“Beautiful, peaceful and perfect for the kids.”
Very relaxing stay in a beautiful home, with everything you need. Fantastic pool and lovely, secure garden. Very close to Perpignan, and to the beaches. Very relaxing place. Lovely hosts who provided a warm welcome after a long day on the road.
“Wonderful relaxing holiday at a very friendly place !”
Mas de Fleurs is a fantastic place for a relaxing family holiday (we are a family from Frankfurt with two kids aged 9 and 13). It combines tranquility and comfort with the closeness to the lifely old town of Perpignan, some wonderful beaches and many interesting locations in the Pyrenees. The swimming pool is spacious and very clean and the beautiful garden has plenty of space to relax and to play. The Mimosa appartment with the large terrace was an excellent choice. In particular the shady terrace was a most welcome retreat from the summer heat. And the kids were happy about the good Wifi connection. The Waller family is a lovely host and provides all necessary information and advice. Definitely a place to recommend without any limitations !
“Great location, great family, great holidays !!”
We stayed in Granary Palm House and the garden 'chalet' with 10 persons in total. Granary Palm House, being the loft of the principal house had a stair (28 steps ...;)) which didn't really invite to go down to have breakfast on the comfortable installed terrace so we had all our meals on the nice and quiet terrace of the garden chalet. The family with 3 little kids and 2 brown labradors are very 'cool' and helpful and make you feel at home with a smile. On top of that you will find a lot of regional information brochures in the houses if you want to do some activities (we went canyoning which was a great day). The garden is so well kept thanks to Ilona's and James experience in garden landscaping. It's full of flowers and local trees. Can't forget to mention the lounge area (ideal for reading and 'chilling') and the big size swimming pool !! Another advantage : although in the middle of a quiet rural area, it only takes you 10' to go to the center of Perpignan by bike. No hot cars, no parking place to search for. And if you want to go to the beach by car, it will only take you 10 à 15'.
“Wake up & smell those Roses!”
You would think that a sun holiday with three young children is crazy. It's not, it's very possible and enjoyable in this home from home Haven. We (me, hubbie, two daughters 6 &4, and our 6 month old baby son) rented the mimosa house, a two bed Gite attached to the main farmhouse. The bohemian decor and comfy beds were most inviting. Plenty of good quality towels were provided and two ice cold beers were placed in our hands as we met the lovely owners, Janes & Ilona. Although the indoor space was on the bijou scale, the outdoor space more than made up for it. We had a large private deck with a great canopy and barbecue. We were provided with anything requested or suggested, such as cots, highchairs, toys. My gym bunny husband was even provided with weights and a weight bench, to work out in the garden. There was tonnes of information available from the owners about day trips, restaurants, tips on getting the most from the Gite, babysitters and yoga! Then there's the garden! it is an absolute credit to the owners and you can tell how much they cherish it. It is massive and yet so secluded. The flora and fauna were beautiful, as were the array of trees and shrubs, gorgeous patio with potted plants, trellises and creepers, hanging baskets, flower boxes, vegetable garden, swings, seating areas & play area. As a busy parent, it was wonderful to be able to open the door in the morning and let them run loose. The gated garden was totally safe and secure. The amazing 16m pool had a child proof fence. My girls spent a large portion of the week jumping into the heated pool and playing with the two lovely French children, staying in the other Gite. I could supervise them while swaying with my baby boy in the hammock. We hired a car and had three day trips and it was handy to pop down to the fruit & veg shop or the lovely bakery approximately 1 mile from the house. We had such a relaxing week and we're sad that it's over!
“Wonderful relaxing venue”
We'll be back to this place asap! James and Ilona are so welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful lush surroundings and excellent swimming pool at the property. Use of our own BBQ meant we were able to cook whenever we chose but were within easy walking distance of Perpignan where there are lovely restaurants or short drives took us to stunning coastal villages. Catch the Yellow Train up into the Pyrenees and visit the local markets...but most of all just chill...
“Perfect stay in Perpignan with the kids”
Brilliant location, lovely property, charming hosts - the children had a wonderful time. The warm welcome (and wine knowledge) of the hosts is outstanding. If they just got some decent crystal glasses this would be paradise. Highly recommended.
“Relaxed and friendly”
We thourghly enjoyed our stay at Le Mas. Directions to the accomodation were poor but once we had arrived the reception from James and his family was excellant with clear instruction about the accomodation and pool etc. It is always good to find bread, beer, milk and coffee supplied as a welcome. During our stay we were also made to fell part of Le Mas and James was always happy to discuss places to visit with us. There were too minor down sides, the 32 steps of the spiral staircase up to the accomodation could be a trial after a boozy barbecue, but we did come home feeling fitter! On occasions air conditioning would also have been welcome. I would recommend a stay at Le Mas to anyone without hesitation.
A beautiful place to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday - perfect location, with the pretty town of Perpignan within walking distance and some stunning beaches nearby. We loved the garden, the swimming pool and the delicious local seafood. The owners, James and Ilona, gave us a great welcome - we almost felt like family! We're definitely hoping to return soon.
Everything about our short stay at Le Mas was perfect. James was a delightful host who welcomed us to share a barbeque with his family on the night we arrived. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Highly recommended and we will be back for another holiday soon.
“A relaxing, quiet base with easy access to Perpignan and Spain”
We stayed as an extended family which included three teenagers and three Oap's, we all had a brilliant stay. The farmhouse was like a home from home which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. There really was something for everyone. The gardens were a beautiful sight to wake up to and the space and swimming pool ensured everyone had room to do just what they wanted, whether it was reading, sunbathing or messing around in the pool. It was our first time to this part of France and we would certainly return as there is so much to see and Barcelona is a short two hour car trip away. What more could you ask for?
