“Extraordinaire!”

Reviewed 4 May 2014

“Amazing venue - wedding of a lifetime!!!”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2013

We just got back from the trip of a lifetime and the wedding of a lifetime. I'm not quite sure I am able to put it into words. But, Chateau Lagorce was just perfect - it exceeded my expectations in beauty. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous venue. The pool! And, Anna and Edward were perfect hosts - invisibile (you really do feel like it's your place) but, present - when needed. Anna, specifically, was so lovely to work with - from our first email exchange to hugs and kisses on the last day. She made it so easy to plan a destination wedding from the States. And, we truly felt when we arrived as if we were at home with our closest friends and family. Anna and Edward not only made us feel at home but, our guests feel at home as well. Many of our guests - from the moment of their arrival - to the fireworks after our first dance - told us "okay - this is going to be hard to top!" and called us, jokingly, "Overachievers!" I also must say that the food was excellent. We are total foodies and we loved the chef, Claude! He made one of the best duck confits I have ever had. I honestly could go on and on - but, it's hard to put into words the best three days of your life shared with your closest friends and dearest family. Simply put - if you are looking for something truly special - this place is for you...

“A perfect venue for an intimate wedding”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2013

We stayed at chateau Lagorce this year to celebrate our wedding, we wanted a venue that could accommodate our friends and family for a holiday as well as cater for our wedding day and Chateau Lagorce done this perfectly. We had 40 guests stay with us for 3 days and some other friends stayed in nearby hotels. Everyone including ourselves were blown away by the venue, all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and suited all of our (modern day) needs, yet they retain their charm and character which is key to the place being so perfect. Many of the en-suite bathrooms have been refurbished which for me is always preferable when staying at an older venue. The chateau's location was great for us, there were places fairly nearby if people wanted to go visit them but to be honest most of our guest just made the most of the facilities on site, the swimming pool, boating on the lake, playing football and generally enjoying the grounds. In fact the only time we left the chateau was for a wine tour which was a 10 minute walk up the road and was absolutely fab... everyone came home with a lot of wine! Chateau Lagorce is an amazing place, made even better by the lovely Ed and anna who put in so much hard work to make the stay perfect. Anna in particular was an absolute star, she couldn't have been more helpful in co-ordinating everything we wanted for the wedding day and totally went along with every idea, no matter how quirky ;) The suppliers she recommended were great, we had no idea what to expect from the food as we hadn't done a tasting session before hand but it really was fantastic, the wine was lovely and the flowers exactly what I'd hoped for... the celebrant Michel was also amazing, he was funny yet sincere which was exactly what we were after, us and our friends absolutely loved him :) All in all chateau Lagroce was the perfect venue for our big day, we only wish we could have stayed longer than the 3 days we booked, we look forward to visiting again one day :)

“Magical Wedding Weekend...”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

We spent the first weekend of august 2013 at Chateau lagorce to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. It was the best weekend of my life! Anna and Edward organised everything perfectly so that we had nothing to worry about; we were able to relax and spend time with our guests...The chateau was amazing and the decor beautiful, such a gorgeous setting for a wedding. The food, wine, fireworks, photos, cake, flowers were all equally amazing. Guests commented on how they absolutely loved it. There is nothing I would change, chateau lagorce exceeded all expectations and I can't wait to go back one day...

“Incredible Fairytale French Chateau”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

We visited Chateau la Gorce at the beginning of September. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful and we had a fairy tale wedding all thanks to our amazing wedding planner, Anna. She was exceptional and made us feel instantly at ease. No request was too big. We were even able to bring our small dog along from the UK so that he could be a part of our special day. Her attention to detail is what makes her an excellent wedding planner. We loved the band, the wedding favours and the fireworks. All of these finishing touches made our day truly memorable. Chateau la Gorce really is a wonderful place. We loved the individually designed bedrooms and the recently renovated pool. The hot tub in the bridal suite is a great idea and the wet room is also fantastic. Separate to this, the building and the grounds are absolutely stunning and you can get lost in the beauty of the place. The weather was superb during our stay. We absolutely loved the local wine and bubbles. Our wedding meal was simply delicious and this is down to the amazing chef that anna arranged. We really felt like royalty during our stay and will definitely return! We can't wait until our next visit. You must visit this incredible place!

“Our fabulous wedding and holiday and Chateau Lagorce”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

We chose Chateau Lagorce for our wedding venue for many reasons. Not only for its exquisite décor and beautiful grounds, but also because the venue catered for our specific needs. 70+ guests for the wedding day and 50+ accommodated on site in 5* accommodation. Anna and Edward gave us flexibility to tailor our stay and wedding to exactly what you wanted and always dreamed of... and its exactly what we got. On arrival our guests were overwhelmed with the venue (they still are). It has been renovated to a very high standard whilst maintaining a traditional French ambiance and any Brides, grooms and guests will definitely feel lucky to have found such a place to have their amazing day. From wine tasting (which I highly recommend) to fishing there is something for all. When it comes to planning your wedding you can be rest assured anna will have it all in hand. Nothing is overlooked. On our wedding day July 2013, everything ran smoothly and that was mainly down to anna. Anna and Edward have very good taste, so a note to future brides... you can put your trust in them! The only thing I wish is that I could do it all again! We will certainly be going back for a group holiday.

“A memorable birthday experience”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2013

We spent a memorable 7 days celebrating a 70th birthday party with 20 guests. Looking for a chateau suitable for the occasion, we decided on Chateau Lagorce and were not disappointed. It exceeded our expectations with fabulous accommodation, a large outside patio area, huge kitchen where we prepared meals most nights and large living areas, everything we needed including a piano. Edward and anna were charming hosts, on hand to assist with any requests, arranging the caterers for the party and fireworks. As an extra bonus, the weather was wonderful, sunny days and warm evenings which allowed us to eat outdoors at night. We can highly recommend the chateau for any special occasion or just a relaxing holiday with friends. Wonderful memories with lots of photos, thank you so much

“Truly Magical - The Perfect Wedding Venue”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2012

We got married in Chateau Lagorce last month, with family and close friends, 32 in all. Words can't do justice to the wonderful time we had. Anna, the wedding planner is an angel, and was so amazing, I cannot thank her enough for everything. The chateau itself was beautiful, and well maintained, with stunning ensuite bedrooms with high quality linens and bedding, all modcons throughout and a fantastic kitchen. So much to do there, even in the three nights we stayed, we still didn't get to do everything. The wedding day itself was amazing, everything from the catering, flowers, hairstylist, music facilities, wine, fireworks and of course not to mention the photographer Mark, whose photographs were absolutely beautiful. A wonderful time had by all and lots of sad faces when we had to leave, but everyone is already planning a reunion trip back. There is a magic in the air, and we will never, ever forget the wonderful wedding we had and I cannot recommend this venue enough for the wedding of your dreams.

“Our Wedding”

Reviewed 2 May 2012

We found the Chateau at last minute. We were looking for a venue for our wedding and we had and were several chateaus across the wets/south of France. At very short short notice one venue cancelled on us and we were franically looking for another location to tie into our trip. We found Lagorce and contacted them imediatly. even at last minute they were more than happy to show us around. Once we got there the place was simply stunning. The Chateau is deceptivley large and is in some of the most beautiful countrside in France. To put it blunty we fell in love with the place and all other bets were off. My wife to be and I decided pretty much on the spot that this was where we were going to have our wedding. in the run up to the wedding and during the planning Edward and anna made us feel in control and there was nothing to big for them to handle. During the three days we were there the same rule applied. they were always there to help us when we needed them but were never intrusive or in the way. On the big day itself they were the calm in the storm and had everything under control. There are not enough words in the english language for me to describe how amazing this place is or how happy we are with the couple who run it. I fully endorse the venue for not only a wedding but as a place to visit. My family is diverse in it's various locations, from the us and UK to the Middle East and the Phillipines and we are already contemplating having our get togethers at Lagorce in the future. Of the 10 Chateaus we visited this one in it's elegance and beauty one hands down. It's large, comfortable and welcoming and the decor is kept perodic, subtle but with all the Mod Cons. Each room could easily be used as a bridal suite as the standards are that high for such a reasonable price. The best part about the Chateau is by far anna and Edward. Will andd Hannah Harding
