“Beautiful haven in a busy city”
We loved this apartment near Piazza Bologna. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, Anna and alessandra, who gave us excellent directions to the house and supplied us with lots of information about local restaurants (the Hosteria on Viale XXI aprile is fabulous), gelaterias, grocery stores, bars and local sights. The location is perfect - away from the tourist hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance of transport that takes you to the main sights of Rome. The apartment is located in a quiet area with a leafy piazza nearby with small playgrounds. The apartment itself is very spacious and feels like a real home. It has a warm and bright eat-in kitchen, a beautifully decorated living and dining area with a balcony which overlooks the street. The bedrooms are large with plenty of storage and the bedding and beds perfectly comfortable. It also has a lift which was handy for our luggage as the apartment is on the 4th floor. This is a special place and we highly recommend it for your stay in Rome.
“Great apartment in real Italian Neighborhood”
This apartment was very spacious in contrast to many I looked at online before our trip. Great access to metro and bus is right by apt. Great cafe selection and tobacco shop for metro tickets. Because it is a large apartment complex, be aware it is noisy at night with people coming & going. Owners, Anna and alessandra are wonderful and helpful. Our trip in a typical off-season time had surprisingly nice weather - only a half day of rain and then 60's during the day and plenty of sunshine. Great place to visit and a great apartment. I highly recommend it.
“Excellent apartment in Rome”
We and our friends, a total of 4 retirees, spent 4 enjoyable nights at the Le Terrae apartment. The apartment was clean and wel maintained and beautiflly furnished to give a "home" atmosphere. It is situated in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance to the Bologna Metro Station which connects you to all of the attractions. The hosts anna, who handled the booking, and alessandra, who met us at the apartment, were very kind and helpful, providing maps, suggestions, information on the area and recommendations of restaurants and eateries. They made us feel like house guests rather than renters. We had a wonderful time.
“Two blissfully quiet, but exciting, weeks in Rome”
This was our eleventh trip to Italy in eleven years. Previously, we had stayed in cities and in small towns. We've rented apartments and houses that were ideally located; but in many cases noisy. For a change, my wife and I were seeking a quiet apartment in Rome that also provided proximity to all of the many attractions that Rome has to offer. We couldn't have made a better choice. The apartment is in a very quiet neighborhood, but is located within a few blocks of buses that will take you to just about anywhere you want to go in no more than 30 minutes. The apartment is on the fifth floor and has an elevator that was never out of order. By Italian standards this is a very large apartment. All of the rooms are spacious. There is a foyer, a a living room, two bedrooms, a shower and one Jacuzzi bath. The kitchen is large, has a breakfast nook, and has all of the necessary cooking implements one could want. An ironing board, an iron and umbrellas are also provided. Most of our home-prepared meals were eaten on the large balcony, which seats four or five very comfortably. Unlike many rental agencies, we were met at the door by the owner who answered every question posed to her including recommendations for restaurants, bus locations, etc. Supermarkets, bakeries and other stores were within walking distance. I must stress that this apartment was not furnished helter-skelter like some other apartment rentals. It is tastefully decorated and inviting.. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone seeking a comfortable, quiet and well-located rental in Rome.
