Overall the apartment was clean and acceptable, but poor lighting (one lamp in the bedroom) and not very well furnished. Nice Location overlooking the harbor and quiet. Good value for money if you're on a budget.
“a nice, reasonable, clean, cute apartment with a view”
should i say anymore! the staff were pleasant and friendly. they helped us with area info and places to go, track to hike with a gorgeous view. the apartment was clean and had ample kitchen implements.
“What a View!”
We really enjoyed our stay at the appartamento Belvedere. The location was wonderful, an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the train. The view from the terrace was great and the terrace, though small, was big enough for a couple to sit and eat. As well, the space itself was comfortable though basic, well equipped and a good size for our needs. Also, dealing with your office staff was good. The speed to repair the two items we identified was really appreciated. The only issues we had were: a) the hill to get baggage up to the apartment; one of your agents helped us, when he saw we were really having problems, but there is a service we found out about afterwards that we would have paid for to help with baggage.. perhaps in the confirmation, you might mention this and help arrange it.. This would help us older travelers b) there is a step up to the kitchen sink; I fell backwards three times, once quite nastily, then moved the table to try to minimize the risk.. not sure how you can fix this, except perhaps to add another step between the floor and that one.. however, I may not be the only klutz around and someone might hurt themselves We enjoyed our stay.. sorry for the delay in reviewing. We just got home.
“It was nice experience”
Clean and nice vier from balcony. I really enjoy Manarola's quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Belvedere apartment is the nicest place to feel cinque terre i think. But, don' t expect the level of services that hotels offer.
“Relaxation and Exertion in Unique Countryside”
Our apartment was the perfect base from which to explore the enchanting Cinqueterre and beyond. We were in a very central location in what we considered to be the best town to stay in - Manarola. Nestled amongst the local houses and just far enough from the touristy streets. The balcony was a great place to enjoy breakfast and/ or an evening vino from the local vineyard whilst taking in the view. Veronica was very helpful on arrival, as were all the staff when we had questions during our stay. The apartment is not luxurious but very clean, comfortable and good value for money. We were close to very nice local eateries. There were a couple of minor maintenance points that needed attention but we hope they will be fixed before your stay.
“Pleasant stay in a clean and presentable accomodation.”
The staff welcomed and esorted us to the clean and presentable accomodation in an efficient and courteous manner. The apartment was only small but this is standard for the location. The location was good and was reached by a pathway and not steps which was ideal with the luggage we had.It was in close proximity to the town with a nice view over to the sea even though partially onstructed. The room was not prepared for three both the bedding and utentisals etc only set up for a double. The rate was expensive even though travelling in the peak season.
No aC but they got us a fan. Place was dirty and wife had to do some cleaning. The view from the balcony was great but very small. The place is good for 2 adults and two kids. Manarola was a great place to stay. A very local flavor and nice areas to swim.
This apartment was exactly what we were looking for; a simple, clean space to sleep in between our hiking and swimming and explorations of the marvelous Cinque Terre. The view is quite nice, the amenities are simply but totally adequate, and we loved the location. A great choice.
“Lovely place to call home”
Clean, attractive, well-supplied apartment. Bedroom has lots of storage space; pullout couch in main room was quite comfortable. Lovely view from above of tides crashing against the walls of the harbour. This town and this apartment were highlights of our very successful 5 weeks in Italy!
We stayed in apartment Belvedere for 5 nights. We liked it very much for the following reasons:quiet, lots of windows that open, a view of the water, sunset views from the balcony, reasonable price for time of year, out the back door two nearby "viewing areas", one overlooks the ocean and the train tunnel, the other is out to the right and winds around to expansive views of the water and sunset. The location is perfect because you are very much in a local neighborhood and one can see real life unfold...evening card players, local knitters chatting, men and women deeply involved in the grape harvest which seems to be very serious business. This was our second stay in the Manarola. I like both places were we stayed, but this one was better because of the local color. I would definelty stay here again. The owner lives in the upper floors of the building. We met her briefly. She is gracious and we deduced she wants her clinets to be happy despite our communication barrier. There was another apartment next to ours. I did get a glimpse of it. It was much bigger than ours and very nice too, but I liked ours better, cozier, I guess. Do know that the balcony adjoins the balcony in the next apartment with a just a railing to separte the two. We hung up a makeshift visual barrier as soon as we got there just to establish personal space. We really never saw or heard any one on the balcony during our 5 nights there, and the apartment next to us was rented. So wse did not see this as a problem at all though we thought it might be. Arbaspaa, the agency that markets the apartment was very nice people, easy going and willing to please and help. All in all this was a great place for us to kick back and enjoy Cinque Terre.
