Very Good

“Wonderful - you will not go wrong here!”

Reviewed 13 Nov 2013

This place was really great as was Villa Sapphire another of Dave's villas that we stayed at, the design, the décor and the integration with nature and the topical island environment was spot on. As previously mentioned the photo's are good but the real thing is better. Dave picked us up, sorted out moped hire, advised us etc etc everything really easy and good - quality service. Tops!!

“Beautiful villa, tranquil and what you need after Bangkok!”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2012

The villa is a perfect retreat. Lovely lay-out with the open air living area. Pool amazing after a sticky day. Friendly fish and turtles in your very own pond. David is a really nice guy and picked us up to depart for our return very early in the morning when I'm sure he would have liked to have stayed in bed! Thank you David, we will definately be returning.

“I don't need a Sentance one word will do "outstanding"”

The villa itself was perfection the location was quiet and Peacefull with nearby restaurants, bike and car hire and Internet access liked Everthing disliked nothing when I go on holiday the usual comment is"very good" but !!! This time there were no buts

“Superb accomodation and service”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2012

We stayed for a period of 12 days over Christmas. The owner of the villa (David) personally picked us up at the airport and took us to the villa which was a 30 min drive. He's a great guy and was always available when we needed something. The place looks exactly like on the pictures. Very spacious and nice, beautiful pool, great TV with lots of English channels and good sound system. The only concern we had was the bed which we found a little bit too hard for us. I particularly liked the fact of the living room being surrounded by a pond with fish and turtles in it. We got to feed them every day and the smallest turtle climbed out to sit in the sun for a few hours every single day which was very cute. The outside area around the pool is also gorgeous. We were very unlucky with the weather as we had 10 days of rain (in the dry season!!). Unfortunately I have to say that there is little to see on this island in rainy weather. Most activities are outdoors or boattrips. No great temples to visit like you would find on the main land. You can basically drive around the island in less than 2 hours. Because of the bad weather we eventually hired a car from David, he gave us a very good deal with that as well. The location of the villa is very nice but also very quiet. There are two very good and cheap restaurants 50 meters away and a nice beach bar about 5 min walk but that's about it. The Tiger zoo and butterlfy garden are each about 10 min walking as well. I would recommend hiring a car as this enables you to get around more, go into town, supermarket etc and also enjoy the peacefullness of the Villa. All in all a great place to stay, I definitely recommend it !!

“Sooo relaxing!”

Reviewed 22 Dec 2011

If you want to do some serious chilling out and not have to venture far from your own pool and villa, then bookthis. There are lovely restaurants and bars on your doorstep and after a taxi round the island you have seen it all! Fantastic villa and location for total relaxation.

“Lovely villa in remote and nice location”

We loved the house and the service. Very much and nice details. Awesome livingroom, beautifull pool and large kitchen. Nice restaurants in the village. Just walk 6min to the butterfly hotel and get a daypass (250/pax) for their beach and pool which you can fully reimburse at their beach restaurant

“Relaxing and Independant”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2011

The Hideaway Villa was relaxing in its surroundings and gave us an independance to do what we wanted when we wanted. The location was great and it was good to be off the main tourist area, but close enough to see everything.

“A private place to relax and unwind”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2011

Hideaway Villa is only 400 yards or so from the sea. It is completely enclosed so that it has total privacy. It is located in the south east corner of Koh Samui, the quietest aras being the south and west coasts. It would be a good idea to rent a car or a motorbike so that you can visit the beaches on the west coast, go up into the hills and do the shopping. There are two perfectly acceptable restaurants within yards of the villa, the Baracuda and the Fishermen's outlet, both of which are excellent value. The best restaurant on the island is probably the Five Islands on the west coast. The villa itself met expectations. It will accommodate two couples but is ideal for one. The pool is a good size. There was a problem with the cleaning system during part of out stay but this did not detract significantly from our enjoyment of it. The kitchen is obviously designed by a man. While it has a number of cupboards, it has no drawers and is not particularly well equipped for cooking. This will not be a great disadvantage to most people, however, when it is so hot and there are two good restaurants just around the corner. It is certainly true to say that the owner did try very hard to meet any request that we made. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and there is plenty of hanging space. Our bed was hard but this is clearly preferable to a soft bed in such a hot climate. The shower room works well although it could do with a bit of ventilation. The towels and bed linen are changed every three days which is excellent in this climate. The overall design of the villa works well. There are basically four areas: bedroom/shower/bathroom, kitchen, outdoor sitting/eating area with TV and pool area. The owner has good taste and the two outside areas are beautifully lit. The owner looked after us well and, overall, this villa is good value for money if you are looking for privacy and a bit of peace and quiet.

“Exactly as we'd hoped for and more!”

We choose to stay at Hideaway Villa because of its proximity to our friend's wedding location, it was the best decision we made. The property is just a beautiful as the images on the Peaceful Villas website and does not disappoint. There was more than enough space for my partner and I, laying by the pool in the afternoon's was so relaxing. There is even turtles in the koi fish pond that surrounds the outdoor area. An outdoor tele with satellite TV was my partner's dream come true! David and his assistant were so helpful during our stay and ensured we had nothing to worry about, thank you for a great holiday (it was too short)!

“Fantastic Unique Villa”

Reviewed 12 Feb 2011

We booked this Villa to celebrate my husbands' 70th birthday. We have travelled exstensively throughout our 46 years of marraige, but have never found anywhere as unique as this. The reason being, your living area is open, you feel your outside all the time. We had a lot of heavy, heavy rain while we were there, and this room being open was just ideal, undercover but still outside. Loved feeding the fish everyday, which swam round the whole of house. From booking this Villa David was very helpful, answering the many questions we had. On arrival we asked for an ironing board, and noticed one of the lounge beds was burst, and the next day, board and 2 new beds were delivered. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, this is the place. We used the Barracuda restaurant, just round the corner, lovely staff, meals, got a few carry outs, they did all our laundry, got us taxis and would also rent out scooters. Everything is so laid back here.
