“Wonderful home base for our Motorcyle adventures in the Smokies”
Tom and Sue were most helpful from the pre start of the trip to our leaving this beautiful mountain side cabin. Having rented several houses in the past across the US and Canada I can adamantly speak to the quality of the cabin and the helpfulness of the owners. I sent an email in January enquiring about the cabin and received a phone call back from Tom immediately. (Saturday Night)! Sue actually did some grocery shopping for our arrival as we travelled by Motorcycle's. They actually gave us a birthday cake as 2 of our group had a birthday that week! Tom dropped off a bucket and towels so we could keep the Harleys shined up... The cabin had all the amenities that were required during our week in the Valley..and all three couples were extremely impressed with the amenities and quality of the cabin. The hot tub was fabulous after a long day of riding adventures along the twists and turns of North Carolina and Tennessee great roads....all Motorcycle enthusiasts must go to Magee V. and the Smokies and see for yourself the beauty of this part of the USA. Great Restaurants are also available near by ...we enjoyed Frankie's so much we dined there twice. This was our 4th trip to MV on Motorcycles and not our last..... Regards from Canada Great Job! Gord Nancy John Kelly Pat and Rick thanks again!
“The most relaxing time in years!”
I can't say enough about my experience with the Knapko family and Creek N Woods Cabin II. From the first encounter, I knew we were going to have the getaway we had been waiting on. All the paperwork we received was prompt and organized, and the hospitality exceeded our expectations. We arrived at the cabin which was extremely clean and orderly, was given specific directions on where to find everything we needed, had fresh clean water in the hot tub jacuzzi, and we even had freshly baked cookies to enjoy. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The deck on the back of the house was awesome too and was in the perfect spot to listen to the running creek going down the mountain. We would definitely stay with Creek N Woods again!
“Cozy cabin, enough for 2 families!”
We vacation with another family every year. Kids are 14, 12, 10, & 8 years. Tom and Sue were so accommodating and even put 2 extra beds in the loft so the kids had their own "sleeping porch". The cabin location is perfect! Not far from groceries, gift shops, skiing, or the valley makes exploration enjoyable. The hot tub was a hit after skiing every day. And the fireplace warmed the entire house, helped dry our clothes and was spectacular ambiance. This was our best rental on Vrbo by far. The kids ski free program was great during the week. And the ski lodge allowed food and drink to be brought, so we packed a picnic! Overall it was a great first time for our kids to see snow and ski.
“Amazing place to stay!”
Our 3rd "Annual Stacks' Family Vacation", at Creek n' Woods, was a wonderful experience just as the past years have been. We have become so familiar with the beautiful house, many decks, babbling creek and surrounding property that it has begun to feel like our own private vacation home. Tom and Sue are fantastic. The little extras that they provide, like the discount grocery card, provides a very appreciated savings when feeding such a large family like we do. And of course we always look forward to the "Starbucks" coffee and Sue's wonderful homemade cookies. Our family has made wonderful life long memories at this house and will return for years to come to make more. Thank you, Tom and Sue, for providing such an exceptional place for our large family to be together for the holidays and feel all the comforts of home and more. The "Stacks' Family"
“Wonderful home away from home for the holidays!”
I was a little hesitant to take my 3 kids away from home over the holidays- especially Christmas! All of my worries disappeared the moment we walked into Creek 'n Woods II. Tom and Sue had done everything they could to make it perfect for a family holiday vacation. We were greeted by a beautiful Christmas tree, wonderful decorations (even the bears had Santa hats!) and fresh baked goodies. Tom and Sue took the time to show us all around and explain how everything worked. They offered suggestions on local attractions and dining. We did not need to bring a thing- all linens, cleaning supplies and dishes were provided. We loved soaking in the hot tub on cool mountain days, playing board games in front of a blazing fire and curling up with some good books (the games and books are provided in the cabin). We found that the cabins proximity to asheville, Bryson City and Cherokee was perfect for day trips to see the sights. To sum it up, we hope to stay in this cabin again! We had a wonderful time and found Tom and Sue to be very attentive owners.
“Truely a home away from home!!!”
This was our 3rd time staying with Creek'n Woods and we absolutely love these cabins!! They are immaculate clean and really nice. Cabin 2 at Creek'n Woods is one of our favorite places to stay in Maggie Valley,it has plenty of room and a beautiful fire place that turns on by flipping a switch!! The hot tub is a nice added touch and this cabin has a nice big creek that runs behind it. It is Truely a home away from home!!:)
“Relaxing, fabulous and memorable!”
We celebrated Mom's 79th birthday up there and I have to say that Tom and Sue thought of everything, including a cake! Homemade cookies and fresh flowers greeted us inside the home. The babbling brook was so relaxing to listen to we lost ourselves in our thoughts there. We loved the hot tub too! We were so relaxed and happy, we extended our stay an extra day! The property was immaculate, well maintained and had a great parking lot, which made it easy for multiple vehicles to park. I can't wait to go back...next time I want the biggest cabin so our friends can come too!
Eventhough creek 'n wood II was highly recomended by a friend( darlene white), but this was our first trip to the woods/mountain therefore We did not know what to expect, but tom & sue made us feel right at home from the begining. they took the time to show us the place, how things works! They went out of their way to baked us a jar full of chocolate cookies! We killed it in the first hour! The cabin was very clean, very well furnished, confy beds. The cabin is centrally located, nears shops, eateries, and everything else in maggie valley. It's about 20min to rafting, 15min to harrah's casino in cherokee, 20min to walmart in wayneville, and 45 min to biltmore estate in asheville which is a must when visit north carolina! It rained on the day we arrived so we decided to stay in, sat on the porch watch leaves fall of trees and listen to the water running off the rock on a creek just a few steps below the deck. It was so relaxing!! We loved it here! thanks tom& sue
“We found our Creek n Woods experience to be peaceful, personaliz”
We loved Cabin II at Creek n Woods! Tom ensured that we had a personalized birthday cake waiting for us! We got some welcoming gifts and a wonderful tour upon our arrival. Tom met us and took us right to the cabin! And because our faith is highly important to us and our lifestyle we greatly appreciated Tom facilitating our church visit in Maggie Valley. The setting of the cabin was so peaceful and a nice contrast to the humidity and busyness of our life back home. The cabin itself was cozy and replete with items necessary to function and live comfortably. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, meals outside on the sprawling porch and inside as well. The entire experience afforded us fertile grounds to create happy memories! We not only wish to return, but, are now constantly talking about how we can move to Maggie Valley!! The owners apparently understand how to run a business by focusing on excellent customer service. Tom and Sue were responsive and timely with communications throughout our travel experience. And I will say this: coming from one who has traveled and is analytical ready to critique... There are no complaints to be offered! We loved our Creek n Woods cabin II experience! I hope this review helps others to make their travel decisions in NC! :-)
“A home away from home”
A cabin at the end of a street in a secluded community. No traffic, amidst a forest, and with the sounds of a creek just outside. All the amenities of home (kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer). Plenty of space for 7-8 people to sleep comfortably. The beds are very comfortable. A wraparound porch is great for enjoying the sounds of the creek and the fresh air of the mountains. Maggie Valley is conveniently located just a short drive from the Cherokee Village/casino, and just about an hour's drive from Pigeon Forge, Biltmore Estate, and outdoor activities like rafting and ziplining. I would definitely stay again and look forward to the next visit to the Maggie Valley area.
