“Best spot in Positano”
My wife and I stayed for a week in Villa le Sirene in august. We had never been to the amalfi coast before, but were looking forward to the scenery, the food and village life. Our stay in Positano exceeded our expectations. Chiara and her husband met us in town and sent a porter for our bags (much appreciated as the steps in Positano are steep!). The villa was spotless on arrival and very cool compared to the august heat. We felt right at home - partly due to the comfortable villa and partly due to our hosts' welcome. The villa itself is in an amazing location. Views from the balcony drop right down to the church in the centre square and the sea front. Restaurants all around Positano fight for the very view that greets you here right outside the room! We opted to by local food from the shop just down the street and eat in most nights - simply because no restaurant could match our view! We also had access to the garden which was loaded with egg plant, tomatoes, lemons, basil... all for the taking. We never went without fresh food - this was such a nice touch. Even the walkway to the villa is spectacular... covered in bougainvillaea in the summer and with an open view to the village and sea. A great place to pause (if it's not too hot!). Positano itself is pricey on the beach, but other beaches nearby are quite reasonable. Fornillo is a short walk and is half the price. Other activities are easily accessible. We walked the Path of the Gods to Praiano, visited amalfi, Maiori, Minori and enjoyed our time on both land and sea. It's difficult to say what we liked best as we had such a great time in a lovely villa, great location with friendly, helpful hosts. The only thing we can claim to dislike is the heat - but that's what happens in august in Italy! We certainly didn't have a shortage of sunshine. All in all one of the best places we've ever stayed. We hope to come back soon.
A group of 5 of us ladies stayed here at the end of June and we loved Villa le Sirene!! The location was fantastic (despite the 197 steps down to the beach) and the view couldn't be beat! The owners could not have been nicer and brought us produce from their garden and even tiramisu! The service was impeccable - they even supplied a cellphone for us to use when we were there. We loved everything about it and plan to return next June.
“Couldn't Have Been Better!”
My family of four (children aged 9 & 6) spent the last week of a month-long vacation in Europe at Villa Le Sirene in Positano, and we definitely feel that we saved the best for last! As other reviewers have said, the villa far exceeded the photos. It was very spacious, clean, well equipped, well maintained and beautiful, and the views from the terrace, bedroom and even the kitchen were absolutely amazing! Sitting on the terrace you feel almost suspended in the heart of the picturesque town of Positano and able to capture all the sights, sounds, and even a wedding or two at the cathedral below. We spent much of our time gazing out at the view, and enjoyed meals outside as well. The villa is perfectly situated to make everything in Positano accessible within a short walk. Chiara was very helpful and responsive during our booking process and recommended drivers and other conveniences that might come in handy. We hired a driver to take us from Naples to Positano and then also to Pompeii for an excursion another day. There were also little things Chiara and Guiseppe did to go above and beyond our expectations. For instance, our travel day to Positano from Umbria had been quite long and we were all very hungry when we arrived. Chiara and Guiseppe had a welcome basket waiting for us in the villa filled with snacks and fruit. They also arranged to have porters carry our luggage to and from the villa on our travel days. They were courteous, warm and friendly, but not intrusive at all. Overall our stay in Positano couldn't have been better. We were delighted to find the beautiful Villa Le Sirene exceeded our expectations on all fronts and we would love to return in the future. We highly recommend this villa.
We spent an amazing 11 nights here to celebrate my 40th birthday. We spent the first 5 nights in the smallest apartment (Sirene 2)and the next 6 nights in Sirene 1 (this had not been available for our whole stay). Both apartments were fabulous with the most spectacular views over Positano from the balconies. The owners made us so welcome, leaving wine on arrival, baking us cakes, leaving little gifts of biscuits etc. We had access to the garden where we could pick fresh tomatoes and herbs daily. The location is lovely, there are a lot of very steep steps but this just works off all the lovely food you eat! We had an idyllic holiday and felt like we were living as locals by the end of it! We loved Villa Le Sirene so much that we've been a bit reluctant to write this review as we wanted to keep it our little secret!
“Breathtaking views with lots of space”
The villa was fantastic. Plenty of room to live and sleep. We spent most of our time on the balcony - really large (there are 5 of us); morning sun; great views; etc. The kitchen is very well equipped for those inlcined to cook. The villa very comfortable - we didnt turn the ac on at all. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We had a great time staying here.
“Fantastic villa & location!”
We stayed in this Villla, whilst in Postitano for my daughters wedding, the villa itself was huge and was located in a fantastic spot. The owners were really inviting and gave us a fabulous welcome into Positano. Everyone who saw the villa were very impressed with it because it was so huge inside and the decor was beautiful. It was much nicer staying there than at an hotel
“Fabulous, pictures don't do it justice”
What a fabulous, roomy apartment on the cliffs of Positano! The views are spectacular and the apartment is clean and well appointed. Everything you could want and a porter to carry your luggage up and down the numerous stairs!
“Loved Villa Le Sirene - A Dream Location To Be Sure”
We stayed at the Villa Le Sirene for two weeks from the end of May to June and absolutely loved every minute. Chiara, the owner, was extremely helpful from the time we began to consider the property and was accurate and very honest about every detail.Short of finishing our review in more detail, I would highly recommend the Villa Le Sirene if you're seeking a beautiful space and amazing view of Positano, in a home filled with a loving peaceful atmosphere, and conveniently located just close enough from everything you'd want access to, as well as being slightly tucked away so that you can enjoy your privacy in a sanctuary like setting. It is very close to great nearby restaurants, as well as very safe, with locked access to the grounds, where you are greeted with a beautiful flowered garden walkway. Chiara helped make our stay an absolute pleasure, from the moment we entered the Villa, with a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit that we enjoyed for several days. Whatever inquiries we made were handled quickly and without hesitation and if needed she was only minutes from the Villa. Chiara recommended a private driver which we would also highly recommend to other visitors. His name is Vincenzo and he helped make our travels to Naples, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, Ravello, Nocelle, Montepertusa, Amalfi, Praiano, Paestum - (Greek Temples) an absolute pleasure, introducing us to many little treasures along the way including great restaurants which were always amazing, a Lemoncello factory that has the best tasting Lemoncello on the coast, Mamma agata's Cooking School in Ravello, a Olive Oil factory with an incredible variety of top quality olive oils, a buffalo mozzerella dairy with the freshest cheese, and many more. When you first arrive, spend some time with Christine Ornelas, a local guide, who will, in a couple of hours provide you with a wonderful introduction to Positano and give you an orientation that would take many days to accomplish on your own. Ciaoo!
