“amazing”

“3 wonderful days at the edge of Erg Chebbi”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2012

--- Right from the beginning, Anne replied not only to our requests but gave us great advice for our round trip through Morocco. Don't hesitate to ask whatever your concern may be. The location is approx. 5 minutes by car from the main road shortly before Merzouga, just at the border to the dunes. Driving there with a limousine was no problem. The road from Rissani to Merzouga is in a good condition and allows comfortable driving. The 3 days we stayed in Riad Saf Saf passed by far too quickly. The peace and beauty of the place, lots of talking and fun with the team that took care of us with great spirit, sitting at a bonfire and driving in the 4x4 in Erg Chebbi made it an unforgettable experience. The landscape & the local people will remain the highlight of our 2 weeks trip through Morocco.

“a gem in the desert”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2011

We came here to discover the desert and found friends, breathtaking landscapes and good food. The house, with a beautiful atmosphere is nestled in a little, quiet garden-oasis in front of the dunes. Immediately we adopt another rhythm and the perception of time changes. We enjoy the sunrise in the dunes early before a delicious breakfast in the garden, Ann has organized different excursions, so we can discover the vicinity in a very personalized and authentic way on foot, on camel back, 4x4 and bike. She is there to answer our questions to deepen our experiences. We'll never forget the sunsets and ever changing colors of the dunes, the romantic, varied and plentiful suppers outside, when the night was falling, the sky full of stars, the bonfires with a group of young Berbers making music, the long serious discussions, the jokes and funny anecdotes. After, we would fall asleep in a very comfortable bed with cozy down covers against the desert cold. We stayed for five unforgettable days and left with regret.

“Moroccan spirit with Eurpean service”

I had a wonderful time in Riad Saf Saf. Anne and Hassan are a perfect couple because he knows everything about the desert and the traditions of the people, he was taking me to the most exciting places in the dunes, driving like a "Paris-Dakar"-King and anne cared about all my needs, knowing what a European "stressed" woman needs to feel good far away from Europe, nice towels, great food, spacial bathroom and a bed with beautifully stiched sheets to dream about the next great day in the desert. Even now in Germany I keep on thinking of that great stay in that lovely house with the great people of the desert. Coming back, that is for sure!!!

“sublime !!!”

Laurence arnal - Paris Merci encore!

“absolute must in Morocco!”

Morocco is amazing, but Riad Saf Saf and those 36 hours we have spent there were worth every minute. Excellent house with beautiful garden for company of 4-6 friends right on the edge of Sahara desert. start with a sunrise in desert, have a breakfast in garden, stop at the next village to listen to Sudan music, have an unforgettable 4x4 experience with Hassan in desert, remember all your life while climbing up on a dune with your sandboard, drink tea in oasis, have lunch and chill in pool in neighbour's auberge, have a camel ride to have a look at sun setting over Sahara and finally have the tastiest couscous in the whole Morocco. sure will come back.

“A dream place in the Sahara!”

Morocco is an amazing country with many contrasts - ocean, mountains, gorges & desert. My family & I stayed at Riad Saf Saf in the desert as part of our Moroccan holiday. The riad is located right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The property is beautiful, the rooms were clean, comfortable & tastefully decorated and the food was absolutely delicious! Hassan & Ahmed were the perfect hosts, catering to our every need. Hassan arranged a camel trek, staying overnight in Berber tents with visits to nomad families in the desert. It was an amazing experience! Hassan & Ahmed were extremely helpful, cooked & served our meals and took great care of us, even teaching us a few berber words. My son will never forget his 21st birthday, especially the berber pizza. Riad Saf Saf was our favorite accommodation during our 4 week trip to Morocco. We were treated like family and want to thank Hassan and anne for a truly unforgettable Moroccan adventure! We would highly recommend staying here.

“Aman N Marurne”

Reviewed 19 May 2010

Having booked our stay over the internet it was a slight worry as to what we were letting ourselves in for! We need not have worried as Aman N Marurne was a magnificent house beautifully hosted by Anne and Hassan. Walking out the back door into the sand dunes was very memorable. The house is very comfortable and stylish with excellent cuisine. Anne has connections with a local hotel so access to a swimming pool was easy. From the house it was easy to explore the desert by car, quad bike, camel or foot. We spent an enjoyable night in a Bedouin camp, visited a nomadic tribe and went flamingo watching at a local lake.
