“Stunning estate and perfect location”
I went with by partner in June for a 5 night stay after a couple nights in Florence. It was the perfect holiday and this appartment was exactly what we wanted - somewhere quiet, with a pool and close to Tuscan villages to explore. You 100% need a car here but we didn't mind - we had some lovely drives to local towns and villages to explore and try their wonderful food. You are 5 minutes drive from Montepulciano and 10-15 minutes from the next nearest village/town - but you wouldn't know they were that close! (I think it is Montefollonico that has an amazing wine bar/restaurant in the middle of the courtyard) The appartment is a good size and has everything you need. Outside my the pool there is a large BBQ and pizza oven for the whole estate to use. We used the BBQ every other night and it was great. Our main concern when booking was that a young family would book the same time as us (there are a few other appartments there) and ruin the tranquility around the estate. When we arrived there were other families there but everything is so spaced out that we really didn't mind. Only thing that would have been nice were more sun loungers (not enough if all guests at pool) and the cleaning charge is very expensive - considering you have to clean the flat yourself before you leave and drive the rubbish up to the main road. Overall it was an amazing place to be - the estate is beautiful and very well looked after. The service was also great and friendly. Have recommended to all friends and family.
One again we enjoyed our visit to this well run set of apartments. They are ready on time, cleean and well equiped. A caretaker lives on site to provide backiup if needed. The gardena and pool are tell tended and maintained. Montipulciano is 10 mins away by car. Be aware that it is in the middle of the countryside with no shops or restaurants nearby.
“A great setting for touring!”
We stayed at Borgo dei 7 Tigli for 5 days in October of 2010. The facilities were great, well supplied and very comfortable. The proximity to Montepulciano (4 km) was the reason we picked this rental. It was also a good base for touring around the Tuscan countryside. We had a two bedroom unit but did not stay in the "master" bedroom because it did not have screens on the window. Instead we used the smaller bedroom because it did have screens. The onsite "caretaker" helped out with directions and suggestions. We would highly recommend this rental to any and all.
“Have already recommend to friends”
Clean clean a stove top that could boil water in minutes. It was a rel stove top. Cat came to visit us every morning. Hard to find but worth it. It is quiet. Able to walk through the surrounding vineyards an sample grapes. The list goes on
This 'complex' of accomodation in quirky rustic buildings is in a lovely quiet setting 10 mins drive from the centre of Montepulchiano. It is well run and maintained and our apartment was wellequipped (except for coffe mugs!) and very comfortable. The pool is small but adequate and there is a fenced area with a slide and swings. No shops or restaurants within walking distance but lots in Montepulchiano.
“very nice time spent in Montepulciano”
great place, great service, nice swimming pool. we spent one of our best holidays and we would like to come back. We appreciated the air conditioning!
“Wonderful Location with the most stunning views”
We had the most wonderful holiday in Tuscany ,great apartment with stunning views (apartment number 5 had best views),only 10 mins drive to Montepulciano. which is wonderful with great restaurants and shops and only 45 drive from Siena. The Cathedral in Siena is stunning and a worthwhile visit. We would certainly recommend Borgo dei 7 Tigli to friends and fanily and would like to return .
“Wow!! I want to buy this place!”
It was hard to find (no signs on the main road), but once we found it we didn't want to leave! The view is incredible, and there are bee-eater birds (look like stained glass with all their colors) in the vineyards that surround the place. A woodpecker looking bird (Hoepoe) landed on my windowsill each morning. The place is so modern, comfortable and clean, but the beams on the ceiling say otherwise - 300 years old - used to be a monastery! How cool. The detail everywhere is beautiful. Olive oil and (really good local Nobile) wine waiting on the table - great kitchen to cook in! We ate on our deck every chance we could. We couldn't use the pool because it was still chilly and we had places to be, but oh, I wish we could have stayed another 2 weeks+. The lady who manages the place is as friendly and helpful as can be - she kept apologizing about the language barrier, but she really spoke very good English - I just wish I knew more Italian. I would stay here again for sure - just perfect. So much to see and do nearby. Montepulciano is close (3 miles?) and wonderful - except for the police who are ready to ticket you for any offense - we got a $60 parking ticket while in the tourist office asking for directions!! Only white spaces are free - blue are pay!! And do not drive into the little towns even if everyone else is - takes a special permit and the fine is over $100!!! If you don't want to drive, I'm wondering if you could take a bus to Montepulciano, pay to be dropped off at the farmhouse, and ride the bikes you can rent? Something to think about...
Tranquil, beautiful countryside within easy driving distance to beautiful quaint villages. Accommodation was everthing we wanted & needed.
