“2 in 1: Enjoy the nature without giving up on comfort and proxim”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2014

Run by a kind and generous woman, we found in then Garden Pavillon what we were looking for: a calm and cosy environment, with all the comfort, in a beautiful setting outside the city. Within a week of stay, we already felt this was our home. The highlight of it was the owner, Maya Jurt, who treated us as a family. She has done for us more than you would ever expect from a lessor and has made our stay more pleasant and easy as much as she could. The pavillon is fully furnished wih a nice and modern style and is very functional.

“Great and relaxing place close to Geneva”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2013

I stayed at the Garden Pavilion for two months while working at who and it is a great place to stay for either a short holiday or a bit longer. It is not far from Geneva (close to beautiful Carouge) and their is a bus stop nearby. I would recommend bringing a car or bicycle to go to the shop etc. Shops are not far, but not at walking distance. The area is nice and relaxing, the pavilion has all facilities needed such as a well-equipped kitchen, and is clean but cosy. The garden is beautiful in the summer, but I am sure other seasons are lovely too.

“Cozy comfortable resident for small family”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

I stayed at Pavilion Geneva two times in 2013, for two weeks on May with family and for a week on July for business trips. My family loves this resident in every aspects of accommodations in this area. I used to visit Geneva more than three times per year for the past decade. One of excellent studio really was with everything that I need except for a bit remotely located from the Main Station Gare Cornavin, which was not a problem at all to me primarily because of excellent public and private transportations that the owner provides with her hospitality. She was willing to make us feel at home always. I am very kin to recommend this studio for family traveler to Geneva and nearby sightseeings at reasonable costs.

“So much more than a hotel!”

We stayed here for a week in June and loved our little home away from home! It was just as described: clean, modern, and with our own little garden! Maya (owner) thought of everything when she furnished this little place. We had use of a washing machine and she stocked the refrigerator with everything we needed to prepare our first meal in Geneva. She also provided us with a phone so we could let her know anytime if we needed directions or had any questions. The rides to and from the airport were a treat. Public transport in Geneva is excellent and we could get anywhere by taking the bus or tram with the transport pass provided. We liked walking through the countryside to get "home" in the evening. This will definitely be our #1 place to stay when we come back to Geneva!

“Home from home with amazing host.”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2013

We stayed in the garden pavilion for 3 months while looking for work in Geneva. It is small but perfectly formed. We found it had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable, warm (we were there in winter) and well equipped. I worked during that time using the wifi connection which was stable and fast enough. The location next to open countryside and with views of the saleve is great. The pavilion is close to the main house but due to the layout and the considerate owner we definitely felt like it was our own space. That brings me on to the owner, Maya. She really couldn't do enough for us. She answered all our questions about Geneva and was incredibly helpful. She helped my girlfriend a lot with her French learning. She helped us both with our Cv's. Maya went way beyond what is expected of a host for a holiday let. Her willingness to resolve any issue and help with any problem completely made our stay. At the end of our 3 months we were sad to leave our little garden pavilion.

“Very nice and quiet place to stay”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

We spent a great week at the Pavilion. We were in four (2 adults & 2 children - 9 and 11 years old) and we didn't feel cramped. The Pavilion was very clean and well equiped. The owner was always very helpful and discreet at the same time. In general a very nice place to stay!

Response from the owner Karin and her family have been very nice guests, and I felt that before they came. At her insistence, I made an exception and accepted four people. It was summer, the weather was good and the kids had fun in the garden. However, as a rule, the pavilion is for two adults only. Thank you, Karin, for your review, I am glad you all had a good time.

“An amazing week exploring geneva and france”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2012

What a fantastic place to stay, a true home from home. Highly recommended! From collection at the airport to having food in the fridge and a door that is always welcoming, Maya and Gyan were brilliant. From the start they offered help on planning day trips or sites to see. They helped us with the area in finding our way around. The Pavilion itself is fantastic, a great place to have to come back to after a long day out exploring, an amazing kitchen/sitting room very relaxing and a great bathroom/shower and last but not least the mezzanine bedroom. Loved it and will definitely be back!

“In countryside but quick and easy to city, comfortable. Fab!”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2011

Well eqipped, quiet, comfortable, warm, clean, view over the garden and countryside, everything you need. The bed is up on a mezzanine, so you need to be able to manage stairs and low head room. Maya, the owner, is very helpful, she picked us up at the airport and dropped us off, also did our grocery shopping for the first weekend, and provided us with a public transport ticket for the duration of our stay. She also provides a mobile phone and is a mine of useful info on local stuff, French vocabulary etc etc. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

“Well worth it”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2011

I stayed here for two months while studying in Geneva. It was a wonderful experience. Maya could not have been anymore helpful. Fist she picked me up form the airport. This within itself is more than helpful. She also showed me how to take the public transportation system to get where I needed to go. A mobile phone was supplied, and food was waiting upon my arrival. Whenever I needed somthing she was always available to help me with my quest. The location was great, close enough to walk to the tram/bus and get anywhere I needed to go. The apartment was very clean adn supplied everything you need to set up house. Apartments in Geneva are very expensive adn when I first found this one I thought it was expensive but after checking others I disovered they all are expensive and fortunately for me I found this one. Maya made my stay much, much easier. It was well worth it.

“In the countryside yet so close to Geneva center”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2011

The pavilion is cozy, fully equipped and very calm. It is less than a minute walk to bus 46 which takes you directly and in less than 5 minutes to the tramway stop, with direct access to the main train station or to the UN. The landlord lives next door and is very discreet, helpful and attentive. On the plus side: Geneva public transport card free of charge, basic food items so you don't have to run around upon your arrival to buy bread or coffee, and a great green environment with your own patio to enjoy the garden and the sun!
