“Amazing”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2015

Felt very welcomed with Anna and Aziz there to meet us at on arrival at Paradise. What an amazing property! Have stayed at many places in Fiji and several houses but this was beyond expectation. The views are to die for, houses great, and in such a serene spot! So close to the Coral Coast Resorts if you wish to utilise their facilities or just chill at Paradise on the veranda overlooking the coast or enjoying the plunge pool. Anna cooked us a great chicken curry for dinner one night however the supermarket is very close if you wish to do your own cooking in the fully equipped kitchens. There are also some local restaurant options for the budget conscious. Aziz offered to take the boys out fishing but we just ran out of time. We stayed 4 nights and will definitely stay more next time. Vinaka Eeva, Anna and Aziz.

Response from the owner Bula!! Thank you for staying and for submitting your review. It's so helpful to hear what guests love and do at the property. Next time I hope you can go fishing :) I try to give an honest realistic description of Paradise, and I'm so glad when the property exceeds guest expectations! Yay! Please come back, Ana and Aziz are really missing you!

“Amazing view, delightful Cottage - everything you need in PARADISE!”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2015

I am a frequent traveller to Fiji. I have stayed in resorts from 2 star up to 5 star as well as two other different homestays and, for me, Paradise Fiji surpasses them all. Resorts can be found anywhere in the world. A genuine holiday in Fiji = Paradise Fiji. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Ana followed not long after by a visit from the happy faced, helpful Aziz. Thankfully Ana had the airconditioner on ready for our weary arrival. When I walked out on the balcony for the first time I couldn't believe the amazing view. I can't remember how many times I said "Awesome" the first 24 hours I was there. The view is amazing. You can see nearly the entire coastline, the islands in the distance and the lush tropical greenery surrounding the property was pristine. The sounds were equally as enjoyable as the view. Even from where we were up on the hill we could clearly hear the waves continually crashing and of course the sound of the wildlife was just beautiful. Eeva, Ana and Aziz have thought of everything. A lovely dining table and daybeds on the balcony to relax. A flatscreen tv, dvd's, stereo, reading books, magazines and even your own washing machine and dryer! The bed was very comfortable, linen and towels were always lovely and clean. Hot water was always available (this is not always the case in Fiji haha). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook your own meals. The plunge pool was crystal clear, perfect for a little glass of wine while relaxing in the pool watching the different shades in the sky and on the ocean as the sun went down. As guests of Paradise Fiji I hired a nice little car from Coastal Rental which was at a fantastic "guests of Paradise Fiji" rate, including full insurance which was another weight off my mind. A car really is handy, the road and driveway up to the property is approximately 1 kilometre and reasonably steep. Taxi's are affordable however having my own car meant that a quick trip into the market in Sigatoka was no fuss at all....and that was only if the supermarket just down the bottom of the road didn't have exactly what I needed. There are 4 major resorts and a few local cafes/restaurants within a few minutes drive if you want to eat out or are looking for a relaxing massage. A big thank you to Aziz and Ana who made our stay feel like we were truly at home. Nothing was too much trouble.....Ana even cooked for us a couple of nights when we were too tired after snorkeling at the nearby reefs. I really wish we could have stayed at least another week longer. Everything was just perfect. Honestly the most relaxing week of holidays I have ever spent. I will definitely be back very soon. Vinaka vaka levu!!!

Response from the owner Vinaka vaka levu for your review and your stay with us at Paradise Fiji. I'm grateful for an honest review from a traveller who knows they are at a holiday home and not a resort. It does give you a genuine experience of the 'real Fiji' with some luxuries :) We can't wait to see you again! Love from Eeva, Ana and Aziz.

“Beutiful, relaxing, accomodating”

I’m not sure what we've done more of, scream Bula out the car window, stare at the beautiful view from your balcony or pick up random people on the side of the road and give them lifts :) The house was easy to find, had everything you’d need and definitely a good choice. We stayed at the Outrigger afterwards and were yearning to return to the house on the hill, so much more relaxed, so much more personal. SUPERB!

Response from the owner Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed your 'True Fiji Experience'. I'm glad that staying at the house gave you a chance to meet locals and to do things that resorts don't offer. We miss you and can't wait to see you again! Vinaka, Eeva, Aziz and Ana :)

“Awesome!!!”

Bula Eeva. I just wanted to thank you. We had an amazing Easter weekend. The house was great. The views were breathtaking. Amelia was very gracious. And we loved the fact that the house was equipped with utensils and hand towels and extra blankets. There were a few glitches with the electricity and the bathroom plumbing, but overall, it was great. Thanks again :)

Response from the owner Thank you so much Jyotishma for your review! We loved having you stay! You have a gorgeous family and I"m glad you were able to spend Easter with us! Vinaka, Eeva and your staff at Paradise Fiji xo

“Stunning views, two houses, plunge pool and amazing furniture!”

Reviewed 19 Feb 2014

We absolutely loved staying here! The best things were the stunning views, the amazing Fijian furniture and the privacy of having the entire property to ourselves. Two of us stayed in the studio cottage. It had an amazing rope bridge to the pool and it was fun to use! The rest of us (5 people) of us stayed in the two bedroom house. We loved our drinks on the balcony at sunset and the coffee on the deck in the mornings. Having our entire family at the plunge pool right on top of the rainforest canopy was amazing! We just couldn't get enough of the never ending views of the ocean. We also loved the fact that we had almost complete 360 degree views and the Fijian mountains with rainforest are amazing! We will be back! I've never had a holiday with all my family together; 7 of us and we had so much room and space it was wonderful. We enjoyed the convenience of the rental car, and visited the Hideaway Resort often for a swim and lunch. Maui Bay has great snorkelling too although not all of us did the snorkelling. We all loved walking along the jetty and the beach. Some of us jumped off the jetty into the Maui Bay waters! The walk down to the beach from the house is really lovely, because you can see the amazing views and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. The house is on top of the mountain so we drove back up from the beach but the fit ones in our group sometimes walked :) We will be back! Vinaka amelia for looking after us. We enjoyed the meals you cooked for us when we couldn't be bothered cooking and your local knowledge was wonderful!

Response from the owner Vinaka Jasmine for taking the time to write such a wonderful review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time here! Your group was an absolute pleasure to host! See you again soon! Moce, Eeva and Rainbow xo

I was here with my family in early February this year. Wow! What can I say. We loved it! We had exclusive use of the entire property, and it was just divine. Two of us had the studio cottage and the other 5 of us stayed in the house. We loved the convenience of having the rental car included. We also loved having housekeeping and amelia was super friendly. Being close to the Hideaway Resort and the Naviti Resort was great, and we went there often for a swim and lunch. We enjoyed our drinks on the balcony for sunset and coffees for breakfast. I really loved our plunge pool. The treetop walking path to and from the pool to the studio cottage is amazing! We will definitely be back. The value for money was great and we really enjoyed Vasiti and amelia cooking for us when we didn't want to cook for ourselves :) One huge highlight was the drive in the 'courier' (a covered ute) to Sunrise Sunset's adopted village. It was so much fun and we met the nicest people! We will be back. Vinaka for everything!!

Response from the owner Vinaka Shirley! Thanks so much for both you and Jasmine for writing! We can't wait till you come back here in July with your youth group!! They are going to LOVE the trip out to the village! See you then! Moce, Eeva and Rainbow xo

“True Fijian Experience with a touch of Western luxuries”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2010

We loved our stay. I stayed in a Resort last time and did not experience the true Fijian hospitality. We were humbly cared for by Poasa and Fili which made our stay 100%. The house was fantastic, it was great to go back to basics. I loved how you can visit the resorts for the day or lounge back at the Maui Bay swimming pool. Will come back again.

“Rooms with a View”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2010

Eeva and her staff were most generous hosts. They went out of their way to give us tips about things to do locally and were always on hand if we needed help (while giving us privacy at the same time). We had rainy weather but we were able to still make it fun and go places. Having the car meant we could check out different resorts and restaurants which was nice as we didn't feel trapped anywhere. The driveway up to the house is not for the "faint hearted" but we got used to it after a day or so! All part of the adventure. We enjoyed the diving at Hideaway and our 10 yr old son did his first ocean dive...very happy to see a reef shark! Nice to come home to our own littel holiday house at the end of a days exploration and chill in front of a DVD ! Thanks Eeva.

“Honeymoon Bliss breathe taking views and surrounds.”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2010

Meeting aziz at the airport was great, he showed us alot on the way to the house having a car allowed us to do our own thing at our own pace. The Home has amazing views and surrounds truely breathe taking and very romantic. We wanted to take the lounge home with us it is a work of art. Aziz and his family are wonderful they made our honeymoon something really special & different. Aziz's wife even cooked for us one night and we loved it! We were very close to some of the best resorts on the Coral Coast but book early if you want to go to the popular restaurants. The only thing that stands out as maybe a minus is the drive around the mountain to get to the house. Becareful of the cows! The black ones are hard to see in the dark! This didnt bother us but could some. Arriving the day after Cyclone Thomas on sunday it rained so much we didnt venture down the mountain. But driving in Fiji is a challenge even on the main roads just part of the amazing experience we had. Thanks to Eeva, Aziz and families we had the best ever honeymoon !! we will be back !!

“Great accommodation, great value, great location!!!”

Our experience at Sunrise Sunset Holiday Home could not have been better. Right from the first communication with Eeva, until the property Manager aziz dropped us back at Nandi airport, the whole experience was a breeze. Eeva's regular correspondence explained everything about the property, how to make payment, airport transfer arrangements and attractions whilst there. A welcome basket of food was provided and a car for our own use was included in the cost. The property was clean and comfortable, had fantastic views over the Coral Coast and was close to major resorts and Sigatoka.
