“Very nice flat”
Very nice flat in the center of the old town and close to Holyrood Park. Went there with the Family and had a very nice stay.
“Nice flat, Royal Mile location”
Our first choice on Jeffrey St was unavailable so we chose Bulls Close instead. It was a toss up between this one the Royal Mile (where we expected a bit of noise) and a flat in Greyfriars. Bulls Close won out because it had a bath. On arrival we were happy to find the complimentary bottle of wine and shortbread, plus tea and coffee, but had to quickly nip out for milk. We expected a bit of nighttime noise being directly on Royal Mile. To be fair we only got disturbed on the Friday night and Saturday night of our week long stay. It's really handily situated for cafes, restaurants, newsagents, pub and a Tesco local. Spitting distance to Parliament, Holyrood and arthur's Seat The heating and boiler worked perfectly which isn't usually the case at Jeffrey St but both properties share a problem at bathtime. It takes forever for the water to run hot and then only if you allow it to trickle which means it takes forever to fill. My partner also found the bed a bit uncomfortable but I was fine. Kitchen was good, living room comfy and we stayed in a number of nights just watching TV. Neighbours were quiet although someone did let their dog leave a mess on the doorstep that someone then walked in. We were forced to swill the entrance down. A minor gripe - no local glass recycling facility. All in all we had a fantastic week. We will be booking with Vacation Rentals again next year and if we can't get Jeffrey St again we'll certainly book this one.

Unfortunately, peace and quiet can't be guaranteed in the heart of the city centre but, as you found, the good side of that is the closeness to eating and drinking places, shops and the main sights. There are recycling facilities nearby for cardboard, plastic, etc. but unfortunately there is not yet a bottle bank at that location (the nearest one is at Grassmarket). Thanks for alerting us to the slowness of the hot water, which we'll get our plumber to investigate. And sorry about the dog mess: we have reported this to the Environmental Wardens, who are responsible for monitoring persistent offenders. It's good to hear that overall you had a good time on your return visit to one of our properties, and we look forward to welcoming you again at some point in the future. “Great little appartment”
We spent 4 lovely days at the appartment in Bulls Close. It is so convieniently placed for all the sight and also the University area where our granddaughter is studyingwhich was great as she was easily able to spend time with us. The appartment is very well equiped and everything is of a very high standered, great kitchen and bathroom, lots of hot water and a very comfortable bed. Hope to visit again soon
“Very convenient, clean and good”
The flat was the way it was said it would be. There was even some shortbread, milk, sugar etc in the kitchen, which was nice. The only difficulties we encountered while we were there... the dryer did not work well, we tried it twice and our laundry was still not dry enough to pack, so keep that in mind when you book this flat. The second thing was that there was only one toilet paper roll in the flat.. the one that was being used. We realised it too late, otherwise we'd buy some more in advance. Also, a bit loud in the night when people return from parties, but we were there during the festival time, so it's probably not always so bad. But no serious problems. Overall, we enjoyed it there. We'd book it again!
Response from the manager Thanks for alerting us to the issue of the dryer. We will check the filter, etc. to ensure that this is ok. We usually leave two or three rolls of toilet paper as part of the "starter pack". “Excellent while awake”
This is a nice, clean flat which is well equipped with respect to kitchen needs...but, not the ideal location for those who are light sleepers. The single pane windows which overlook the Royal Mile rattle with every passing vehicle and every passing conversation is clearly heard. Other than the nightly noise level, it is a great flat in a central location.

“Great location, a bit loud though”
First off this place was very nice, clean, totally set up, welcoming and had great coordination with the rental agent. It is right on the Royal Mile (three or so blocks away from the really touristy area which is nice), literally look out the front window and see all the shops. The kitchen is in great condition with some newer and great functioning appliances. There's also a parking garage nearby (out the back, down the close and west three blocks on Holyrood Rd.) that I got 24 hour parking for £14 although the meters and single yellow right across the street were usually available in the evenings. Overall a nice experience. The only negatives about the place was how loud the street noise is and I heard that the sofa bed was not very comfy but what do you expect from a sofa bed. The street level windows are not great at keeping out the noise and one of the windows in the second room (the one with the couch / sofabed) has a large vent in the window so the noise just comes right through. Since it is on the Royal Mile expect cars to be coming by all night and people at different levels of intoxication to be coming by talking at all volumes until the late hours. If you can manage that the place is wonderful though, just maybe some earplugs or white noise while you sleep.

“Bull Close 1a”
Great location. Wonderfully clean and comfortable flat. I enjoyed my time in this flat and felt safe even when the parties were going on around me. This was my first time renting a flat and I loved every minute. I will be doing it again perhaps next winter and hope to again find Bull Close available.
Really wonderful apartment at the end of Royal Mile. It is right on the street, but given the location, we thought it would be much noisier than it was. There is a lot within one block - pubs, groceries, souvenirs - and so much more within walking distance - Edinburgh Castle, Hollyrood Park, Waverly Station, shopping district, theatres, etc. Apartment is stocked with plenty of appliances and utensils as well as a few extras (coffee, tea, milk, salt and pepper), but for cooking a real meal you will likely need to buy some basic ingredients. It is very clean (you even get brand new kitchen sponges), there is a good amount of storage and it easily feels like home, as opposed to a place that has people coming in and out year-round. Everything is easy to use, a thorough folder of instructions and tips is included, and there are even owners manuals for all appliances should you need more help and don't want to bother the owners. Absolutely will stay there again, no need to look anywhere else.
