“Excellent place to stay for al sort of reasons and seasons!”
This very cosy cottage has everything you need on a daily basis, just as the town itself! Plenty of places to do your daily shopping, nice places to eat and a good choice of pubs. It has great places to visit as well like the abbey, the John Moore Museum, Heritage Centre, Farmers Market, riverwalks etc. And after a day out it is great to sit on the bench infront of the cottage and watch the sometimes stunning sunsets over the Ham. If you just want to relax and chill out: this is the place to be. If you are in to walking, birdwatching etc. this is also the place to be. The owners live next door and that is a bonus as well: they are very nice and very helpful!
“A bijou residence in a unique and lovely situation.”
A small two room residence on the banks of the River avon. Well appointed with plenty of everything you might need. Downside is the storage heating which in winter is not quite adequate and the hot water supply which is also not quite enough for baths.
Response from the owner Our sincere apologies that you found the storage heaters not quite adequate. Had we been made aware, we could have given you a convector heater to put in your rooms. I hope that we informed you that the radiators are storage/convector heaters, with a convector heater button on the side. The hot water system does take a little getting used to I'm afraid but does produce very hot water. Hope it won't stop you staying with us again. Many thanks, Bill & Dawn
“chill out central!”
Two friends and I had the most amazing stay at the cottage, as we were in town to use a recording studio near by. Friendly atmostphere and suprisingly good night life! I would definatley recommend the cottage to anyone! Log fire and beautiful views. Bob and Dawn were exceptional hosts and made sure we had everything we needed, including coffee and tea went we arrived. Couldn't ask for anything more really. 10/10 Bob and Dawn, we will be returning in the spring!
Very quaint. Really enjoyed ourselves thanks a lot bill and dawn :)
That was great time. As we have many kids at home, we decided to have lovely weekend in peace and silence for our anniversary. When we arrived to the cottage there was flowers and anniversary card waiting for us. We have had wonderful time in the cottage and Bill Hant is truly polite and very nice person. Many, many thanks
“Our picture perfect corner of England!!! Just lovely!”
I feel so privileged to have found this little gem! As a two day getaway for my self and a visitor from Ibiza, although a culture change I'm sure, the perfect place to sample the quintessential English experience. Bill and Dawn were great at making us feel welcome and bringing extra fire wood when were ran out after enjoying our cosy log fires a little too much! Tewksebury itself also gave us plenty to explore and the cathedral is a must. We both loved it, a truly special place.
This little gem of a cottage is in a perfect spot. There is no noise at all yet shops etc are only minutes away. The setting is superb overlooking the river and fields across to Malvern. Why stay in a hotel or b&b; where you only have a room when you can stay in this lovely little place
“Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting”
The compact living space has everything you might need for a relaxing break including. The views are spectacular, especially from the bedroom window. We stayed for a long weekend and had a lovely time exploring the abbey and local tea houses. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We had a wonderful meal at My Great Grandfather's and enjoyed walks along the rivers. A little gem.
What a amazing find! To wake each morning to views across the ham and reflections in the mill pond was magical. Bill and Dawn were the perfect hosts giving that little bit extra to ensure our stay was perfect. A step back into time into a home steeped in history and an ideal location to explore the Cotswolds . Evensong in the abbey, watching the sunset or enjoying Tewkesbury made 9 Mill Bank most memorable and we will certainly return if circumstances permit.
The cottage is perfectly located, close to Town, lovely views across the Mill, River and The Ham. Everything you need in the Cottage and all amenities close by. We really enjoyed our stay and perfect hosts. thank you
