“A fantastic holiday in a great place...”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

Villa Moniga is really well fitted out with everything you'd ever need for a relaxing holiday in this beautiful region and it's location, close to the centre of beautiful Moniga and the lake couldn't be better. The pool is great and because there are so few units around, it feels really private. One of the best villas we have ever rented - and we've rented a few!

“Great apartment and location”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2013

We loved the apartment and the terrace overlooking the pool was great for al fresco eating and relaxing. Our kids just loved the pool. We particularly liked that we were only 5 minutes walk to the centre of Moniga, perfect for croissants in the morning and pizza and ice creams in the evening! We also liked the lakeside beach at Moniga and that it is a quieter resort yet easy to get to other places. Very fond memories of this holiday.

Great facilities, close to the quaint village centre, pleasant locals, fantastic local scenery, a really enjoyable relaxing stay.

“Great apartment Situated In a Lovely Village”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

Paul made the process of booking the accomodation very easy & the info given about the apartment & surrounding area was very useful. A spacious attractive apartment, with a fantastic balcony, only wish we had better weather to spend more time on it!! Moniga del Garda is a typical small italian village with some good reasonably priced restaurants, very friendly locals and a castle.Access to the lake takes only 10min walking downhill and the views over the lake are spectacular. We hired a boat for half a day which was quite reasonable and great fun. The location of the property is excellent with easy road access to the other villages and small towns around the lake, and the motorway gives the opportunity to visit Venice and Verona both spectacular I would say this is one of our most enjoyable holidays in a comfortable apartment in an attractive region of Italy.

“A Dream Stay”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2012

We have rented Villa Moniga before a few years ago but have not managed to get back to Italy since. However, we were not disappointed upon returning. The shrubs and trees have grown a bit (no bad thing for privacy) but everything else is exactly as perfect as it was 3 years ago. The air conditioning is a life-saver in the summer and you could sit on the large terrace overlooking the pool and pretty village of Moniga for hours (in fact, we did!). The apartment is furnished to such a high standard that we couldn't think of anything that we needed which was not provided and the little welcome basket was a nice touch. Everything was within easy walking distance, including the lake itself. There are restaurants, a small supermarket, a couple of cafes and the most amazing ice cream parlour within a 10 minute walk and there is frequent entertainment in the main square for much of the year. Whilst the apartment doesn't currently have WiFi, there is good free WiFi available in the centre of the village a few minutes walk away, which was useful. We get the feeling that whenever we come to Italy we are going to have to come to Villa Moniga. After all, if our 17 and 18 year children can label it the "best holiday ever", then it must have been a dream!

“Good value for money and friendly service!”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2012

The appartment was tidy and beautiful, with 2 great balconies and a quiet neighbourhood. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the whole stay was handled well. We were considerately provided with a bed for our baby and friendly advice about the area. We could have used a microwave and a wlan access, but everything else we needed was there. The coal barbeque was great! The village was peaceful and it was easy getting aound to the other villages around the lake with local busses (as soon as we learned to read the timetable). We recomend the grocery shop Da alberto and the restaurant Trentta (Agritourismo), they were our two favourites in Monica!

“Great in Garda !”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2011

This is really is an excellent property, its very clean, well equipped, roomy and the balcony is large which is good for eating and relaxing. Pool is good as well. Location is quiet and ideal to get into Moniga's shops & restaurants (5 min walk) and to the nearby 'beaches'(5 min drive). in fact you dont have to travel far for anything and Salo and Desenzano are only 15 minutes easy drive away. Its also handy to get to the main roads and motorway for exploring further afield. We went with 2 adults and 3 (age 9-13) children and it never felt cramped. I would recommend and having been to Como, Garda is more family friendly and there's lots of variety. Paul is also very helpful and knowledgeable on the area.

“Fabulous villa ideally located for Lake Garda exploring”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2011

The standard of this 3-bedroom apartment was 1st class. Very well equipped, it was like a home-from-home, with 42" plasma TV, DVD, playtation, all enjoyed from the comfort of a luxurious corner leather sofa, whilst the kitchen area boasted a breakfast area, large fridge-freezer, and dishwasher. The bedrooms all opened out to a balcony, each room fitted out tastefully, with a ceiling fan in each room as well as a a/C unit centrally located to cool the whole apartment. The bathroom was a good size, and there was a 2nd toilet in the utility room, which contained a washing machine. Large sliding doors in the lounge area opened out on to a large balcony, overlooking the pool, and we did all our eating at the table situated here. The kids loved the pool and we could keep an eye on them from the comfort of the shaded balcony. The villa was a 5 minute walk from the centre of Moniga itself, and was situated such that we could easily get in the car and drive to the local supermarkets in 5 minutes. All in all, a great location, a great villa, and a great experience - we were greeted with a welcome asket of goodies, containing all the essentials you need upon arrival, as well as a few extras, which was a really nice touch. The information fodler provided was extremely helpful, containing all you need to know about the local area to get around. A great base for visiting Lake Garda.

“We'll be back!!”

Well, my English isn't that good, so to make a long story short: We loved our Villa!! Everythings clean and new and we had a relaxing and comfy holiday.

“A fantastic base from which to explore a beautiful area”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2010

Villa Moniga was ideal for us as a family travelling with 2 teenage children - the 3 bedrooms and the air conditioning were godsends! This is one of the nicest appartments we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a few!). The decor is clean, fresh and very practical and there is so much attention to detail - we particularly liked the insect nets built into every window so that you could open everything up without having to hunt mosquitos all evening. The pool is great and gets the sun right into the evening. Being on the first floor means you aren't overlooked and have a great view of the centre of town - which is only a 3 minute walk from the appartment. The lake is about a 10-15 minute walk away through the centre of Moniga, which is a fantastic base from which to explore the region. Moniga itself is really pretty with a good choice of restaurants and pizzerias and a great ice cream bar - all within easy walking distance! I would definitely recommend this appartment and am sure that we'll be back soon! Ciao...
