“Beautiful view; be prepared to walk to town.”
Wonderful accommodation! Three couples were very happy here. However, any time you want to go into town, you need to hike a steep trail downhill.. We have old knees, so that was a bit of a challenge. It is possible to hire a taxi for the return trip uphill....good to do if you are carrying groceries. Other than that, this is a superior rental.
“Salute the Capitano”
Rooms are huge and bathrooms well appointed. Beds are comfy, with foldout sofa slightly firm. Very secure, with a small safe in every room. Kitchenette very handy, communal washing machine was a bonus. But by far the best part is the view from the spacious balcony area. Location is close to drop off so only short walk with luggage, and then rest of Manrola is a short stroll down the hill. Just a minor note, there are steep stairs in the apartment that may not suit mobility impaired people, however this does add real character to the place. We found Manarola the best town of the 5Tere, less touristic and more village feel - also a bonus, the great bakery near railway pedestrian tunnel.
In general it was a nice accomodation with simple facilities, however to room was not even close to the picture it is advertised with. No view and internet was not really working. Also, ants everywhere. Mention ahould be made that the staff of the agency is amazing, helpful and they have excellent programs you can go to for reasonable price.
“perfect Cinque Terre apartment”
Gorgeous view of the hillsides and sea! Roomy, beautiful apartment with large patio, perfect for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. One night there was a meteor shower and we all slept on patio and watched the stars. Front door steps from trail for hike to Riomaggiore. Very comfortable for a family of 5 (3 college age kids). Check in was a breeze, staff was very nice. Apartment is at the top of the hill so be ready for a walk, but everyone who goes to Cinque Terre should expect this.
superb accommodations, perfect for our needs. The view is more spectacular if you stay closer to the sea, but still good. Advantage of location: you don't have to carry your luggage all the way through the village. Great service at arbaspaa, very friendly woman from austria who corresponded promptly and with great customer orientation.
“very nice view and beautiful village”
Manarola is a very nice village - we were there on the occasion of the San Lorenzo day. Interesting night with beautiful fireworks organized by the village. Definitely a place to visit and stay. Take a swim in the "porticciolo". The apt has a magnificent view and the two rooms are very comfortable. The right accommodation for a family with 2 or 3 kids. Very quiet.
“Terrific stay in a great location”
We stayed upstairs in the apartment. The apartment was clean and there was plenty of space for us with two adults in the big room and 2 children (11 and 12 yrs) in the smaller room. Having two bathrooms was great as was the kitchenette. We had some great meals out in Manarola but opted to have dinner at the apartment one night to enjoy the gorgeous view from the rooftop patio. Each room opens to the staircase and they both open onto the patio. You can't beat the view! Maybe we were prepared from reading up on the area but the walk to the top of the village wasn't as tough as we anticipated. It's all paved up to the top and then there are some steps to go up but it's well worth it. Everyone at arbaspaa was great to deal with and they were extremely helpful when we needed to have a bag that we forgot shipped home.
To begin with , Manarola or anywhere in cinque terre means a lot of stairs and steps. So you should expect this. The whole experience is superbe. Our contact there was with arbaspaa "rental agent" in Manarola . We were upgraded to a better location. The apartment was on the 4th floor, no elevator , but the view and the private garden terrasse was really worth every single step. The apartment was great. All the facilities were available. And the most important thing is the view. It was literally one step away from a very good local restaurant. We enjoyed our stay there and definitely I will recommend it.
Our group of 3 couples rented the entire house, which was perfect. 3 private bedrooms with bath, and another common area with another bed, kitchen, bath, washer/dryer etc. The balcony was our favorite place to be- the view is unbelievable. Great place- as long as you can handle the uphill climb to get there! We loved it- the perfect place for our last nights in Italy.
“Nice apartment on a hill with a view”
This is a nice apartment, but the bedroom is in the main area with no private space except the bathroom sink area and shower/toilet area. If you want separate bedrooms, those are available on separate levels of the building. You must personally move your luggage up a steep climb to get to the apartment and then up the narrow steep stairs, so this is only appropriate for fit people. The kitchen was fine, washing machine worked, and the aC worked. Wi-Fi was not working, however.
