“Gorgeous little apartment”
This apartment has been furnished with love and has a lot of character. Meeting Catina, the owner, at the station was lovely. She is warm and kind and very helpful in answering our questions. It was a perfect place for 2 and was well-located, 5 minutes walk from the station and a block away from the leather market and farmers market. I would definitely recommend my friends to stay here when visiting Florence.
“Great little studio next to the Mercato Centrale”
Catina met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment, which she had pre stocked with some fruit, a bottle of wine, bottle of beer and water! She is a such a nice person, and gave us some restaurant/shopping tips. The apartment is really small, but everything you need is there and the location is fantastic. We often returned home 2 or 3 times in a day to cool down and have a drink or snack before venturing out again. For the price and location this was easily the best value for money of all the places we stayed on our month long trip around Italy.
1. ?????? 2. ????????? 3. ???? 4. ???? 5. ?????? (Centrale Mercato) 6. Owner Ms Catina Cecioni is a very nice lady, She lead you from Stazone Firenze to her compact studio. 7. Best design with every inch of room area.
“Great cozy studio with good location!”
We spent 3 nights here and like other reviews have said the owner Catina was super friendly and came to the train station to pick us up and showed us around the area. It was very nice personally touch. The room is small but just enough for what we need. It is clean and very cozy. I would highly recommend it for single or couple to stay here when you come to Florence. By the way, the desserts Catina prepared when we arrived were yummy :) we enjoyed our stay!
“A well-maintained, clean, v. central, delightful little studio f”
The 'Chiarina studio' provided us with precisely what we were looking for - a small, fully-equipped 1-room flat in the middle of Florence, at a price that didn't break the bank. I won't repeat the general picture painted by earlier commentators - I'll just confirm it. In addition, what we loved was the ability to walk to all the sites in Florence within 5, 15, 25 minutes of leaving the house. Moreover, as we came out of the building, we could see the dome of the cathedral towering over the city. Within 30 seconds, we were in the Central Market, with its irrestible temptations (closes 2 pm). Having a kitchen unit in the flat, we could buy what we liked and eat breakfast and one meal at home (in our case, fresh bread, freshly cut cheeses and cold meats, sundried tomatoes, beautiful fruit and salad stuff, etc, etc). We originally chose the flat because it was a few minutes' walk from the station, which minimised the hassle with baggage and transport on arrival and departure. It also meant we could easily arrange a daytrip to Siena, or other places in Tuscany. Again, in short, top marks. I shouldn't forget to mention that we too were met at the station.
“Absolutely wonderful...could not have been better”
This is the most gorgeous little studio...and I will definitely be going back!! I can't say enough about how lovely my whole wonderful experience with Catina and her Chiarina Studio was...everything in it so carefully thought out and tasteful. It has everything you could possibly need right in the heart of Florence...The location is absolutely perfect for sightseeing, the merchants markets are right there and the food markets are so close across the road making it possible to cook some of the fabulous regional foods on offer for yourself in the well equipped little kitchen. Lovely linen and towels...good water pressure...good air conditioning...clever artworks.Very close to the train terminal as well.I had an easy walk with my wheely case..(use the subway to cross under the road though). My stay was made even more enjoyable by the warm friendly and welcoming hostess Catina...she is such a lovely lady to deal with and made it all so enjoyable and simple from my first email to her and the prompt little informative updates that were so helpful.. to the the fab coffee and conversation we shared on meeting...to leaving the key inside and reluctantly pulling the door closed on such a memorably gorgeous we place in Florence.
“Two Gems: The Studio, and the Owner”
We stayed in Catina's studio for 11 nights in June and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The location is just perfect for exploring all Florence has to offer -- we loved being able to walk to all the main attractions so easily. We also really enjoyed the proximity to the central market (recommendation: fresh ravioli at the pasta place). The studio itself is beautifully decorated and very well appointed. We especially appreciated the excellent shower and the very comfortable sleeper sofa. The space really works for two people. But the best part of all is the owner -- what a sweetheart! Catina simply could not have been more accommodating, from the initial communications, to meeting us at the train station, to giving us touring recommendations (even well after our stay in Florence was over). Wholeheartedly recommended.
