“Perfection in Paradise!”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2014

Ryan & Darlene's penthouse Ko Olina Beach Villa on the 14th floor is nothing short of first class luxury. Every amenity has been taken care of from the beautifully furnished two bedroom, two bathroom unit to the high tech kitchen with sub-zero refrigerator to the wireless internet & cable TVs. Even the swim gear is ready for snorkeling in the nearby lagoon! The views from the patio/balcony are breathless as we watched the sunrise and sunset over the blue Pacific Ocean each morning and evening. We took advantage of the gym, which had much nicer equipment than our paid gym membership back home, as well as the lap pool & spa and the kids pool. The close parking and private elevator up to the penthouse was also a nice feature (only one other unit on the floor, very quiet!). Ryan & Darlene are extremely gracious hosts/owners and will treat you like you're their friends. They will make you feel comfortable and make sure everything is taken care of during your stay. Blayne and Eric will also go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are taken care of during your visit. The photos on the site really don't do the condo true justice. It's much, much nicer than words or photos can ever describe. Don't take my word for it though. Go see for yourself and enjoy perfection in paradise at the Ko Olina Beach Villa.

“Best family trip ever!”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2014

Great venue, all family members together...all the ingredients for a memorable family event! It was a great vacation for our family with college age kids. Things that made our family vacation great...one, the whole facility including Ryan & Darlene's place is just fantastic. The unit itself (all appliances high end) and the view is just fantastic...we cannot say enough about the view! Two, add excellent service by Ryan, Blaine, & Eric and it makes it a first class event/venue! Three, listen to the advice Ryan gives regarding places to visit and eat...we hit most, if not all of them, and if we would have stayed longer, we would have gone back again. We were there a week and could not hit all the great sites recommended by Ryan...but the ones we went to, we would definitely go back again in a heartbeat.

“Awesome penthouse condo, location, view, pools, beach on cove...”

We were greeted by Blayne in the lobby and given a tour of the grounds and then taken to our penthouse condo for another tour. Blayne was truly a kind and helpful gentleman and shared his local knowledge with us and offered to help us make any reservations, etc. we may need. He gave us his phone number to contact him anytime if we needed. The penthouse had an awesome view to enjoy any time of day. The penthouse itself was first class and finely appointed with quality furniture and memory foam beds that were extremely comfortable...the foldout couch also had memory foam and equally comfortable. The kitchen was very well designed and very functional with great equipment and plenty of silverware, dishes, plates, and glasses. This was truly a place to relax and enjoy with a beautiful master bedroom and exquisite master bath area. There was stone floor throughout except for quality carpet in the bedrooms. Our shopping needs including Costco, Safeway, drug stores, and plenty restaurants are within a couple of miles. There are also some nearby stores and restaurants within walking distance. My family enjoyed the beach cove, pools, and jacuzzi non-stop! We appreciated the safety of the coves for our daughters to swim and the water was not cold. The beach walkway was a nice way to open and end the day, with a cappuccino in hand. I was drawn to the Ko Olina Golf Club to walk along and watch the Lpga Lotte Tournament which Michele Wie won! Inbee Park was a couple of strokes away for 3rd place! What a week!! We could look out our bedroom windows down at the 9th fairway...beautiful. If anything was needed within our place we had a number for Gabriela's Cleaning Service and they would take care of it. They were very helpful and friendly, just like Blayne. I might also add that the owner, Ryan, was in contact and very generous with us to make sure our stay was enjoyed without worry. He also made certain our security deposit was immediately refunded in full.

“Beautiful Villa!!”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2014

Me and my husband and our 3 kids just returned from staying a week at the Ko Olina Beach Villa 14th floor. It was amazing!! The Villa is beautiful, very clean, and has an amazing view from the lanai!! The staff at the beach villas were very nice, Blaine was very helpful and really cute with my kids. The atmosphere is very kid friendly and it had a very quiet, laid back feel. The beach was great and the water was perfect for snorkeling. Ryan, the owner of the Villa was so great to work with us. He called us upon arrival to make sure we found the villa and to make sure we were happy with everything. He was great!! I would totally stay here again and would recommend it to anyone! Much to my kids embarrassment, I actually cried when we had to leave!!

“The best of paradise: quiet, relaxing, luxury accommodations wi”

Ryan was great to book with: easy, friendly and helpful. We were met by Blayne, the concierge. He welcomed us, was very friendly, funny and showed us around the Beach Villas and through the penthouse. He showed us where everything was and how it worked. Blayne was never more than a phone call away and continued to help us enjoy our vacation with advise and directions. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The penthouse was all you would expect. The pictures don't really do it justice. Everything in Ko Olina is beautiful. The Beach Villas grounds, landscape, pools and sheltered cove with it own beach are perfect. You wakeup with an awesome ocean view which only gets better as the day goes on and ends with a sunset to remember. It was great to go out for dinners. But, we enjoyed being able to BBQ and enjoy the private bar next to the Bbqs and beach. Derrick makes a "Ko Olina Sunset" that will definitely have you relaxed and smiling. After a few of those,I almost started singing "tiny bubbles". It was nice to take an early morning or a romantic walk at night along the boardwalk along all 4 coves and the marina. If you didn't want to go sight seeing around the island, you could stay at the Beach Villas and Ko Olina area and feel complete. Paradise Cove Luau is within walking distance and is well worth it. Lots of fun for the whole family. There are several great restaurants, coffee shops, ice-cream shop, stores and golf course in Ko Olina. If your going to Ohau, you should stay here! We will again and again.

“A piece of Heaven”

We spent 6 weeks in this beautiful condo and have never enjoyed ourselves more than this time. We come to Hawaii every year and have stayed in numerous hotels in Waikiki and we will never stay there again. This Beach Villa was so quiet and serene and the ocean view was fabulous. The sunsets were gorgeous. The condo itself was immaculate, very well stocked, beautifully designed and decorated. I could easily live in this condo for 6 months. The communication with the owner was great. He was very personable and easy to get ahold of. He was in constant contact with us to make sure that we were comfortable and that everything was to our liking. He is terrific! we got home and immediately booked for next for 6 weeks. You can't beat this place!!! It is also very close to shopping, Costco, Safeway, Target, etc.

“Amazing Family Holiday”

Reviewed 26 Jan 2014

We had a fantastic week at Ko Olina! The Villa was fantastic - very spacious and furnished to a very high quality. We enjoyed every aspect - the lanai was very private - being on the 14th floor meant no-one looked down on you. The view was spectacular and we really enjoyed relaxing on the lanai in the evening when the sun was going down. The bedrooms were a great size and the master bedroom shower was huge. The pools were really lovely and the koi pond was a hit with the children. There is a little pebble beach for toddlers which was great for our 2 yr old. The resort itself was not that busy - so there was no trouble getting a seat by the pool - and the pool bar was great for a cocktail or 2. Marcy down at the pool bar was excellent and would even book restaurants and shows for you. There were plenty of options for dinner - Longboards at the Marriott next door had a lovely setting for beachside dining and there were also some good restaurants at Ko Olina Station - just a couple of minutes walk down the road. There is also a little market at Ko Olina station which was really handy for picking up drinks and snacks and they had a pretty good selection of souvenirs. Ryan was extremely helpful and easy to deal with - he provided lots of instructions and maps with directions to shopping areas and restaurants close by. The directions to the villa came in really handy when the Navman took us to a closed road - which was a little stressful when we arrived in the dark and had never been there before! Ryan even helped with the return of our daughter's special soft toys that we accidentally left behind. Overall this was an amazing, relaxing holiday and I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone wanting a fantastic Hawaiian holiday.

“Wonderful villa, great hosts!”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

It's hard to explain "quality", but when I see it, I know it. This villa is "quality". My wife, our two kids (4 & 9) and I just returned from a week at the Ryan's Ko Olina Beach Villa and we really enjoyed our time there. From the moment we arrived at the resort until the time we left, we recognized that this was a special place where a great detail of attention had been paid to creating a wonderful experience for guests. Ryan enhanced this experience by providing a great value for his villa, ample information for planning, timely attention to concerns, and ease of commercial aspects with the rental. Upon arrival, check-in was fantastic as everything was ready and Mr. Blain at the front desk did a great job of orienting us to the property and guiding us to the villa. It was fantastic to watch the reaction of my family as they saw the pools, the koi pond and the semi-private elevator to the villa. It just kept getting better as we entered the villa which has a striking design and was very clean. And then Mr. Blain raised the blinds and opened the sliding glass doors to the lanai to show the unbelievable view. Our kids saw the beach and we couldn't resist immediately going down to it as the sun was setting. We spent the majority of the week enjoying the villa, the lagoon beaches, the pools. The resort on whole may have been at 50% guest capacity during our time there. The location was convenient for side trips up the windward coast, to the North Shore, Pearl Harbor and Waikiki, but we were excited to return to Ko Olina after each side trip for the tranquility and relaxation at the villas. One additional benefit for this trip was that the location provided much better weather than other locations on the island that were hit with heavy rains during our visit, while we only had a few passing light showers. This is a great place to stay and Ryan and the staff at Ko Olina are wonderful hosts. We would happily return to this same location for future trips!

“Fantastic family vacation in beautiful Ko Olina, Hawaii!”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2013

Aloha Ryan, we loved Ko Olina, your beautiful condo was a wonderful place for us to stay and enjoy being back in Hawaii. We are very happy we chose to stay there, we loved the beach, the breeze and near by amenities, spa, golf course, restaurants. Six days was not long enough! We took a ride through Waikiki and Diamond Head, it was so crowded and congested, what a relief to return to the beach villa! Above all, we felt safe staying there, as we missed my husband traveling with us. The condo has just about everything one could find in their own home. It was great to have the beach chairs, beach towels and snorkel equipment. The only thing I missed was a make up mirror...my eyes are not what they used to be, I could have used a magnified mirror for make up application, your wife might know more about this, lol. Your prompt response to the washer operation was appreciated, lots of beach towels to wash! The front desk guest service check-in staff were very professional, but there was one front desk clerk, Gladys, who was not helpful and seemed annoyed when we needed minor questions answered. We had a wonderful time, it was hard to leave the beach, clear waters, blue skies, and soft trades...lucky to live Hawaii! Mahalo for sharing your place!

“Peaceful getaway!”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2013

We had a spectacular view of the ocean, pool, and Disney fireworks on Sunday evening, all from the lanai. The units on floors 10 - 16 are all called penthouse but the elevators are plentiful and we almost never encountered anyone else on them. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful and the lagoon, just outside the property gates, was pleasant to swim in. It gets deep quickly so we used the snorkels that accompanied the unit. The Marriott and Disney properties are a 5 minute walk - they have restaurants - and the Island Country store is a 10-minute walk and they have some groceries, liquors, and ready-to-eat meals. We went there often. The small shopping center also has some restaurants and coffee/ice cream stores. The resort location is west of the busy Honolulu area and the traffic is light. Beware the city traffic, though. Its just like any other big city and we were often stuck in traffic when we went there. The whole property and the Ko Olina area were immaculately clean. We did not cook but the appliances looked new and clean - We enjoyed the 3 tv's and watched Showtime often. At night we could see the stars and I used an app that showed all the stars, planets, and constellations. This is something we can't see from home. It was a new moon and Venus was out every night - beautiful. The pool area closest to the unit - there are two pools - is for adults and is the quiet area. The family pool is a little further away so it was very quiet. The bar was at the end of the property and we didn't hear anything from there at all. One slightly annoying thing was that we needed our keycards often to get around the property. The price of security. However, the plusses way outnumbered any small negatives and we would happily stay there again.
