Affordable, comfortable and convenient for your next Florida vacation, Apt. 162 Runaway Bay Resort gives you all the amenities you'll need for a truly wonderful, relaxing vacation on beautiful, laid-back Anna Maria Island.

Our fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath home from home includes free high-speed wireless internet, free long distance calls to US and Canada numbers, flat screen HDTV cable with Blu-Ray Internet-connected DVDs in all rooms, a newly updated, fully equipped kitchen, new beds (2016) and ceiling fans in both bedrooms, washer/dryer in the unit and recently updated bathrooms. No other condo in the resort gives you all the features that you'll find in 162.

This is a first (ground) floor end unit, only steps away from a heated swimming pool, the largest on the island, and a fishing pier with stunning views. It's just a short stroll to the beautiful Gulf beaches.

Runaway Bay boasts its own tennis court, exercise room, shuffleboard, barbecues and picnic shelters. The frequent, free Manatee Island Trolley bus stops outside and runs from 6am to 10.30pm, whisking visitors to nearby other beaches, shopping and restaurants, enabling you to leave your car in the designated free parking spot should you wish to do so. It will even carry your bicycles to ride there and cycle back!

Watch glorious sunsets on the beach, stroll through the tropical grounds, dotted with lagoons, or just soak up the Florida sun. Runaway Bay Resort is located in Bradenton Beach, Florida, between Sarasota and Tampa. For more pictures and rate information, please visit our website.

“Steps away from pool!”

Well-equipped 2 BR condo with lovely decor located near large heated pool. Beautiful complex just south of Anna Maria Island with nearby Publix Supermarket. Close to the beach with chairs provided by condo owner. Three HD TV's in apt. although with only basic cable provided many of favorite channels unavailable--this was the only disappointing feature I can think of overall. Wi-Fi was excellent and owner provided free telephone calling in USA. Washer/Dryer in apt. another big plus! Would highly recommend this apt. rental.

Our family of four stayed at this condo and had a great week! I would rate this very good-excellent. First, the rental may have been the most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed at. They seemed to have everything we needed at this rental. Plenty of towels and linens, silverware, cookware, storage containers, etc. We bought food for the week, but other than buying our own laundry supplies, we didn't need anything else. The location was great too. The pool was nearby as advertised, and the beach was across the street just a short walk away. Even though it doesn't have sugary white sands like Siesta Key and was a little rough to walk on, it's a beautiful beach nonetheless. The waves were outstanding and fun to play in, and the fact we could just walk across the street and not take a car was a huge plus. This would be one of our main reasons to rent here again. We also liked the layout of the condo. The only real negatives to mention was the internet went down every day and we had to unplug the power to the modem and router and plug it back in 1-2 times a day. It always worked again after doing this, so it was just a minor nuisance more than anything else. Also, the master bath could use updating as the shower looked a bit worn and outdated (everything worked fine, however). Other than that, this was a great place to stay for being so close to the beach, and we would stay here again.

“Island Paradise!”

A lovely condo with every convenience you could want. Great location on anna Maria Island, comfortable furnishings, fully-stocked & updated kitchen, quick (and free!) wireless Internet, & immaculately clean. Just a two minute walk (if that) from your door to a beautiful white sand beach. There are a number of cute cafes and shops in walking distance, and the free island trolley--which goes all over the island-- stops directly in front of the condo complex. I hated to leave!!

What a beautiful place to stay, the condo is so bright and cheerful and what a great location. The Island is quiet but has everything you want to do. Most places are a short drive away. Big cities, other beaches or shopping! The area has it all.

Staying in Unit 162 at Runaway Bay was perfect in every way. It was not only clean and decorated in true Floridian style, it had all the amenities of home. Even a sewing kit! Being located toward the front of the condo complex, made for easy access to the pool (just outside the lanai door), to the free island trolley, and to the beach. What more could a person ask for? More time to spend at Unit 162!
