“Perfect with comforts of home”
My fiancé and I stayed in the one bedroom condo for a week and loved it! The location was perfect, close to the lagoon part of the beach, which we prefer and steps away from restaurants, shops, the main supermarket and the bus stop. The condo has lots of little extras that are great to have such as beach chairs and sun umbrellas, books and even goodies to aid in cooking in the kitchen cupboards! The condo was a good size, light and airy with a large balcony and windows looking out to the beach. The owner, Thomas, was so lovely; he was there to welcome us and only a phone call away if we had any queries. Overall, the perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy Waikiki!
“Excellent stay at the Pacific Monarch One Bedroom”
We have never used vacation rental before because we have heard horror stories about vacation rentals until our friends told us about the location called Waikiki Banyan in Oahu. We thought we will then take a chance and looked for it and found Waikiki Banyan with Thomas Edwards through Tripadvisor but the room was not available for the dates we needed. Thomas suggested the Pacific Monarch one bedroom which is a block away to meet our family of 5 need (a family with two young children and my 70 yr old mother). Booking with Thomas was easy and he was very comforting to discuss the cost, parking and floors with either through email or phone calls (1-800 number). The final cost was the exact amount that we'd agreed to (and I paid using a bank draft and because I adhered to the rental rules/request which was a simple courtesy request to anyone who uses someone property (i.e. to leave the place clean and not damage the way you found it) in order to not incur an additional cleaning cost. If I own the condo, I would have made that simple request as Thomas did. There were no surprise hidden costs which I like very much. Thomas was always available for a phone call or an email. The free Wi-Fi and free phone call from the room to Canada was a bonus. The beds were firm. The linens and towels were clean. The place was clean and the required kitchen appliances were all one need as a home away from home. Customer service from Thomas Edwards - A+ plus !! My whole family gives Thomas Edwards' Pacific Monarch Studio a 5 star from cost to location to vacation rental owner and we have already mentioned this place to our friends and colleagues. We will definitely be back to Thomas Edwards for either Pacific Monarch or Waikiki Banyan next time we are in Oahu (wonder if Thomas has vacation rental in Maui as well ?). A big Mahalo/Thank you to Thomas Edwards for making our first visit to Hawaii and first time vacation rental user a pleasurable and memorable one. Regards, Sally and family
Response from the owner Thank you Sally for trusting me with you vacation accommodations to Honolulu. It was a pleasure to accommodate you in my one bedroom. I look forward to your future visits! thomas
“Wonderful accommodation at Pacific Monarch One Bedroom Condo”
Stayed in the one Bedroom Condo,it was great, everything that you needed was in this very Clean and tidy Condo. Close to the beach and the Main Waikiki area. The Balcony looking towards the Waikiki Beach was Great. It was an absolute delight to stay here and would highly recommend this for Condo. Thomas Edwards from Vacation Rentals could not have been more helpful and accommdating.
“Excellent condo suite and location!”
The booking process was painless, as well as the check-in and out. Thomas was very helpful with my inquiries too and very personable when I met him. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The size and layout was perfect for my mom and me - liked having the twin beds. Our favourite aspect of the suite was the fact we had air conditioning, despite it being a bit on the noisy side. I was also very glad to have free Wi-Fi. The condo is just 2 blocks from Waikiki Beach near the lagoon which is perfect for swimming. We never did use the outdoor pool on the top floor but the views were spectacular! I would highly recommend this condo suite to others. Thanks again, Thomas! :)
“Everything you need in a convenient location”
This studio unit was perfect for our 9 night stay in Waikiki. My mother and I arranged through Thomas for this unit and another (rented from the hotel at almost the exact same price) so that each of us could have our own space though we spent most of our time in Thomas' unit. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was sufficient for the two of us and the view not scary for mum who is afraid of heights (this unit was on level 9 and still provided a good view). Butter had been left in the fridge which was a lifesaver for cooking. Lots of towels and pillows were provided. I couldn't figure out how to get the wi-fi working but the hotel has free wi-fi on the roof. The shower was decent. We took some paper towels from the second unit as none were in here. The cups need a good scrubbing as some had milk stains on the bottom. The only real improvement we felt was needed was a fan, whether it would be a ceiling or pedestal. We don't like to sleep with the air-con on and leaving the veranda door open isn't really an option due to noise and security. The hotel is located in a perfect position being only a couple minutes walk to the beach. There can be a bit of noise at night but that's the price you pay to stay in such a good location. It's safe to walk to during the night and early morning. The rooftop pool and hot tub are fantastic and the Friday night fireworks can be seen from the roof. Honestly though, no place is perfect but we would we be very happy to stay here again. Thanks for making our stay easy Thomas!
