- Very Good
It was our 2nd time we stayed in this lovely apartement. It is really like being home away from home. Very good location, close to public transportation and shops. Volkert Market just in front of the house with new restaurants. Quiet. Very clean and tidy. Edda helped us a lot with good advice when we needed medical help. only problem is 50 steps to climb up to get to the apartment. Will book this place again, any time i need to be in Vienna. Very good value.
“Vienna Feeling – Apartment Sophie lets you feel home from the first minute”
First of all, it was very convenient to reach the apartment from the airport. We just had to take the train until Praterstern, and from there a bus brought us directly in front of the house. Mrs Cosentini warmly welcomed us and had even prepared some typical viennese Christmas cookies for us and a bottle of wine. All in all the apartment was just as described. We definitely enjoyed the style and the atmosphere of this special place right from the first moment. We liked to do our shopping on the market nearby the house and sometimes even cooked at home. There was a bus stop in front of the house and 2 underground stations were in walking distance. Very easy to get around in this beautiful city. And the city center is very close to the apartement, We highly recommend this apartment to travelers from abroad!
“Comfortable, Enjoyable Stay in Vienna”
My month-long stay in the apartment was very enjoyable. On my arrival I was greeted by Frau Cosentini-Stein, who was very helpful and welcoming and who spoke excellent English. The apartment is very comfortable with a sizeable living room where I was able to work well on my computer at the writing desk. (There were no problems at all with the wireless connection). The apartment is tastefully decorated with various antiques and old framed photos from the turn of the century. The bedroom has two single beds that were comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and a washing machine. The kitchen, while small, was easy to work in and I was able to save money on home-cooked meals. The apartment is well located on a market square, where fresh fruit, meat and vegetables are available. There are also two supermarkets in the area -- Hofers about an 8-minute walk away, and Billa, about 15 minutes walk away, or a five-minute streetcar ride. Access to the Inner city with St.Stephens and most of the attractions of Vienna is easy with a number of near-by streetcar stops and straightforward connections to the underground system, including Schwedenplatz, one of the main hubs in the inner city. A month pass at ca 40 Euros is excellent value and allows you unlimited access to the transportation system of the inner city. The neighbourhood seems secure. I had no problems returning to the apartment at any time during the day or evening.
“Very charming apartment in a great surrounding”
The apartment was very roomy and comfortable - just as described - and the apartment's furniture in the Viennese style made it a very charming place. The owner welcomed me with a few nice amenities - a cake and candles on the table, fresh drinks in the fridge. Wireless internet was also available free of charge which I particularly welcomed as I came to Vienna for business reasons and spent some hours working in the apartment. The apartment "Sophie" is definitely the preferred choice for my next upcoming travel to Vienna and I can really recommend this lovely apartment to all people searching for a real special atmosphere - a charming place in a charming city.
