“Wonderful experience”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2015

We were welcomed with open arms. A party for all the guests staying on the property gave us an immediate feeling of - wow we have chosen the right place. Fresh wonderful bakery items arrived each morning. The staff were always smiling and very helpful. This property provides a central location to visit many small villages in this region. Would certainly stay here again.

“Provence Paradise was an Excellent place to stay”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2014

Our family of four stayed here for 2 weeks in July We have 2 kids ages 10 and 13. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids loved the pool and hot tub which we used every day. Every morning we had fresh baked croissants delivered to us on our deck !! William had excellent ideas for our day trips and was always available. There is so much to see in the area! Highlights included Kayaking under the Pont du Gard, Cassis , the local "Bullfighting" (Don't worry, the bull's aren't harmed), and Les Baux. I would highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

Response from the owner Thanks for taking the time to write your comments. We enjoyed your company and were very glad you chose to stay the full two weeks, because that gave your family some welcome "breathing space" between events in your busy exploration schedule. We repeat what we said when you pulled away from our driveway: Come again and/or send us other great folks just like your family!

“Our entire Provence Paradise experience was unprecedented in its”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

The setting, design, construction, and maintenance of the Provence Paradise was extraordinary. The innkeeper, Mr. William Moore, was a charming blend of Master of Ceremonies, concierge, translator, highly erudite tour guide, counselor, and personal ombudsman. The service, including fresh warm croissants every morning, and cogent personalized support and the attention to detail given to every aspect of our stay was incomparable. Quite simply, the best experience of its kind we've ever enjoyed. Without question, the best part of the whole month was the delight of getting to know William Moore. The location is picturesque, right on the edge of St. Remy, and very convenient to many other lovely fascinating villages of Provence.

Response from the owner We were so happy to get to know you. And, indeed, we did share some exciting moments during the weeks you were here. You know where we are, you know that we enjoy your company and that we will take good care of you... and that you would be welcome to return to PROVENCE PARADISE whenever you wish. You people are unique! Hope to get one day to Mount Thomas to see those 100-year-old monagrammed bed sheets made into curtains!

“Definitely a piece of paradise in Provence.”

Reviewed 24 May 2013

You know that feeling of how it's good to get home after a long day out, especially with everyone driving on the wrong side of the road? That's what it is like at Provence Paradise. Extremely comfortable. Little bags of lavender on the ledge above the bedhead. Luxurious pillows. Soft night lights automatically turn on as you move towards the bathroom. Plenty of firewood. Outside were mid-April sunny days. Cool (not cold) nights. Tulips, waterwheel and swimming pool in the beautiful garden. The best part of staying at Provence Paradise was William. Bursting with knowledge and infectious enthusiasm. He brought warm croissants to our door every morning at 8.30am (later by arrangement). He organised a delicious meal for us on arrival - with quaffable French wine and cold beers in the fridge. Everything was easy for William - restaurant bookings, how to get to places, where to park when no one else can find a spot. This little nook. That little cranny - not in the tourist books but not to be missed. William knew it all. In addition the hamlet is located within an easy stroll of St. Remy and is a perfect base for experiencing the many delights of the Provence - the St. Remy markets are not to be missed. Can't drive to hidden Roman ruins after a fantastic day touring the wineries of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (thank you David)? Not a problem. William will happily drive you. Got stuff to send home to australia? Not a problem. William can box it up and take it to the Post office for you. Fantastic memories. We'd be back there in a flash. Add in your own superlatives. We've run out. Catherine and Phil Sydney, Australia

Response from the owner Catherine and Phil, thanks for taking the time to write your comments. I also have fantastic memories of the two of you.... Phil with that big white beard and a cold beer (almost) always in hand and Catherine so friendly and full of smiles, with the enormous job of taking care of Phil--- keeping him on the straight and narrow! Not easy, because he's "as Irish as Patty's pig." And, between you... 10 kids! Do plan to come again someday soon. Send us your friends, especially if they're anything like the two of you!

“Great place to visit la Provence”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2013

Authentic place, a real old moulin reconstructed to make a very charm house with fireplace and all you can need. you feel at home... William helped us every days to choose the best things to visit and do with our 3 years old son, it's a perfect place to visit all the region... comfortable, secure place, great innkeeper, we hope to back soon.

Response from the owner We were so happy to have you with us for Easter week! Rain or shine, you took advantage of all there is to see and do. I never saw young Eduardo bored, because you found lots of things especially for him to do! Thanks for the Easter Egg Hunt photos, which we put up on our FACEBOOK page for the world to see! Little Adam from TelAviv and his sister "discovered" the joys of Easter morning, along with Edu. Come back please and/or send us other great folks just like you, Veronica and Jorge. “Dedicated Host”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2013

It is hard to put into words my comments on our stay at Provence Paradise; not only was the accommodation excellent, and I mean fantastic, the dedication of William to make our holiday special goes way beyond words. During our stay one or more of our group of six were sick at one time or another and the help that William gave us was unbelievable and as mentioned way beyond words. Thanks William we will not forget. I would suggest without hesitation to anyone thinking of staying in that region, do not go past Provence paradise. It is Paradise. The detail and thought that has gone into the accommodation, including stocking the refrigerator and wine cellar, was extraordinary. We have travelled to many parts of the world and none of us has ever encountered such hospitality and unless we go back I don't believe we ever will again. William we will be back.

“Life in Provence at is best”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2012

I write "life in Provence" because it felt like we were living there, not just a holiday. William and his team made sure that we had everything (and I really mean everything) so that we enjoyed our time there. We were a very high maintenance group: with a small baby (8 months old) who required every bit of gear (bed, high chair, car seat, toys, etc) and a 4 year old ready to play and have fun, we were ready to accommodate to whatever we found. But no, William had prepared everything for us, we had all the necessary gear and more, we had a fantastic pool, a beautiful house (ohh I want to be there in winter too) and a host who went out of his way to please and help his guests. The highlight of our holiday: eating outdoors every day. We loved the set up of the house and we had our alfresco breakfast, lunch and dinners. Thank you William. You are a fabulous host.

Response from the owner We would be very happy to see you and your young family with us again at PROVENCE PARADISE. And, YES!, you ought to come at least once in the winter... we can sit together and sip red wine in front of a roaring fire. Plus, next week we install the wood-buring stove (just in time for the cooler weather), in the new glassed-in porch. Should be magic! Thanks again for being such a nice family to have as guests! Truly! Remember, we are "just down the hill from Luxembourg." Come again and/or send us other great people just like you!

“Wonderful family holiday for kids”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2012

We had a wonderful week of exploring Provence and enjoying the peaceful paradise of Le Moulin at Provence Paradise. The best part about the whole trip was how helpful and attentive William was. He helped us get the most out of our trip by working with us each day to map out the best adventures to take our small kids on. It's tricky to travel with small kids but William and Le Moulin made it easy. William was so kind with them and they have been asking to stay at Mr William's place again. The place was clean and well stocked, and had everything we needed for our 9, 3 and 1 year old.

Response from the owner Indeed, we all hope that you will make it here (at least!) once again, maybe in a different season of the year.... to explore a bit more of Provence and see our countryside from an additional angle, in the early Spring or mid-Fall. Your boys are great and added lots of "life" to our PROVENCE PARADISE "hamlet" during the week you were here. It was a pleasure to have you with us!

“Provence Paradise is a 10! And so is William!”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2012

Our stay in Le Moulin Vieil was better than could be expected, on any level. The accommodation was superb with all the amenities you could imagine and then some. William was not only accommodating and helpful, he made reservations and suggestions for our group of 10 which improved our stay immensely. He was instrumental in helping us plan a very special dinner for my husband's retirement party and we all had a wonderful evening. His knowledge of the area and history was very useful and it helped us decide how to plan our day. Each morning William delivered warm pastries so we were able to tell him of our plans for the day and he always had a helpful hint to make our day better. This is truly a one of a kind find and so is William! Looking forward to coming back.

Response from the owner Annie and Gary, welcoming you and your group of wonderful friends was a great way for us to begin the new, summer rental season! Such energy and enthusiasm for discovering Provence. My Team and I really had the feeling that you enjoyed every minute of your stay here "under the provencal sun." And there was plenty! It was a true pleasure to try to be of help to you in every way! We certainly hope that we will see some or all of you again here with us at PROVENCE PARADISE. Meantime, send us other great folks just like you!

“Escape To Paradise”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2012

My family and I were blown away with this truly magical place. Some days are family bonded through the amazing adventures we would have or days when we would take a stroll through the garden and the other we were laying in the sun. This place is a dream you got to see things that put a smile on your face. In every room there was fresh cut flowers and every morning a treat that made a great start to your day. The service was phenomenal words can't describe how amazing this place was! I truly recommend this for anybody it is an amazing place and city to explore and find your inner self. Please if you were to visit any place this is the one. - Craig Family
