 2013. Casa Piloto was stunning - spacious, cool, luxurious and elegant and had something for everyone - magnificent outdoor pool with breath taking views, full sized pool table indoors which provided hours of family fun!! Casa Piloto's close proximity to the beautiful atlantic coastline with miles of golden sandy beaches ( which were almost completely unspoiled) provided opportunities to visit a different beach each day - one more stunning than the next - our family favourite was Carnota beach . Rupert was a charming and attentive host and couldn't have been more helpful when we needed him. We have such lovely memories and had such a lovely time there that we're going back for the same week next year!!

“Beautifull holidays”

We spent a week in summer in Go Galicia Villa. Wonderfull view over galician landscape, very comfortable villa with all facilities, nice swimming pool, very kind welcome by the owner. Only point of progess: the outside table and benches should be more comfortable

“Very classy rental, wonderful villa in staggeringly beautiful lo”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2013

Beautiful views, elegant décor and incredible attention to detail. The villa is within a few miles of good restaurants and charming beaches. You can walk from the house through meandering paths in the surrounding woods. The countryside is breathtaking, the local sites are awe-inspiring and should you choose to chill in the house, there could be no better place for a barbecue or a book. Unreserved recommendation.

“Sophisticated Rustic”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2012

The villa delivered in reality the photos on the web site; not the case for several villas we have rented over the years. Dramatic interior and atrium with modern facilities was visually stunning, but entirely comfortable feeling. Excellent muti-layered landscaping, with very good mature planting made sitting out a delight, with outstanding views. As a sea-food lover, Galicia is heaven, and the local area is no exception, with many excellent restaurants within a short drive. The low prices of the food and (very good) Albarino wine made grown Londoners weep! The owners are welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Minor quibble; could do with a better BBQ set, given the first class standard of all the other facilities.

“A week in paradise!”

Having been to Spain a few times, Galicia really took us by surprise! It is a beautiful little corner of the world with magnificent views, gorgeous beaches and a charm unlike anywhere else. The house we stayed in was pure luxury - secluded enough to give us total privacy (part from the friendly neighbours who pass by occasionally and say 'ola'!) but close enough to the main road to make day trips to the beaches easy! Each room was magnificently decorated and the main room simly stunning. A beautiful garden and pool meant we spent a few days just chilling at the house and with games and a pool table, there was never a dull moment. Sitting by the pool looking out at the Galician countryside made you realise what life is all about! We'll definitley be back (if we can get a booking as it seems to be constantly booked out) and would recommend to all. Finally, thanks to the hosts, Roops and Maria, who welcomed us and pointed us in the direction of the best beaches and places to eat.

“Amazing!”

The most amazing relaxed place you could imagine, all made even better by the perfect hosts. I can't recommend it enough.
