“Perfect Honeymoon!”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2015

Villa Vahimanui is one of the best rental properties we have visited. The listing is very accurate and the web site photos are beautiful but just do not do the property justice. We loved everything about it : the beautiful deck, the air-conditioned bedroom, the cleanliness, the quiet and peacefulness, the proximity to Vaitape, the privacy, the stunning and majestic views ! The villa offered all the comforts of home away from home at no additional or hidden cost/charge. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all essential cooking supplies. Pierre (owner) was a tremendous help from the time we connected with him on Flipkey through his follow-up after we returned. He was responsive, encouraging and helpful in emailing and advising us on best ways to travel and make necessary arrangements. Nathalie and Barthelemy, his caretakers, are wonderful people and a delight to talk with. They know everything about Bora Bora. We enjoyed our time on Matira beach, which was never crowded, there was so much to do in the area (feeding the fish and snorkeling was a daily activity !!). If your desire is to escape the busy city life and pamper yourself in a scenic, relaxing, and tranquil environment, this should be your destination choice. We have already recommended the property to many of our friends. We would not hesitate to return again. Many thanks to Pierre, Nathalie and Barthelemy for sharing this marvelous vacation Villa!

“Amazing place and experience!”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2013

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house that had the best view of any that we have experienced! We could not have been more pleased when we walked in the door and immediately felt at home! Waking up every morning to the gorgeous lagoon and ocean view was just unbelievable! The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of the view. The house is well equipped, tastefully decorated and very clean. We cannot say enough nice things about the owner and his caretakers. They are very warm and kind people and did everything possible to ensure we had a wonderful vacation. They provided us with great suggestions and knowledge of the area making our stay that much enjoyable. We took a cruise around Bora Bora's idyllic lagoon (Manu Tour) and enjoyed amazing snorkelling spots. We saw turtles, stingrays and beautiful tropical fish and had a great picnic on "motu Fanfan"! It was one of the highlights of our trip to French Polynesia. We would highly recommend Villa Vahimanui to anyone. We really look forward to returning to this villa in the future. Thanks again for our unforgetable time!

Response from the owner Dear Antonella and Fabio! It is very nice of you to take the time to review our rental property. We have been renting our house for more than 7 years now and we have been very fortunate to share our "little paradise" with wonderful people like you! We work hard to keep everything in good working order which is not so easy in a tropical area. So it is very nice to hear it is appreciated! Thank you so much for your nice review! My very best regards. Pierre

“Beautiful home in Paradise!”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2013

Our stay at Villa Vahimanui was simply outstanding! Before we arrived, we received excellent instructions from Pierre -the owner- who was a pleasure to work with. He was more than helpful and wanted to make sure everything would be perfect for our stay. Everything we needed and more was at our disposal in the villa: comfortable furniture, Wifi & Hdtv, air condition in the master bedroom and a fully stocked kitchen. This home was just as beautiful as the pictures of Flipkey web-site depicted. Since we were there for a rest and relaxation trip, we spent a lot of time on the large balcony and experienced amazing sunsets! The views are priceless and the location is ideal! My husband said:" it's champagne and caviar view!" Getting around Bora Bora was very easy. We rented Pierre's car and saved a lot of money. We were able to explore all of the areas of the island and loved having the tourist information sent by Pierre.Thank you so much for making our stay most memorable! We can't wait to return... a true gem!

“Private quiet Hillside Paradise with amazing Sunsets from inside”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Vahimanui!!! The Villa was very well equipped and we were totally comfortable during our stay. The Internet worked perfectly & it was nice to have the Dvds, Music & books available for our relaxation when we were not out and about. Pierre's advance explanation was extremely helpful for us to be prepared in so many ways! We enjoyed shopping with the locals at the market and exploring the island with the freedom of having the car transportation. Which made our visit to Bora Bora much more in depth than we could have ever have had staying on a Motu Resort. Many of the visiting couples we talked to felt very isolated and definitely were missing so many of our experience's. The view from the Villa is truly breathtaking! We got used to the many stairs pretty quickly and my husband is amazing at parking so he had no problem parking in the car park. His years driving and parking in San Francisco was good training! Nathalie took excellent care in preparing the "spotless" Villa for our arrival and picking us up exactly on time. Once we arrived at the Villa Nathalie took us directly up to show us around and gave us personal instruction on use of the villa. She offered to assist us if we needed anything to make our visit more enjoyable right through to our on time departure back to the Ferry dock where we waved farewell! We noticed during our travels around the island that the locals tend to be a bit relaxed in their work ethic but you are lucky to have found a gem having Nathalie & Barthemey as your caretaker's & guest liaison's!!! Certainly a fantastic destination in "Paradise". Perfect location for our 28th anniversary, It was a very "Special & Memorable" stay on Bora Bora! Ps- We too were concerned about wiring the rental payment overseas to a foreign country as you are warned not to do! But as with everything else stated in these reviews & in several advance emails to & from Pierre in preparation for our trip we had no problem's!!

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your kind words! I am very glad that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Vahimanui. Your kind words are the best reward I can receive! It would be a pleasure to see you again one day on Bora Bora. All the best to you both! Warm regards. Pierre

“Traumurlaub in schöner Umgebung”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

“The Villa and the panorama is outstanding”

Reviewed 18 May 2012

For many years we had a dream Bora Bora. Finally we made it happen and found the wonderful Villa in Faanui /Bora Bora via internet. The Villa itself is a wonderful house on the hill with outstanding panorma overlooking the fascinating Lagoon. The Villa has a well equipped kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom (2 beds) a large living room (one double bed) and a beautiful covered Terrasse. There is a small beach in walking distance. However a car is a must as most of the shops are about 15 - 20 minutes drive from the Villa as well as the beautiful Matira Beach and Restaurants. We have booked this Villa for two weeks. We have enjoyed it very much. Everything was well organized by the owner from the beginning to the end. The owner is professional, reliable and acts quickly. We can highly recommend this beautiful Villa.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your kind review! I am very happy you enjoyed Villa Vahimanui and Bora Bora! It is a real pleasure for me to share this little paradise and I do my best to meet the expectations of our guests. Thank you again and I hope you can come back soon to enjoy the beauty of Bora Bora and its lagoon! Warm regards. Pierre

“Best lodging deal on the island”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2010

We stayed at this villa for two weeks and had a wonderful time. For the price, I think it is the best deal on the island. Eating out is expensive and we saved a lot of money by being able to shop at the grocery store and have meals at home some of the time. It was often more convenient, private and pleasant to have our meals, particularly breakfast, on the large dining table on the porch with a stunning view of the lagoon. We spent quite a lot of time on that porch. It was always cool and shaded. It often had a nice breeze, but it never got too windy, even when it was very windy right down on the road. The house sometimes got a little warm in the afternoons, but the porch was always pleasant. Everything cooled down enough at night for sleeping, sot the aC in the one bedroom was not really necessary, but a nice plus. The house is set up from the road far enough that there is almost no road noise. It is within sight of the airport, but we almost never heard the planes. The view is gorgeous and the location is convenient. I was able to have one of the dive companies pick me up on "our" dock so I didn't have to drive to go diving that day. I think you get a lot more for your money staying in a house than in a motel or even in one of those overwater bungalows. Those things look cute, but are pretty small and set very close together. We liked our big two bedroom house with its huge airy porch much better. Be warned that the driveway is steep and scary at first. And parking is challenging up there. I got used to it pretty quickly and was soon an expert parker. Just don't rent a big car. Andif you are troubled by mosquitos on the porch (mostly early morning and evenings), they sell those mosquito coils in town. They worked well enough for me that I never had to spray bug stuff on myself. I just sat near the coil, read my book and enjoyed the view. Lovely.
