Description

This farmhouse (Saturday Farm) is a joy and it's everything you'd hope for - a hammock, swing, picnic tables, sheep, flowers, games, a porch, a sun room, and just less than 1/2 mile to 3 different Nantucket Sound beaches. There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and an outdoor shower. And this little 1/2 acre farm puts out a whole crop of Saturdays! Enjoy lush gardens and lots of privacy. There is a wonderful wooden swing and a double-wide cotton hammock for relaxing.

Sea View Park is just 1/3 mile away. It includes Sea View Beach, walking trails, a children's play area and gardens. It is just 1/2 mile to 2 other beaches - Belmont and Sea Street Beach and just a little further to many more beaches. The Harwich Conservation Land is just over 1/2 mile away; here there are hundreds of acres of bike trails, lakes, rivers and ponds and cranberry bogs.

Wonderful restaurants are nearby like Ocean House and The Oyster Company, in addition to fish and chips, pizza and ice cream

In the fall and winter the fireplace is available and in the summer the outdoor fire pit is a treat. There are 2 small, lovable sheep on the property. They are our quiet lawnmowers. They are very child friendly. We're happy to share them with your family or if you'd be more comfortable if we did not let them graze while you are there, we are okay with that too. We can arrange a wagon ride from the Baa Boys upon request. As far as we know, they are the world's only wagon pulling sheep and can pull over 200 pounds.

We will prepare the house beautifully for your arrival and provide the key to your own private Cape Cod week of Saturdays. You will not be working with a management company - only the owners (Cindy and Harry). Your enjoyment and comfort is what we are working toward.

Light, roomy and relaxing, the living room, sun room and den provide several seating areas and an extensive library of books, movies, and board games. You can enjoy sunning or reading outside on one of the many Adirondack chairs where there are fragrant flowers in the front yard and backyard gardens. Outdoor games and a picnic table is placed for a great family picnic. (Additional folding tables are available.)

This house has been an inspiration for artists and photographers.

Linens are provided, but a $200 credit off of list price is given if you bring your own linens or rent from Essential Rentals.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your nice review. I'm sorry you ended up experiencing the heatwave for your short weekend stay... On the other hand, better Cape Cod than Boston! I'm not sure what you mean by 'partly enclosed' outdoor shower and I want to clarify because I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. It has 4 fully enclosed walls and it is very close to the house. It is open at the top but quite covered with a dense vine. There are also a few inches open at the very bottom, so people might see your feet. I'm going to try to make sure there is a photo on this site. We hope to see you again soon. Cindy and Harry

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Cindy (the owner) a message.

If Cindy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
