“Fabulous villa near Sorrento”

Reviewed 11 May 2014

We spent a week in this beautiful villa last summer. The published description does not do it justice. It's much, much better than described. The indoor pizza oven was a great hit with my son ! We found everyone extremely helpful and kind. We would thoroughly recommend it !

Response from the owner Thank you!

“Beautiful location, amazing house”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

Great location, beautiful house, gorgeous kitchen, wonderful owner, and two lovely friendly dogs in the neighbourhood who would visit from time to time! Very private. Quiet. Views amazing. Great pool. Lovely outdoor rain shower. Once of our best holidays ever. Small village nearby with everything you need including a fabulous coffee shop and fresh pasta store. Would highly recommend

“Experienced traveler”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2013

We have traveled through much of Italy on 2 previous visits. Casa Esposito and Frattoria Terranova ate at the top of our list for places to stay and eat. Fads Esposito is beautiful, spacious and has mind boggling views from every bedroom. The local staff was very helpful and accomodating. Frattoria Terranova, the local restauarant, is only a few steps from the front door of the Casa. We ate three dinners and one breakfast there. The food was outstanding. Some of the best we have experienced in Italy. It is a beautiful, casual setting which makes you feel like you are at a rustic, Italian home which you are! Casa Esposito and Frattoria Terranova could not have been better choices for us.

“Glad to have nice villa during week with poor weather!”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2012

Villa Esposito is a nicely appointed villa. The beds are very comfortable and furnishings okay. The location is up high on a bluff in a quaint community with great views. The directions to the villa were difficult to understand as we approached from Sorrento. They were complicated. We got lost several times. We felt we should have been routed from the eastern roadway to have a better entry to Santa a'Gata. There were no matches in the villa to use for fireplace or candles. If power ever went out, we'd have had no auxillary lighting means provided for us. This is one thing that needs remediation.

“Simply excellent !”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

The villa is spacious, well maintained and has everything you need for a fantastic "home-from-home". You need a car but the location is ideally positioned between the hustle & bustle of Sorrento and the quieter, more picturesque, Amalfi coast. The hosts were extremely helpful and willing to be as visible/invisible as you wish. Always available to help but not interfering if you simply want a quiet break away from the stresses of modern life! Highly recommended ! Thanks

Response from the owner Thank you!! Ciao Alex

We loved every minute of our trip. The views from our veranda and from our bed were amazing. The house was perfect and a lovely place to retreat to after long days of site seeing.

“Party of 6 satisfied travelers thoroughly enjoy multiple aspects”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2012

The photos of the house are a fair representation of the house in reality. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning for coffee and breakfast, preparing meals together in the ample sized kitchen and enjoying our meals at the grand dining table. We were appreciative of having the fire to keep us warm at night and found the living/lounge space to be a comfortable place to gather and relax. The fact that each bedroom had it's own bathroom and balcony allowed us to relax and have alone time and the 4th full bathroom was a true bonus. This house has lots of Italian charm and details with "American" size space expectations. The only "bump in the road" for us was finding out that we needed training and experience to use the pizza oven (which was one of the main reasons we choose this house). Luckily we were able to negotiate a pizza oven "lesson" which made for a most memorable evening. Of note: we were not there during summer season thus the pool was not open. We would definitely stay here again and we would certainly recommend Villa Esposito to those planning a visit to the Sorrento area.

“Great family rental”

Reviewed 30 May 2012

We stayed here with our son and his bride to be. We all love to cook and thoroughly enjoyed walking into Sant agata every day to shop in the local markets and cook in the evening. We stayed the first 2 weeks in May so had days at the pool overlooking the ocean and night with a fire going. We took day trips to Sorrento, Positano, and Capri. Looked all the cities but were happy to return back to the peace and quiet of the non-tourist area. The Fattoria Teranova next door was a great spot for dinner and we had the treat of the visiting house dog Michele. We loved out time here.

Response from the owner Thank you!

“Gorgeous villa”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2012

Villa Esposito is absolutely gorgeous. It's the perfect combination of old and new. The large bedrooms with updated en suite bathrooms provide privacy, and the kitchen is great for food prep and casual breakfasts. The pool and patio area is perfect for relaxing after a morning of sight-seeing at Pompeii or Capri. The location atop the hill provided beautiful views, but it was a bit of a challenge getting there with the winding, narrow hilly roads. The village of Sant'Agata has some fantastic restaurants, but if you're not up for the challenge of getting there, you can walk a few hundred yards to a fantastic meal at the farmhouse. It's also a short drive to Sorrento, where you can find lots of great shopping, eating and drinking, as well as the ferry to Capri. It truly is the perfect place to go off the grid. Cell phone service was basically non-existent, and while the farmhouse had free wireless access, there was none at the villa. It would have been nice to be able to go online to check the weather forecast, read about things to do, get directions, etc. I wasn't prepared to be that "cut-off," and it took a few days to adjust. It was funny to see everyone in my group head-down in their email whenever we arrived somewhere that had internet or cell phone service. If you're looking to get away from it all, Villa Esposito is perfect.

Response from the owner Hi Laurie, thank you your reviews! Alex

“Italian Experience”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2010

Had a wonderful week with the family embracing everything Italian - awe swam in the pool, cooked wonderful Italian food, visited Pompei, Positano and ate out in Sanata agata as well as the Farm next door - we would love to come back for another holiday but for longer than one week.

Response from the owner HI Elain, i hope to see again and thank you!! Alex
