“An absolutely perfect vacation spot”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2017

Staying in the Casa Grande was luxurious, including fresh coffee beans ready to grind in the AM, chairs and table for outside dining, hammocks right on the beach and a lovely help staff. The beds were comfortable and it was hard to get motivated to do anything other than stay right there!

Response from the owner Thank you for your lovely review, we strive to keep TE as comfortable as possible for a memorable vacation so you'll come back again!!

“Paradise!”

Tropical Evergreens is a beautiful, clean, well managed beach house right in the middle of Soliman Bay. From the first cup of coffee in the hammocks watching the Pelicans and turtles to the last sunset paddle in from snorkeling at the reef - it never disappoints.

“A wonderful time and experience”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2016

I've stayed at various houses in Soliman Bay now 6 or 7 times, this being my second time at Tropical Evergreens. This time we stayed from May 30, 2016 till June 7th and it was just a wonderful experience. We spent 2 or 3 days just hanging around Tropical Evergreens, snorkeling, swimming, reading, sunning and just hanging out. The rest of the time was spent either on a Coba trip, in Tulum, at the Tulum ruins and eating at all the amazing restaurants all over Tulum. We loved that Oscar and Lollo's is just across the street, we ate there at least 3 times probably 4, I forget exactly. There were 4 of us total; my girlfriend and I and another couple and Tropical Evergreens was perfect for us. Soliman Bay in general is such a wonderful, semi-secluded and beautiful bay with plenty to do. I honestly can't wait to come back, which we will definitely be doing.

“Discover Tropical Evergreens!”

I am a travel agent and have made several visits to the Mexican Caribbean and just want to say how truly delightful this location is - I have visited Tulum several times but enjoyed this tucked away haven in Soliman Bay! I had clients and close friends of ours that Peg welcomed at the Casa Grande so my husband and I decided to venture out and check things out for ourselves as well! Peg by far was one of the most accomodating, gracious, insightful owners I have ever worked with - and by far her attention to detail and hospitality was also made apparent in the most authentic - gorgeous - beautifully and artfully decorated beachfront home! I didn't want to leave! The caretakers of the property were as delightful as the entire property - I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a truly authentic mexican experience - warm hospitality - delicious food just around the corner, and a great location near the Yucatan's most popular sites!

“Seaside Paradise”

We truly enjoyed our, all too brief, stay at Tropical Evergreens. The house is really comfortable and equipped very well for almost anything you could want to do. Right on the beach...and what a beach! I have traveled to Tulum many times and this was one of the very best places we have ever stayed. It was not air-conditioned but the breezes off the ocean were so cooling that it was always comfortable. Great caretakers, Vincent and Mari, were always available but never intrusive. Communication with the owner and her many helpful hints were an added bonus. All in all, we loved it and would recommend Tropical Evergreens to all our friends.

“Wonderful stay at Tropical Evergreens”

Wonderful time at Tropical Evergreens. Our second time, and this time even better. OUr kids were 7 1/2 and 9 1/2. Old enough to really enjoy the bay and what it has to offer. We stay in the Casita which offers an upstairs and downstairs complete with kitchen, 2 bathrooms and air conditioning. ( A must for the hot summer months...) Wonderful setting, kayaks for great snorkeling around the reef, peaceful, clean ( there is a couple that stays on the property and provides purified water bottles, maid service and maintenance of the whole property ). Kitchen is fully equipped. TV comes with tons of DVD's to choose from. A wonderful place to get away from the bustling busy day to day life. We will be back!!

“Slice of Paradise”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

Tropical Evergreens was truly a paradise! Peg, the owner, had resources of things to do in the area, as well as a welcome book with descriptions for all aspects of your stay at Tropical Evergreens (her book had info. on fish in the bay, restaurants, shopping, and tour guides, etc.). She was very accommodating to our group and always answered any questions I had concerning our stay right away. The Casita itself was set back behind the larger house, but still steps from beach. It was beautifully decorated with local artwork and very Spanish feeling. Downstairs featured a queen bed, TV, and kitchen, with full sized shower and sitting area. Upstairs had two twin beds and full size bath, with balcony and hammock overlooking the grounds. The caregivers Mardi and Vicente greeted is upon arrival and we even had eggs, tortillas, juice, coffee, and breakfast food provided for the first day! Mardi helped out with any questions we had during our stay, helped with bedding and use of grill and calling a taxi, and Vicente kept the grounds pristine. They were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The bay itself was so beautiful and peaceful. The sand on the beach is powdery white, with crystal clear blue/green waters. Soloman Bay has turtle grass growing about 40-50 feet from the entrance of water out, but according to Peg, a hurricane made the natural cleared pool out in front of TE. There is a wide path between the grass and the largest cleared, sandy bottomed pool in all of Soloman Bay directly in front of the house. The fish and wildlife in the area are amazing. We saw stingrays, moray eels, all types of fish, and even a turtle swimming in the bay!! The reef is quite a ways out, but it prevents the waves from coming in and knocking one over, making the waters very calm and perfect for children. You can even snorkel or kyack out a long way from shore and the water is not much more than 6-8 ft. deep. Throughout the bay, we stumbled upon some large coral (not part of the reef) and it was teeming with fish and coral, sea fans, etc. The snorkeling was the best I have ever seen!! It was truly a paradise for snorkeling, diving, etc. Most visitors we saw there were families and not too many people were on the beach the entire week. It was very quiet....definately NOT a party area. Having stayed at several all-inclusive resorts, this was our first stay at a beach home. There was NO scrambling for beach chairs, drunk or obnoxious people on the beach, etc. TE has 4 kyacks and a huge supply of life vests and snorkel vests, fins, and masks. You have a choice of 2 restaurants within walking distance.... Chamicos and inside Jashita Hotel. I could go on and on about our stay at TE. If you want a fabulous place to stay and truly RELAX, TE is the place! We have definately found our little slice of heaven and will definately be back next year.

“Wonderful stay”

Reviewed 16 Jul 2014

We rented both houses at Tropical Evergreens for a two-family vacation. It was a perfect beach house experience. The casitas were lovely, well-maintained, and full of wonderful little touches. The beach in the backyard was gorgeous. There were kayaks for our teenagers, sand toys for the little ones, and shaded hammocks for the parents! Everything was quiet and very peaceful. There's a great restaurant nearby called "Oscar y Lalo's" and the location is perfect for visiting Tulum, nearby cenotes, and the ruins of Coba (those are the things we did, I'm sure there is more as well.) The caretakers are very helpful. Overall a great and recommendable experience.

“If you need a slice of paradise, this is the place!”

Wow, this is truly, without a doubt, the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken in my life and certainly in one of the most beautiful locales. We spent many hours just laying around in hammocks or lounge chairs just watching the waves, drinking Dos Equis and eating homemade quesadillas and guacamole. How great is that! The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need and what you can't find the lovely caretakers will locate it for you. Don't be worried by the drive up to the house. It's a bumpy road and you can't tell what is waiting for you when you finally pull up to Tropical Evergreeens, but you will be thrilled when you walk in the door. Forget your troubles, come on get happy! This is the place to do it!

“Tropical Evergreens Casa Grande was my idea of heaven!”

I am so thankful I got to stay at Tropical Evergreens. I relaxed which is a miracle! It was as if time stopped for one full week. How heavenly! I would urge anyone who loves the seaside to try thus lovely place.
