“Nice Accommodations...needs updates”
We loved the unit but it needed some upkeep. Seems like minimal things but generally left a bad impression. Wine glasses were very used and old, dishwasher was not clean and it was very hard to pull racks out. For the price, I felt it would have been nice to have some basic spices (salt and pepper) in the unit. The window tracks were stripped and couldn't really be opened and closed easily. Maid service was not good.
Response from the manager We very much appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback on Tristant 211. Our hard water (laden with minerals) up here in the San Juan Mountains do take their toll on glassware. We treat all the dishwashers regularly with JetDry, but without a water softener it is an uphill battle. Regarding the number of wine glasses, we realized that the stock was down and have since ordered more to fill out the inventory. We greatly regret that this did not occur prior to your stay. We also had some work done on the windows in the master suite that were in need of new cranks and adjustments. All other windows in the unit were verified operational and in good working condition. Please let us know when you are returning to Telluride so we can have another opportunity to leave you with nothing but positive impressions. Thanks again for being our guest and for leaving your review.
“Great Time Great Place!”
We rented #211 and #209+. We had a great experience both places were awesome. We had a large group of 20 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room. The only thing keeping me from making this 5 stars were the following small things. The hot tub walkway in 209 was buried in 2 feet of ice. I would expect that to be dug out before our arrival. Operating the Tv's and DVD players were a bit difficult. I would recommend laminated instructions for operation instead of the scribbled mostly unreadable notes on a ripped piece of paper. Finally it's sort of tricky to find your way back to the place from skiing. Just some simple instructions like take the Mountain Village Bypass trail to right before the bridge where you will catch the funicular to the Tristant Villas. Besides those small complaints everything was spectacular. The management company was friendly they helped us out with rentals and discounted lift tickets.
Response from the manager Thanks so much for sharing your experiences from your recent Telluride holiday! The Villas at Tristant receive consistently high reviews for all the reasons you appreciated it - quality, location and views. The walkway to the hot tub being buried was very unfortunate and we greatly regret you found the space in this condition. In big snow years like 2013/14, it is necessary to shovel the roofs once or twice in the winter season. The HOA had just shoveled the roofs and they failed in their responsibility to adequately clear the grounds where the snow landed. We have corrected the situation and confirmed the HOA's responsibilities with them. When you return you will not find this again. Thank you very much for the recommendations to improve our in-room information for guests. The unit info book now contains ski-in/out directions and the laminated TV instructions are once again inside Villa 209. Thanks again!
“Amazing Experience - Winter wonderland perfection”
This property is impeccable and provides all the comforts of home. With four stories, having two families spread out among the floors offered space, and privacy, yet felt very close and cozy. The interiors are superb with a rustic cabin feel, and the heated floors throughout offer incredible warmth. The staff at Telluride alpine Lodging couldn't have been easier to work with. The entire experience was excellent.
Response from the manager We are so pleased to read about your experiences at Tristant 211. We agree...it is a fabulous property with a long list of great amenities. We at Sea to Ski and Telluride Alpine Lodging are looking forward to welcoming you back to Telluride in the very near future!
