This Craftsman style home (built circa 1910) is the perfect place to enjoy a private, romantic holiday. Or, bring the kids for a fun-filled (and educational) vacation. The rich history of the glorious mining days and the Old Oregon Trail is very much alive in Baker City. Visit ghost towns, see the actual wagon ruts from the gold rush days and watch daily programs demonstrating what it was like traveling West in a covered wagon at the Old Oregon Trail Interpretive Center (6 miles).
This vacation home has been lovingly updated with all the modern conveniences and is very clean and comfortable. Enjoy dining (or just relaxing) on your private, partially covered deck. Bring your pole and fish in the Powder River, less than 1/2 block away. Let your cares drift away with the water as you stroll along the river on the newly opened Leo Adler Memorial Parkway. This is a wonderful paved walking trail accessed just a few houses down. It follows the Powder River and provides a unique and relaxing route to the library, park, museum or sports complex across town.

“charming bungalow steps from main street”
Excellent location and charming bungalow! Came for Shriners East-West Football game and enjoyed our stay at Baker City Bungalow. Located 2 blocks off main street, we parked the car and walked all around town. Enjoyed the walking/bike path along the Powder River that connected us to parks both to the north and south of the home. Look forward to coming again!
Response from the owner We would love to welcome you back for next year's game or anytime you need a getaway. We're really glad you enjoyed your stay!!
“Great place, location, and price”
The house is exactly as advertised - large enough for a family but comfortable. It is located one block from the center of Baker City and right in the middle of all activities during the Miners Jubilee Celebration .. very easy access to Bronc and Bull riding event, the City Park and downtown Baker City ...
Response from the owner Thank you, Brad! We really enjoyed having you as our guests at the bungalow and look forward to your next visit! - Baker City Bungalow
We were pleased with the rental, and loved the location. We have two children, so the two bedrooms is what made us choose this over a hotel, even though it was a little more expensive. It was so much less stressfull to have your own kitchen, living space, and even back patio. There are several movies in the cupboard, and we had everything we needed. There is even a grill. The $50 cleaning charge seems kind of high, but overall, it made our weekend to have such a nice place to stay, so it was worth the extra coin.
“Back in Time”
I loved my time in Kaye's Cottage. Baker City is one of the old west's best kept secrets. I found the cottage to be comfortable and charming. I loved waking up in this cozy little neighborhood and walking just two blocks to the downtown historical district for my breakfast.I will be booking again in august because something just keeps calling me back.
