“Holiday Heaven”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2014

This home has everything you require to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and memorable! The kitchen has everything you need and more. And we found the chilled water dispenser a good addition. The garden and pool were very private with beautiful views of the aqua blue sea. Especially on an evening from the third floor comfortable terrace. It is in a very good quiet location, though a good steep walk into town but manageable, we found the local taxis very cheap if you find it a bit much at the end of a long day. The visitors book is full of excellent information and the Villa was kept in a very clean condition throughout our stay, with daily visits from the friendly maids and regular fresh towels and bedding. We would definitely recommend Villa Barinak and look forward to another stay ourselves. Thank so much to Susan who was so very helpful with our booking and any queries we had.

Response from the owner Thank you so much Heather! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again. You were wonderful guests!

“Fantastic villa”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2013

We have had such a wonderful stay at villa Barinak. The villa is very spacious, I could always find a peaceful place to chill. The rooms are superb and decorated in lovely taste. We had the twin room which opened onto the first floor balcony which had a lovely breeze in the morning, very pleasant to have my morning cuppa. The bathroom is a bit on the small side but the rest of the room made up for it. Mosquito nets in all the bedrooms although we didn't need to use them and mesh doors so need to worry about the bugs coming in. The kitchen is a good size although we only used the kettle, fridge and water bottle which Ilkay kindly replaced for us when empty. We only used the BBQ once as it was so cheap to eat out and to be quite honest we were so busy we didn't want to waste the time cooking. We did use the ottoman area up on the roof terrace (my little piece of heaven), this had its own fridge, sink and cupboards and drawers which were equipped with everything you could possibly want, as was the rest of the house from dvd's and books to ironing board mosquito sprays and water floats. The pool was a bit on the small size and no shallow end but as we were adults who could swim this wasn't a problem although playing volleyball was a bit cramped but we still had some fun times and was lovely to cool off. There are plenty of restaurants with our average meals costing £30 per couple including a couple of drinks each and starters, breakfast was approx £15 per couple and the food was of a very high quality. We did have an issue with the safe not being bolted down but this was going to be fixed after we left so make sure this has been done before you book otherwise you will have to find hiding places for you valuables and money unless you take them out with you. We found this quite stressful and an inconvenience, but this aside we did have a lovely holiday and would definitely return again.

“The perfect villa in the perfect place!”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2013

I cannot rate this villa highly enough. This was our return visit following a wonderful holiday last year. It was just as perfect this year. The attention to detail and the quality of the accommodation is outstanding. Susan and the staff on site could not have been more helpful. Kalkan itself is a little gem. No doubt at all that we will be returning again.

“Kalkan is Magic”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2013

This is our 4th visit to Kalkan and our 3rd to Villa Barinak. The people the food and the town are great, they remember us every year - but that may say a lot about us! The villa is so well equipped, clean and well looked after by the staff that going back three times speaks for itself. I only hope we can make it four.

Response from the owner Susan Scarre runs all the bookings perfectly and so good to hear happy reviews. I fell for Kalkan many years ago and love my times in the villa but always hope others will too and really enjoy their holidays. I know my family does. Always great to have guests coming again. In many ways I have grown to like the location. Maybe 5 mins closer to town would be better but not sure about that. Veronica (owner)

“Total relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2012

from landing in turkey to leaving everything was spot on, from the transfer to the villa and getting the keys was so easy. The villa was clean and tidy with everything you would need, I liked that there was a welcome pack. with a shop 2 mins walk down the road and only 10 mins to the centre of Kalkan, where they are more supermarkets and local shops, butchers and friut and veg shops which are better vaule for your money. the views from the villa was just stunning, especially at night just as the sun was setting, even in october/ november it was still warm enough to sit outside, walking back to the villa was not the best as it is all up hill. It was getting qutie in Kalkan as it was coming to the end of the season but suited us fine,I will have to come back sometime but in May or june when it's abit busier

Response from the owner Thank you for your lovely review and you would be welcome any time!

“Wonderful getaway with plenty of space and killer views!”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2012

Had the best time in Kalkan and staying at Villa Barinak was a major contributor to why the vacation was so nice. Beautiful views and effortless check in and booking process complete with suggestions on where to eat/what to do etc. would go back in a heartbeat.

Response from the owner Thanks for the wonderful review Josh. You were the perfect guests and we'd be thrilled to have you back anytime!

“Beautiful, tranquil Kalkan”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2012

Villa Barinak is charming and full of character. The 'Ottoman' area on the roof terrace in particular is a wonderful amenity with beautiful views over the bays and a cooling breeze in the evening - perfect for a pre-dinner drink! The villa's manager and owner could not have been more helpful. Kalkan itself is delightful, the local people very accommodating, the restaurants excellent, the sea crystal clear and warm, and there is plenty to do whether you want to lounge in the sun or venture farther afield. We did both! One word of advice - it is very hot in the summer and the town is very hilly!

“Fantastic - lovely villa in great locatioin”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2012

Have just spent two wonderful weeks in Villa Barinak. I would say it is the best villa we have rented over a good number of years. Not only does it have everything you could possibly want but it is also really beautiful - covered in a host of colourful flowers. It is perfectly located in Kalkan - just a 15 minute walk to all the wonderful restaurants and shops (although we always got a taxi back as it is a tad steep!) Susan organised the airport transfers for us and was very helpful throughout. We are already planning our return trip.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for these comments and we're so pleased you had a great time. We look forward to welcoming you again!

“A really great find.”

Reviewed 18 May 2011

A very comfortable villa with good sized bedrooms and living areas. All the bedrooms have balconies and the views from all are fantastic. The chill-out area on the roof terrace is terrific. Facilities are good and include satellite TV, chilled water and an icemaker. Local shops and restaurants are around the corner and Kalkan itself is within walking distance.

“One of the best spots in Kalkan”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2010

This is our second stay at Villa Barinak. The villa is very spacious and in a lovely spot - great access to Kalkan and Kalamar bay and fantastic views. It comfortably sleeps 6 (or more) as there is plenty of space. Excellent cleaning team as well.
