“Comfortable luxury in a prime location”
Bernie's apartment is a superb option. The luxury beds, linen, coffee, ensuites that you would get from a hotel but more flexibility which is fantastic when you're travelling as a family. There are bakeries and restaurants just on the streets below and although it's quite a buzzy neighbourhood, the apartment is quiet and has amazing views out onto St Severin church and the towers of Notre Dame. The location could not be better - a short walk from some of Paris's highlights and an even shorter walk to the metro if you don't feel like walking. Bernie is a very conscientious host and made arriving and leaving really easy. We had a great stay. Thank you.
“Couldn't have been better!”
We stayed in Bernie's beautiful apartment for a week in april/May. We were extremely happy with the apartment, its location and with Bernie's friendly and helpful manner. The apartment was convenient to everything, incl a metro station around the corner. Our adult daughter slept downstairs in what she said was the most unbelievably comfortable sofabed. She could have slept in the single bed under the open stairs but chose the bigger sofabed. She had her own bathroom and a huge flat screen TV had she wanted it. She also had total privacy and access to the kitchen etc as my husband & I were upstairs in our own bedroom. Our bed was ks and honestly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on/in. I even got the details of what it was from Bernie so I can try to buy one in australia. I have shoulder & hip troubles and usually ache after lying down for a while; but not in that bed! The clever use of space upstairs and the bank of windows looking out over the Paris rooftops makes it very light and airy and feel larger than it probably is. The his & hers sides of the wardrobe you walk through to get to the bathroom is ideal, as is the shower wall of glass bricks so the light from the bedroom illuminates the bathroom even without the light on. And talking lights - a small thing - the lighted surround to the bathroom mirror gives a perfect reflection for doing makeup etc. There is also another large flat screen TV on the wall above the desk. Not that we watched it...we were in Paris! They really have thought this apartment out...the slightly quirky, modern touches are a perfect counterpoint to the uplit ancient stone wall that greets you on entry and the massive, original ceiling beams and stairs. To be so comfortably accommodated, then be able to hop in the lift, exit our own front door onto Rue St Severin, and walk around the corner to the metro or Notre Dame & down the road to the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay was worth every penny. Couldn't recommend it more highly!
“Perfect location, comfort, and hospitality”
We stayed in Bernie's wonderful apartment for a week in September. It was absolutely perfect. I am not a good sleeper but I slept like a baby! A comfortable bed, high above the busy Paris streets. We had the best time. It was perfectly located so we could easily jump on a train, the metro or in a cab to get where we wanted to go. The apartment was outfitted with everything we needed. Can't wait to go back! Jacquelyn and arne
“Fabulous 2 bed 2 bath paris apartment .”
My family of four stayed in this apartment in the beginning of july in 2011. Our first impression was wow!!. The decor was fun purple and orange in the living area. The kitchen was terrific . It was small but it had everything you could need, it was so well organized. The bathrooms were so nicely done. The master bedroom was in a loft that was decorated very nicely. We had a super comfortable bed . We did have a hard time ordering a taxi for our departure and Bernie helped us with that. I would say our entire family felt so comfortable we did have some cool views from the master bed room. great place will be renting again.
“Fabulous apartment in central location”
Beautifully presented flat in immaculate order. Very central location and easy to travel here from Eurostar terminal. Very quiet.
This apartment was well-appointed and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to cook from home, yet was well located that if you wanted to just walk down, there were tons of restaurants to choose from. Thanks for thinking about all the details. We really enjoyed our stay!
“Awesome and Beautiful apartment”
This apartment was more than we expected. It was in the center of a great location, near several restaurants. The management was excellent and kept it very clean. From someone that rents a lot of houses all over the world, to give this compliment is significant. It is far better than any hotel, great area, and very beautifully decorated. It was the best time ever.
“Splendid rooftop nest!”
Wonderful cocoon, we loved the decoration especially the paintings. The roof view at night reminded us the aristocat movie, it was magical. We feel relaxed and peaceful ... Thanks to the bed and bath.
