“Manarola - what a gem!”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

Opening our door in the morning you could hear almost nothing - no traffic, just a cockerel crowing on the hill opposite, the gentle lapping of waves, and a few voices and laughter across the valley - so peaceful once we were off the main street. There were photographic opportunities everywhere. One had to have reasonable knees to cope with all the steps and hills, but I'm sure it was good for our hearts! Three nights wasn't enough.

“Great place!”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

This apparent is in a great location. It doesn't quite have a view of the sea, but it is just write around the corner. It was nice that it wasn't up too many steps, as carrying our luggage any further would have been difficult. The kitchen is very nice, and had pots, pans, coffee maker, tea pot, etc. The shower is small but not too bad. The bed isn't great, but certainly comfortable enough. It is great for two people and would be ok with three, but start to feel too cramped.

“Perfect, self-contained hide-away.”

Appartamento Porticciolo was a perfect little apartment in an ideal location. The 'cave' was bright, clean and modern with excellent kitchen, shower & toilet facilities. The bed was comfortable and plenty of clean linen was supplied. The wee patio doesn't get any sun which would be a bonus on hot summer days. Being located in the lower part of the village, the apartment is close to good restaurants and the sea (leave the window open & listen to the waves crashing on the rocks below). The arbaspaa office was a little difficult to locate as the tobacconist we were looking for was closed with no obvious signage. A bold street number would be useful, however arbaspaa service was faultless -they helped carry our bags, offered tourist tips and arranged internet usage at a local shop for us. Manarola was a great location, easy train access, fantastic views (take a torch to wander the streets & paths at night), friendly locals (sunset on the rocks with wine, pizza & disposable cups provided by bakery La Cambusa!), live music at La Cantina & superb seafood at Taverna Il Porticciolo.

“Great Small apartment”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2013

This is a very nice apartment ideally situated in the middle of the town. Small balcony has a lovely outlook over the town. This was perfect for our small family of 3 but is really a studio with no separate bedrooms. It was simple and very clean - perfect for our short stay. There is no laundry facilities & no wifi available here & we had to use the various cafes offering free wifi but we had a great stay.

“amazing find!”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2013

We are so happy we found this apartment! Its in a perfect lication. At the bottow of town where you can hear the calm Manarola waters. The bed was comfortable and everything you need is provided! The bathroom gets a lil wet due to the curtained shower, but we found this alot while traveling through italy. Only hassel was trying to check in before 7pm, especially when there are issueswith trains out of your ccontrol! We loved our stay in Manarola.. our only hesitation in recommending this, is theat more people will find out about our favorite place in the whole world!!

“A very lovely stay”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

We spent 3 nights in early May. It was delightful, a great location and very efficient. The view from the small terrace is lovely. The apartment is nicely laid out and has all of the amenities you need. Manarola is delightful and it is easy to cruise to the other towns or take the train. A very sweet spot. Arbaspaa was great to work with and I would not hesitate to use them again.

“enjoyed my stay!”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

I was meeting up with some friends who were staying at another apartment. I liked this apartment. Can sleep 3 people comfortably. Was spacious enough and very good value for money. It doesn't have a spectacular view of the sea, but then again it was close to the main town square.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. A wonderful experience.”

The property was ideally located halfway down the village with good privacy. The agency was very convenient being placed almost at the entrance to the tunnel to the station. Restaurants, walk-ways, the water and the Ferry were very close. The stairs were easily negotiated.

“An enjoyable experience”

Apart from the rather detached attitude of the person at reception we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manarola. The appartment suited our needs, was clean and well placed. Transport to the surrounding attractions was excellent, even the mid week storm was a spectacle.A little staff training at charm school would have earned another star.

Our apartment was in a great spot, right in Manarola, up a few steps and overlooking the village. All amenities were great - good bathroom, great kitchen, lots of space for only a one bedroom apartment. Would recommend it to anyone. Arbaspaa were very helpful when arriving and when we wanted to book other trips through them. Would definitely recommend anyone to book through them and stay in Manarola. Thanks again!! :)
