Description
The Walnut Nest is a large bright three bedroom flat within Casapina, a villa ideally located between central Rome and the much sought after seaside and night life resort of Ostia.
Situated half way between Fiumicino and Ciampino, both approximately half an hour drive away, it is close to the ancient port town of Ostia Antica with its Roman ruins and theatre still boasting a rich calendar of events (operas, live concerts and plays).
The flat consists of an entrance alley with a small portico outside, fully equipped kitchen plus a wood burning oven, a large dining area with open fire and a spacious and comfortable sitting room, two bathrooms both with own toilet and shower, one double room with double bed, one twin room and one family room with a double bed and bunk beds as well as a changing area.
The property offers 24h free wi-fi connectiion and while it is ideal for drivers (with Rome's ring road just a few minutes away, day-trips are at hand to places like Tivoli, Tarquinia, Aquila, Florence or Naples) it is also extremely well connected to the City Centre.

“Fabulous location and accommodation”
We stayed in the Walnut Nest for 10 days, 4 adults in a nice big house equipped with everything you could wish for and extremely spacious and comfortable with air con. Maurizio received us very well when we arrived and had even prepared an emergency welcome basket with staple stuff such as bread, pasta, biscuits and his own jam ! He had milk in the fridge for us and eggs and butter and even a few beers and a bottle of his own wonderful wine, made by him ! He showed us round and gave us tonnes of useful information about the area and stuff to see. We drove from the UK, so we had our own transport . Parking is outside the property and is safe and always available . The apartment is a few minutes walk from shops and bus stops. Central Rome is 40 minutes drive and the beach is less than half an hour by car . We visited lots of sites and went to the beach almost every day , the location of the property is ideal as a base to explore and enjoy. Internet was good too, we have all loved it and do not hesitate to recommend it. Maurizio is an excellent host, kind and helpful and speaks faultless English ! Lives round the comer and is always keen to help! We will definitely be back to this fascinating city . Luisa Sousa and family
