“We stayed here for the amazing view and that is what we got.”
We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights to celebrate a significant birthday. We spent most of our time on the small balcony and the owners provided 4 very comfortable director style chairs and two folding lounge type chairs. There is no table for outside and that would have been nice to have just to hold a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The view is really wonderful. The rest of the apartment is average but serviceable. The beds are very hard/firm and there is a bit of noise from neighbors and the extremely loud church bells which begin at 7am. There is not much room in the common area of the apartment--the kitchen. It is tiny but we were able to make due with the 2 burner electric hot plate and found everything we needed. It is wonderful to open the doors to the balcony and make breakfast with the gorgeous view 10 feet away. It was a bit of a bummer to give up the bedroom with doors opening to the balcony to the kids; but that room has the twin beds while the other bedroom with partial view on the side of the building has the larger queen size bed. There was also only one fan and the apartment could get quite warm. The price seemed fair for the area and time of year and we booked quite last minute so we felt lucky to find anything at all in that price bracket.
We loved our stay in Manorola and part of the reason was staying in this apartment. The view was amazing! The breeze coming in the windows was wonderful. This is probably not for older people or people with young children as it is quite a hike through town to get to the apt. and there are stairs involved. As for children, the balcony may be a danger for toddlers. But we were two couples and it was perfect for us and all of our hiking throughout the Cinque Terre! We would stay here again.
the place was good, location and views were awesome. it was kind of hard to find out where to pick up keys though and what the process wad at check in.
The best thing about htis apartment is the view and balcony. Both bedrooms are a good size and just one living space. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls and didn't need any more space as most of the time we were either out and about or on the balcony. Highly recommend the apartment and company who books it. Apartment is also next to Billy's restaurant which is worth a visit. Shower not the best as water from it went all over the floor. From visting all the other towns in the CT Manarola for us was by far the best. Less touristy and great restaruant down by the harbour. Swimming also great and juumping off the rocks. Be prepared for a walk up to the apartment as it is high above the village!
“Great view, clean, cosy”
Stayed 4 nights in april 2014. Wonderful view of the sea and the hills, very comfortable, nice place to come back to after a day of hiking the hills. My only gripes are: - This day and age, you have to put in a microwave. People are getting an apartment with a kitchen for a reason. - Shower: it's in a corner, open on two sides and only has a curtain. As hard as you may try, there's still going to be some water on the floor. - Noise: not too bad yet, but there's a tavern right next door, open pretty late, with tables outside. We saw another restaurant being added just two steps away. This is too bad - would be far better to keep them all "downtown" near the sea and let people have peace and quiet.
Really well set out apartment with everything you need. The views are amazing and it was lovely to sit out side in the afternoon sun with a drink. The restaurant next door was so handy and the food great. (You could not hear any noise from that in the apartment.) Would recommend to fellow travellers.
“a view to remember”
Thoughtfully furbished and spacious apartment with lots of privacy and a $$$m view. We loved the balcony and great wifi accessabilty. Not really suitable if you have mobility issues and big luggage, the stairs to the 2nd floor is so narrow and steep, it is a real struggle. A long uphill walk with lots of steps- great place if you don't mind walking, like us, especially at the end of a day out. Service from the agent is faultless. There was plenty of linen/blankets but there was also a sweaty smell when you open the cupboard in the bedroom, suggesting some linen/blankets were probably aired and stored in the cupboard. I would prefer to have just enough fresh clean linen/blankets rather plenty of spares which may not be fresh. Personally would stay there again.
“What a view...”
Appartamento Panorama lived up to its title...the view from both the kitchen/living space and one of the bedrooms was not to be believed. The apartment was well appointed with dishwasher, clothes washer and lots of little extras...and it's right next door to the best restaurant in town! It's quite a hike up to the apartment including the internal stairs which are amazingly steep, but strapping young Stephano from the agency helped us up the final flight! So what's holding me back from a full five stars...There was a persistent mildew odor in the bathroom, which seemed to come from the clothes washer. And there is really no "living area" other than the kitchen which is roomy and has a table that comfortably serves 4. For the price, I'd have expected a bit more...
“Remarkable accommodations at Panorama!”
Loved our Panorama apartment for the 3 short days we stayed in Paradise, also known as Manarola. Clean, well stocked, comfortable, quiet, quaint and a great work out for our quads each time we came back "home." Arbaspaa was professional, helpful, welcoming and very responsive to all email communications from the USa. Thank you for a most memorable part of our 30th anniversary celebration.
“Awesome! Sorry, I know it's a cliche but ...”
This place - Appartamento Panorama - is wonderful! Just look at the photo - it's really got a drop-dead gorgeous view. But one has to work for it! It's quite a climb up the hill to get to the place, and then lots of stairs up to the top of it's building. But we loved it and wish we could have stayed longer. The interior is refreshed in the way that many of the buildings of this era are refreshed inside, and very up-to-date in its furnishings. It's a bit mix-and-match, which adds to its charm - if we had wanted matchy matchy there are plenty of sanitized rooms and hotels to stay in. There are two bedrooms, which is a life saver for a family of three with a snorer. One bedroom has twin beds & windows that open out to the small patio and amazing view, as does the main living area - a kitchen, really. It was very well outfitted, so I feel like we could have saved some money by cooking there if we had wanted to. We visited all the 5 towns, and Manarola is by far our favorite - good mix of tourist amenities (i.e. lots of good restaurants, gift shops, and gelato) and real stores serving real residents. Arbaspaa were great hosts, though this is clearly a business venture, not a family-run accommodation. All in all, this was a fabulous first visit to Manarola, and we hope to return.
