“Crosswinds B&B; is comfortable and convenient, and the hosts are”
Our few nights at Crosswinds were most enjoyable. The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and offered a number of useful tips. The cottage was nicely furnished, and the kitchen had everything we needed to be self sufficient. I would recommend Crosswinds without hesitation.
Crosswinds is a great location with easy access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, beautiful beaches, and National Seashore headquarters where there's great hiking and canoeing. We stayed in the cottage and it was comfortable overall, but it would be nice if the shower was bigger (barely fits a normal sized person) and updated with a decent shower head. Also, we noticed that the owners don't clean up very well between guests (fridge was filthy, counters and cabinets greasy, and spider webs everywhere).
“Re: cute little cottage”
Andrea and Ron's sweet little cottage was clean and equipped with the basic needs of any bed and breakfast. You have your own kitchen and more privacy than in a regular inn. When we needed something they were available and very helpful, this is a great place to stay!
Everything--the cottage, the bed, the food, the privacy, the kitchen, the beautiful grounds, the hosts-- the location!-- are all what you hope for when you are escaping to The Cape. Andrea and Ron are the kind of people who made us feel like we were old friends-- good old friends-- who were able to pick up where we "left off." We cannot recommend this arrangement more highly and are hoping to return. Nauset Beach by day, fresh broiled scallops for dinner, sunsets at First Encounter Beach...home to The Cottage...doesn't get better than that.
We stay on May 10th and 11th in the cottage. My wife and I had a wonderful time, Ron and andrea were awesome. The breakfast foods they provided for us was nice, I really liked the egg bread. The cottage was just right plenty of room for us. I was also pleased that they had wifi and cable tv with movie and sports channels also hd. The best thing was even thou it is a bed and breakfast the cottage is separate from the house, nothing against our hosts but I don't like eating in someone's kitchen or using their bathroom. If we needed them we would knock on their door and if we didn't need them them we went on our way. All in all I would definitely stay here again, and I can't say how great Ron and andrea were.
“A joyous experience”
About: Ron & andrea D We stayed at Crosswinds for several days in late October and it was a joyous experience. We travelled about by car some of the time, by bike (on loan from our hosts), and on foot (we brought our own). There is an easy bike ride to a French Boulangerie which you should not miss, and nearby walk trails for a flavour (sorry, flavor) of the Cape. The studio is a delightful place to stay. It comprises a spacious bed/living/dining/kitchen area and a bathroom which you can get really clean in. The kitchen was well provided with breakfast foods and a home-baked loaf (hmm!!) when we arrived, and often when returning home, we'd find that the muffin fairy had visited. But, despite how good the accommodation was, it was eclipsed by the hosts. Ron & andrea were (and probably still are) utterly delightful. They were warm, generous, helpful and friendly beyond measure. It's a sad thing about travelling like this that you meet people whom you'd want to be your best friends and then you transport yourself to the other end of the world. We are mystified however to know why andrea is always spelt uncapitalised; she has no reason to be self-effacing. Dear Ron & andrea, thanks for a wonderful stay and we sincerely hope that our paths will cross again. Nola & Bill
“Top Notch Place to Enjoy the Cape”
Great accommodations. The home made bread was a treat for breakfast. Centrally located near everything on the Cape. The grounds and gardens are picturesque. The rooms are very well decorated and include all the amenities you could ask for. The hosts are great people to work with and go out of their way to make your stay special. You really can't go wrong here. We expect to be back.
