“Wonderful!!!”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2013

My husband and I spent two great weeks in the Ciliegia apartment in Minori this past September. The open and airy apartment was immaculate, had everything we needed for our stay and the staff was very good when we needed assistance. Yes, there really are 120 steps but very doable, the first week, we rested a few times before we got to the top floor, but the view was just fantastic..and the apartment is right over the ice cream store!!! The beach in Minori was wonderful, we rented chaises. The beach "joints" alll had great lunches!!! Minori was the best little town we visited - it did have its share of tourists but it seemed to have more locals than the rest --- wonderful to see the townsfolk all walking down the promenade every evening and loved watching the local kids play soccer until the lights went out! Apartment was wonderful and so was the Town.

“Excellent location, clean & good value”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2013

This apartment is very clean, furnished in Ikea style. Franco was very helpful getting us checked in and oriented. The location is excellent, situated right near the beach. There is a lovely view of the sea from the front of the apartment, and a lovely view of the cathedral from the back. Four of us stayed here (2 adults and 2 children ages 4 and 6) and we were very comfortable. Things you need to know about Ciliegia. - You need to climb 124 steps to get to the apartment, if you're in good shape it's no big deal but you will struggle to carry a heavy suitcase! - It can be a bit noisy at night because the bars/cafes near the apartment stay open pretty late. Be aware that if you stay here during the annual "Minori White" celebration you will be kept awake till 4.30am by extremely loud DJ music from the beach. - The bed in the bedroom is very firm. My wife found it very uncomfortable. The pullout sofabed was actually more comfortable. - The parking situation is very difficult to navigate, especially if you have a larger car. Our rental car was damaged in this lot, both by someone else, and by us! - The beach in front of the apartment is wonderful, especially good for young kids. There is a gentle surf and the water stays shallow fairly far out. - The infinity pool is absolutely stunning, probably the most beautiful setting I've ever seen for a swimming pool. Just be aware that the walk along the road to the pool can be a bit terrifying. - Talk to the travel agency in town to book some unique, smaller tours. We booked a small boat one day which toured the coast up to Positano, stopping at the Grotta dello Smeraldo. Only 8 people on the boat, it was great. - We found everyone in Minori to be super friendly and helpful, we had an amazing vacation here and recommend Minori, and Ciliegia, to anyone.

“Wonderful time!!!”

Ciliegia, a one bedroom apartment in the center of Minori, right across the street from the beach. From the apartment, one can hear the waves crashing on the shore. Wonderful location. Nicely decorated and renovated, on the fourth floor of an old building. Good exercise by climbing, up and down, every day (avoid this place if you mind stairs). The wireless internet service worked very well. Also if one does not want to go to the beach, you get access to a gorgeous pool (more steps to climb though), located at another of the properties, about 1 km away, following the road to amalfi. Franco, Norma and Vincenzo, who all work for amalfi vacation, were wonderful. Emails were promptly responded to. Quiet and pleasant little village. Lots of hiking trails around. Don't miss the climb up the steps to Ravello. The views are not to be missed. Good little café in the same building. September was a lovely month to visit the amalfi coast. I will rent this property again in the near future. I absolutely loved it.

I booked this appartment for my husband and my 2 children who are in Italy at present and this is what they had to say. Beautifully appointed appartment, very close to the beach, clean and freshly decorated. I made the booking for them from australia. Booking the appratment directly from australia was very easy. A few emails and a couple of phone calls. The staff, Vincenzo especially, was extremely helpfull trying to fit within our schedule and finding us two lovely properties, one in Minore and another one in amalfi. We will definitely go back there again.

“Excellent vacation on amalficoast”

It was one of the best vacation for all time. We had rent Ciligea for the almost one month in June. The apartment is really good, situated very close to the beach. Nearby there are many little shops with food and restaurants. We were travelling with little child and we had no problems with meal for her. The staff is very friendly. In case of any problems, questions somebody assisted us promptly.

“Great apartment in a lovely town”

This apartment was fantastic and everything we needed for our few days in Minori. The beds were comfortable, was clean and amalfi Vacation were very welcoming and friendly. There were beautiful views across to the beach and sea, and it was perfectly located for all the bars and restaurants etc. My one criticism would be there was a little bit of noise late at night from the pizza bar down the side of the building but we managed to sleep through this.

“1st class from origial enquiry through to our departure, everyth”

Everything about our stay in the apartment was wonderful, the staff very helpfull, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had washing powder for the washing machine and dishwasher, also extras like tea, sugar etc, which is a bonus when you dont have to buy all this for just a weeks stay and no car.The views were wonderful and the location was perfect, close to the bus stop and great for local walks. The infinity pool we were able to use was a bonus, it is a short walk away and also owned by amalfication, we spent 3 perfect afternoons there. A 5 star holiday

“A piece of perfection!”

i travelled to minori with my husband and 7-month old baby. we had never been to the amalfi coast. were we ever in for a treat! besides the fact that october 2011 had the hottest temps the coast has seen in october in 150 yrs, but the apartment was splendid! we arrived by car, and were promptly met at a cafe to get the key. someone even parked the car for us! we walked up the 120 steps to get to the apartment overlooking the sea - gorgeous views! breathtaking! unobstructed! we quickly learned that walking up 120 steps just meant we could justify eating more pasta each day! :) the apartment is clean, neat, smells nice, is well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, stove, freezer, fridge, books to read, etc). a crib and linens were even on site to welcome our baby boy - at no extra charge! the sofa is a fold-out bed - perfect for lounging. the cafe downstairs is to die for! in the town, there are plenty of little stores where you can buy fresh produce/fish/milk/diapers. we walked to ravello (a must for walking!!! gorgeous scenery, but challenging), maiori and amalfi. this was with a baby either strapped onto us or with us pushing a stroller. totally doable! the beach is literally 120 steps down, and about 50 steps in front of you. the water is clear, clean, and the beach is well maintained. maybe think to bring water sandals if you don't want to be stepping on the rocks. i went swimming almost every day - along with our baby. we also had access to an infinity pool, about 10 minutes walk away. it is well worth the walk - the view is stunning and the pool area is secluded and cozy! if you look up, you see the lemon groves. if you look down, you see the sea! all in all, i will recommend this place to anyone travelling to italy, whether they initially planned on going to the amalfi coast or not! ;) ...and i'm looking forward to our next trip there! thank you!
