Very Good

Reviewed 18 Jun 2014

My wife, myself and two grown-up kids stayed for 3 nights in March in a 3 bedroom apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our short time there. Everything was obviously maintained to a very high standard and could find no fault whatsoever. Very spacious with excellent facilities but as we were only staying 3 nights we did little cooking. We did not arrive at the apartment until Sunday afternoon but that was not a problem to the owner who had arranged for someone to be there to meet us. Location is ideal in Old Quebec and only a short walk to the tourist destinations. Also, view from the apartment onto the St Lawrence river was terrific. Only problem was that we were only there for 3 nights and would love to return for a longer stay.

“Quebec Oasis with luxury and comfort”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2014

I stayed in this condo with 5 girlfriends. It is the ultimate place to stay, within walking distance to all attractions. The Biron Family and Ed are lovely, accommodating people that went above and beyond to ensure our stay was spectacular. We wanted for nothing as the condo was well furnished and supplied. The only recommendation we had was a blender, I am sure Ed will have one next time we come to visit. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay.... Kim and the Ladies from Gilford, ON

“Comfortable and spacious in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 14 May 2014

Our family group of 7 (4 adults, plus 3 kids ages 11 to 14) loved our stay in the Dalhousie Condos. The 3-bedroom 3-bath Dalhousie unit was ideally located and comfortable. We most enjoyed the spaciousness and quality of the condo. It was great for hanging out together and cooking a bit, but with separate bedrooms with en suite baths for us grownups. It had an expansive view of the river and the location was very walkable to restaurants, a wonderful museum, farmers market and vieux Quebec. Our hosts were extremely accommodating, meeting us upon arrival and recommending some things to do while in town.Though not cheap, we found it a good value... the opportunity to hang out together is worth it, and cooking some meals helped offset the cost. A real "home away from home" in a gorgeous city.

“Best place to stay in Old Quebec City”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2014

We stayed in the Royal Dalhousie Condos over the Christmas period. It was like a winter wonderland. We could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation. The condos are beautiful. The are warm and welcoming. The furnishings are lovely, the showers were hot and the kitchen fully equipped. The photos really don't do the condos justice. The view out from the windows was unbelievable as we watched the ice flows and ships pass by. The condo is close to everything and an easy walk to most attractions. Delicious restaurants are just around the corner and there is a café downstairs. We were so sad to leave. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Amazing unit! Great for family stay.”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2012

Our entire family (4 adults and 3 young boys)went to Quebec City for a wedding. My boys were so excited when they saw the spacious condo unit. They had so much fun looking out at the St. Lawrence River and running around the family room. There were so much space that they can each have their own corner to play in. The kitchen is big and well-equipped. It made breakfast and lunch a fun time for all. We even managed to host a few gatherings with other wedding guests since the place is so big and Beautiful. The only complaint was that there was a gigantic cruise ship parked right in front of us... blocking the magnificent view. Ed was very helpful and the custodian was also very nice!

“nice condo, great location - cruise ships block view”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2012

We stayed for 4 nights and we could hardly tell the other units were occupied. In fact we couldn't hear people in our unit from the bedrooms. The location is convenient for walking for sightseeing and dinner. Ed was very helpful, even carrying some of our heavier bags to the unit. The unit was well stocked with enough glasses, dished, etc. so that we could have breakfast and also a afternoon wine and snacks, although it could use some small tables in the living area for setting drinks and snacks. We didn't have any dinners in the unit, but it appeared it was equipped for that. In our unit, one of the bedrooms had a tub but no shower, and the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a curtain rather than a door. The only negative is that very large cruise ships dock directly across from the unit, blocking a large part of the view. We had only one day with an unobstructed view.

“Great for visting Old Quebec and Port”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2012

This was a perfect place to stay to visit Old Quebec and the Waterfront! It has a wonderful view of the St Lawrence. It was easy walking distance to Old Quebec, the old port, and Little Champlain. We walked to the farmer's market to get fresh fruits. There is also a great little breakfast and lunch shop on the first floor. We got croissants for breakfast and a great duck sandwich for lunch. We watched the fireworks sitting in the window seat. We could then watch the traffic clear out. It was great to not have to sit in that two hour wait and be right there.

“Nice home away from home”

We brought our two toddlers and extended family with us to Quebec city recently. Ed Sweeney was so nice and helpful even from the time we've booked. The place was a gorgeous 2000sq feet lofty condo that is spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and in working order. We had an excellent one week stay there. Location is nice and convenient for sightseeing in old Quebec. We will definitely come back again.

“Great apartment, Great location”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2011

7 of us stayed in two of the apartments for one week whilst attending a conference for work. The apartments were extremely spacious, well equipped and in an ideal location, with beautiful views overlooking the river and close to lots of nice restaurants and cafes, shops and museums (we didn't just work while we were there!!). We had a great stay and wished we could stay for longer!

“Great Location and Great View”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2011

Pleasantly surprised. I was worried that I wouldn't get the condo in the picture as he had other listed properties. The photos did not do it justice. Great view. Very close to the shops and tourist attractions. Bit of an uphill trek, but otherwise ok. Ample parking was a bonus. Only drawback was not very sound proof. Four nights in a row you can hear neighbour's child crying the whole night. There was also someone in building doing construction at 1 am. Otherwise, owner very accommodating. Answers questions quickly. Very friendly.
