“Exceptional location in Vieux Lyon”

We've stayed at many B&Bs; and short-term rentals in France, and this is one of the better ones. It's located in a historic building in Vieux Lyon within easy walking distance of Place Bellecour and much of the central city, and a short walk to the Metro stop. Best of all, the separate bedroom is very quiet, and there is free Wi-Fi! If you are coming by car, it's a bit tricky to drop off luggage and park at the nearby public parking, but that's part of the adventure.

“Spring Time in Paris”

This was our first trip to France from the us and we stayed in this very quaint, historic looking, 3rd floor walk up with beautiful purple Wisteria flowers growing up the outside of the building. (In the us we count floors with #1 being the bottom floor. In France they don't count the bottom floor, just the floors above it so over there our floor was marked as the 2nd floor. Just one of many little cultural quirks that made the trip special) We slept 5 people comfortably in the apartment. You could tell that the building was originally built without plumbing or electricity so you felt you were really stepping back into history, but all the amenities had been added thoughtfully, without detracting from the old building style. The dishwasher even had a rack specially designed for wine glasses, and the 5 of us never lacked for hot water in the shower. Our front windows opened out onto the beautiful, picture perfect, cobbled, gated courtyard. We felt we had stepped back in time into a storybook. Coordinating meeting up with the hostess was very easy even though our flight was running behind. At check in we were pleasantly surprised to find out the phone in the room was free for local calls and for calls to the us, although strangely not to cell phones or long distance within France. We were there for 3 nights and took good advantage of it. The apartment was located a short walking distance to the river, a subway station, shops and restaurants. There was a nice little coffee and bakery down at the corner for our morning coffee. (I hate making my own) It really is ideally located. Next time we go back we will be looking for the same apartment. A great experience that really started our trip out on the right foot. Thank you.

“Absolutely Enchanting Paris style”

We were the luckiest people in the world to find this wonderful 5 bed heaven in the best location of Paris!!! Although typically European small, it was more than adequate for us. Centrally located, hidden in a very old section of Paris this gem is a must. Understand this is not american standards by any means, but having lived in Paris this was luxurious, priced right for a family of 5. Try it I don't think you'll be disappointed.
