“not on top of each other”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2013

This visit was great our family was able to walk around the house without running into each other. The kids had their owe place to hangout and play. The back yard was nice.

“Outstanding home at The Lodge at Dollar Point”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

We rented this home in august 2013, invited our 3 kids, spouses and grandkids. It was a wonderful experience. The home is beautiful yet functional for a family. With the few small issues we had (TV controls not working, fence needed to be repaired, etc.), they had someone out within hours of our call. Nice back yard where all the grandkids could play. Half a block to the HOa pool, and a nice beach for the kids to play on not to far away (a drive through the neighborhood). We would definitely come back to this home if we had another big gathering. I only wished this had a view of the lake and it was closer to the waterfront. But all the other above made up for it.

“Good multifamily space”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2013

This house had great size despite the small kitchen. The rooms were laid out well and the fenced backyard was beautiful. There was plenty if seating for everyone and the two living areas made it nice for adults and kids to have their separate spaces. The rooms did get warm in the evening about was nice there were fans in the rooms. The white carpet was a little stressful to keep clean with lots of guests. The advertised king bed in the master was actually two twins pushed together that would separate at night. This was a little frustrating. Great location

“Great location and lovely place!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

It was our first trip to Tahoe and we absolutely loved it! The lodged fit all of our needs for the large group and we had some great times getting cozy by the fire, have our big dinners and exploring the town. The service for any type of emergency was responded to in no time! Thank you Tahoe Getaways for making our stay in Tahoe the most memorable one.

“Perfect for large gatherings”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2013

We had fourteen people- the youngest 12 yrs old- stay for a week over Christmas. The layout of the large home is well suited for multiple families, with three distinct bedroom areas. The dual bunkbed back bedroom (four beds) was great for kids. The house is close to the entrance to the subdivision, on a very level section of road; nice and easy even with slick roads. The driveway itself is very short- just barely enough for an SUV, and the two car (two single door) garage was tight- we could only get one car inside. The large expanse of windows was nice. The was plenty of seating for lounging around and for meals. A disappointment was no blue-ray DVD player, even with the large TVs, which would have been nice when the snow storms raged outside. Service was excellent- we needed help with the gas fireplace pilot light the first night, and we got quick help.

“Well maintained place”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2011

We were 4 families of friends and all of us were with children. We had a good time in this house. The rooms are well lit, bathrooms are clean and the house in general well maintained. The house has a lovely backyard. My only problem was the kitchen, they did not seem to have the right kind of cutlery and the ones that did exist were old and highly used. The kitchen is small compared to the size of the house. We were bumping into each other trying to cook for 10+ people. The entrance to the parking garage is rather narrow, none of our cars fit, we all ended up parking it outside. Its ok in summer, but winter that can be a problem.

“Great place for large group with young children”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2011

Cabin has great layout for several families. Three different sleeping areas, two dining tables, two living rooms with large t.vs. Kitchen is somewhat small for large group. Low deck and beautiful flat grassy, fenced backyard. Nice BBQ. Walk to pool. However, furnishings need lots of Tlc--broken chairs, lamps, carpet stains, deck needs cleaning & new patio furniture!

“Big House! White Carpet! Fantastic Backyard!”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2011

We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is set up very nicely for three families with children. Plenty of space inside and out with only one large problem...white carpets!!! There is beautiful hardwood in the kitchen and family room, however, the rest of the home is covered in white carpet...strict instructions are given regarding use of the living room where there is a large screen TV with a DVD player...abit impractical for the large groups which this wonderful house can accommodate so nicely! We love the home and will rent it again with its large backyard and wonderful layout. Wish there was hardwood in that bright and beautiful living room!

“4th of July Blast!”

Reviewed 16 Jul 2011

Great house for more then one family with separate living spaces. Kitchen is a bit small for more then about 3 people at a time. Nice large fenced in yard. Wish there was a high balconey so we could see the lake. A little noisey as road is near to the highway. Great check-in and helpful staff at the office. Would return.

“Good for 2 families”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2010

As they say definitely a 2 family rental . Inside is cut up and not as nice as the outside . Location and yard a big plus for kids . Little dated on the inside though and I would not overpay . We got a fair deal but some of the advertised prices must be pre-financial crisis. Beds just ok and you can hear some traffice noise from the highway although it does not back up to it . Does have propane grill though now . Cynthia at Tahoe Getaways was very nice, no hassle rental . Cleaning fee is a little steep at $225 and time to get some HD cable and wifi ! The visitor tax at 14% is crazy .
