Tired of the tourist trail? Seeking somewhere special to stay? If so, Rooftop Retreat is the place for you! Tucked away above the Damodaran family's home, this spacious, clean and tastefully furnished apartment provides a convenient base from which to explore Mysore city, and a welcome space to relax in after a hard day's sightseeing! The bedroom boasts one large double or two twin beds with mosquito nets, an attached shower room and western style toilet. The dining room, equipped with refrigerator and breakfast bar, doubles as a place to write your diary or postcards, and the sitting room contains a small library, board games, and a TV tuned to many English language channels. From the window you can watch everyday life unfold in the street below, and from the roof terrace you can look out toward Chamundi hill and the town. The climate in Mysore is pleasant for most of the year and there are ceiling fans throughout the flat, but air conditioning is provided in the bedroom for those who want it. Indian or western breakfasts are included in the room rate, and Kamla and her daughters prepare delicious teatime specialities and tasty dinners on request, which you can enjoy in the flat or al fresco on the roof terrace. You can prepare your own simple snacks or hot drinks at any time.

You will be guaranteed the warmest of welcomes if you choose to stay here: however, as your apartment is self contained you can enjoy complete privacy whenever you wish.

When outside, the family ask that you observe local codes of dress and behaviour, as this will enhance both your own enjoyment, and that of future guests.
